My favorites things on the menu: * Brioche French Toast * Biscuits & Gravy * Salted Caramel Iced Latte * Loaded Homefries * Fresh Orange Juice * Brooklyn Cheesecake French Toast The new loaded homefries are amazing! Needless to say even though the footprint was basically the same the interior has been changed is very open and inviting. A friend and I were there for lunch around 1:30 on a Monday. No issue getting a table and were seated immediately. Katie our server was very nice, pleasant and efficient. Drink were brought out quickly and our order taken. My friend got an omelet special with Irish bangers and cheese with home fries and rye toast. She enjoyed the omelet and I have to say the rye bread was outstanding. Don't think it's made in house but were ever they get it from is really good. I got a lunch special of Pot Roast sandwich with onions, mushrooms and cheese on thick cut bread. It was served with a au jus dipping sauce. If it's on the menu don't hesitate to get it, it was outstanding and so stuffed I could only eat half. Will absolutely be returning to Toast !

For my meal I got the poblano omelette and my friend ordered the two egg breakfast which came with choice of meat, toast and hash-browns. Food came out in a reasonable amount of time but someone other than our waitress brought it out and then our waitress never really came back. When she finally did come back I asked for hot sauce, and she took a while to come back with it. By the time she came back with it, I was already pretty much done/full. Overall, food was alright but service needs improvement.

However, when we called Toast, the girl on the phone said there was a 40 minute wait and she was also rude. So we immediately opted out. It was 11:30am on a Thursday. We then decided to go to the old standby, IHOP. This location was off Sunrise Highway, around the left side of the mall. It has its own entrance from the outside and plenty of parking. We could see from the windows that there was hardly anyone inside. It was pouring rain and we were hungry. So we went against the low rated Yelp reviews and empty seats, and listened to our stomachs (and the hangry tweenager). We were kindly greeted upon entering. We asked for a booth and got seated at a clean table by the windows. Our waitress came right over to take our drink order. She was kind and efficient. An apple juice, a pot of decaf and a pot of regular coffee came to the table hot and fresh. We needed a few minutes to look over the menu and she obliged. We placed our order when she came back. We had a few questions and she answered them all with a smile. I would like to say that I had very low expectations because of our local IHOP where we live. We used to go often and it is so poorly run. The food is always wrong and always COLD! I don't get why it's always crowded. Who wants cold pancakes!? We spoke to a manager every time, who fixed the food and apologized, which is great...but it was literally EVERY. TIME. So we stopped going there. Well, this experience was the exact opposite. When the food came out, not only was it all correct, but it was also HOT! The way it's supposed to be. We were a party of 3 hungry gals and not one morsel was left on our plates. If I had to complain about anything, it would be the prices. They were pretty high and they charge you for every little thing. But that's not the fault of the restaurant. We paid $70 bucks for breakfast, for 3 people. At IHOP. We were able to take our time and enjoy our meal and each other's company. We were also given coffee cups to go for whatever was not finished from the pot. We would definitely come back again if in the area. Sorry TOAST.

I had reached out online and Nikki, the co-owner, was prompt in responding with packages and options. I had shopped around with almost every restaurant in Bay Shore and their packages were the most reasonable. Communication with Nikki was seamless and easy. Booking required an upfront deposit, headcount was due 2 weeks before the event, and rest of the payment was due 1 week beforehand. We had the buffet style and got: -Choice of 3 cold platters: chopped iceberg salad, spinach salad, and orzo salad -Choice of one vegetable: grilled vegetables with balsamic glaze -Choice of starch: garlic mashed potatoes -Choice of pasta with an add-on pasta: penne ala vodka, orecchiette with sausage and broccoli -Choice of 2 hot entrees: bulgogi beef, seafood paella with an add-on salmon -Choice of 1 dessert: seasonal bread pudding The day of, I arrived about an hour early and set up was super easy as the upstairs is already gorgeously decorated for the holidays. The wait staff were already ready and very helpful in helping me bring in items. The sound system had Christmas music on already and they had set up part of the room with extra white linen tables for our white elephant activity and a DIY photobooth (which I brought). The entire event was wonderful and our group had a wonderful time. Every dish we got was INCREDIBLE and so tasty. There isn't a single dish that wasn't perfectly cooked and seasoned. My favorites were the the bulgogi beef, paella, salads, the orecchiette (but I'm a sucker for this dish), and bread pudding. The team was also very kind with dietary restrictions, putting meat/dairy salad toppings off to the side, and making vegetarian and vegan bibimbap bowls. Of note, their korean dishes are SPECTACULAR as Nikki's mom, Helen, is korean! Can't wait for next year's party and many of my team members are now interested in hosting their own parties here! Highly highly recommend!

My go-to are the Ceviche, Calamari, Korean Lettuce Wraps, and the Pan-Seared Scallops. The Ceviche is always amazing! Easily one of the best apps on their menu. The Calamari is well battered and seasoned with sweet chili. I love the Pan Seared Scallops - the figs, grits, and bacon give it a well-rounded taste of sweet and savory. This is one of my favorite seafood spots in Bay Shore (there are others) and one I visit often in the summer time. I recommend popping by if you're in the area, especially when the weather is warm out!
