Absolutely phenomenal. As a major foodie that travels East & West, Frankies823 was without a doubt Fantastic. Not only the outstanding service but the food is amazing. Frankie goes over the abundance of great specials that you become overwhelmed of their menu. Tuna tartare special great, even the bread selection they give you is like being back in the city with prosciutto bread basket served with homemade butter, olives etc amazing. Ceasar salad great, baked clams excellent. Halibut special and surf & turf special with abundant 9oz filet mignon cooked perfectly and lobster tail tender and succulent for its size. Dessert included crème brûlée and pistachio truffle all good. Frankie is killing it, get your reservations in you won't be able to get in here once the word gets out. Date night out with my husband, we had gift cards so decided to come here. Place is small and cozy, with a separate room for parties. Service was excellent. We were seated quickly and got water and bread without having to ask for it. For appetizers my husband and I both had the special - lobster bisque with crabmeat. Huge portion and very good. For dinner, I had the Pappardelle pasta & boneless short rib. Really nice one dish meal, and the short rib had delicious flavor. My husband had the fresh fettuccine & filet mignon. He said for an Italian place, the steak was very good. Both dishes were very filling. For dessert I had the pistachio truffle and my husband had the chocolate flourless cake. Cake was rich but the ice cream complemented it nicely. The pistachio truffle was beautifully presented and had excellent flavors. Overall, the meal was excellent, and service was good too. Finally got back to a long standing neighborhood classic after many years courtesy of gift cards from a good friend. Accommodated us without a reservation and had a great spot near the fireplace. Restaurant was decorated nicely and service was excellent. Maple old fashion to start with our burrata salad with crispy prosciutto, accompanied by the delicious warm bread which they kindly provided extra! My special basil encrusted halibut was delicious as was the pappardelle and short ribs. Finished with a very nice cocoa tartuffo. Definitely heading back and not waiting so long!. read more

I recently went to villa sorrento and while I really loved this place recently. I usually recommend the prefix menu which is usually available Sunday through Thursday excluding holidays as in the past the food was excellent for a great price. My family went for my dad's birthday on a Saturday which was not during prefix menu and therefore it was very pricy for the same portion we all got a salad and an entree and we felt slightly disappointed in the quality and price. That being said the options were pretty varied and there were plenty of dishes that seemed delicious. But the ones we ordered (chicken dish , a fish dish , and a special which was a pasta dish) just didn't seem worth the heavy price tag. The service was great and attentive and the ambiance is nice as you sit nicely in a cute house transformed to a restaurant. read more

Me and my girlfriend just went to Villa Sorrento for Restaurant week and it was delicious. Usually I don't get my hopes up with restaurant week bc of smaller choices, smaller plates but it was delightful. The salads we ordered for our apps were some of the best we've ever had, the crispy half duck as my dinner was perfection. Only complaint would be 2 of my girlfriends tortellinis were undercooked to the point it was inedible. Maybe they didn't get submerged in the boiling water, it didn't matter though everything else was great and I will go back and dine with their regular menu very soon! read more

Ive been to this restaurant 3x for retirement parties. The service is good and the food is awesome. The homemade chips are so good! My only complaint would be that it only has one bathroom. Beware: the prices are cheaper online than inside. I came here to order the penne a la vodka. It says $18 online but it's $20 at the restaurant. First fail. Our bread came without butter so we had to ask two people for butter. 10 min later, it finally came. Note that it was not at all busy. We waited over an hour for our main meal. We didn't order appetizers, only our main dishes (2 people). In the meantime, while waiting, no one checked up on us and no one offered to clean our table. I am doing this review for a friend that doesn't have a computer. On Saturday, 3/4/23, Pat had a surprise party for her granddaughter who recently graduated from Beauty School. The party was catered by Villa Sorrento with skirt steak, chicken Francais,mashed potatoes and bread. Everyone complimented Pat over the meal. 20 people literally wiped out the food quickly. For the prices of the food they have some nerve handing me a piece of paper with printing so light (not faded) that words were unrecognizable. Also classic Italian dishes just were not on the menu, unless they were just too light to read. No one brought us water or offered us bread for a while. We had a social event catered by Villa Sorrento this afternoon and we cannot express how amazing the delivery, set up and food was. Working with Sal (the owner) and Judy was amazing. Sal made some terrific suggestions on what dishes to offer our guests and he was right on! The veggies were amazing, sword fish delicious and not a bit of eggplant rollotini was left over. If he suggests his Gorgonzola salad, take it. The dressing was amazing. Cannot say enough good things about the restaurant or SAL! We just left the restaurant without eating dinner. We arrived at 8:00, ordered a bottle of wine and an appetizer. The hours said it closed at 10 pm. There was one party which was finished and one other table close to finishing. As we took a bite of the appetizer they came over to us and told us we had to order dinner because the kitchen was closing at 8:30. We had just taken the first bite of our appetizer and we said that we would order in a short time. It was 8:15. . We asked why they didn't advise us of this when the hours said a 10 pm close. Obviously they just wanted to go home. They changed the story that the kitchen closed at 9 pm. But we were so annoyed that we packed up our bottle of wine and left. My family threw my Baby Shower at Villa Sorrento yesterday and it was absolutely perfect! Their attentive service did not go unnoticed by guests and the food was exceptional! I had the Lasagna, which is something I rarely order but being pregnant, that's just how things go, and I MUST go get more! Haha. It was that good! The punch was delicious, wish I could have had about 5 glasses but baby ruled otherwise. The room was perfect for our guest count, about 50, and we were able to place open gifts right by the door for easy transport to the cars. We ordered family dinner for 6 so we would end up with some left overs. We had beef barley soup, goat cheese and beet salad, chicken parm and chicken Marsala. So good!! They suggested a stuffed artichoke which was so good. We really love eating in at this restaurant but I have to say eating at home was a nice treat! Great choice and highly recommended. Service was good, food was average I got the mini rice balls and they were cold on the inside, you could tell they were frozen and quickly microwaved. If I could give this restaurant ZERO stars I would. I recently went to this restaurant for my jobs holiday Christmas party and they treated us terribly . The owner is extremely unprofessional, sexist, and rude! He "shushed" our table of 15 people multiple times making all of us extremely uncomfortable. Meanwhile the entire restaurant was EMPTY! They advertise "open bar" party packages .. yet they tallied our drinks and REFUSED to serve us BEFORE our dinner was even served . I would NEVER return to this restaurant! Upon entering the restaurant, we were so glad to see the plastic dividers which separated all the tables. We were given a great table in the corner, next to no one. We felt very comfortable taking off our masks and sat down to enjoy a wonderful birthday dinner for my wife. Our server, FLORA, was gracious and hospitable. We had specialty drinks, which were absolutely delicious. My wife had a cucumber Martini poinsettia , and I had a Bourbon Sour. 2 great choices! For appetizers, we had the mussels and also the veal meatballs. Absolutely scrumptious. Our entrees were the same, the short ribs. Cooked to perfection with fresh cauliflower and brussels sprouts, and a hefty portion of mashed potatoes. Flora was very aware of all our needs, and was a sweet addition to our dining experience. I have never been treated so poorly by a host then I did tonight. The owner (I believe) had told me that he would be able to accommodate my party for the evening at 8pm earlier on (7pm) We arrived on time only to see that the restaurant was packed with about 25 other individuals waiting to be seated. I spoke to the host who I believed to be the owner, and was told that it would be a couple minutes to sit down. No issue. However once it became 8:30 I spoke to the owner once again. His response? "What do you want me to do im backed up" and that it was going to be another 20 minutes. He spoke to me with utter arrogance and didn't even seem to care about me, the customer. I had asked him then, why he had agreed to take my reservation to which he just shrugged his shoulders. Essentially, the owner lied about having space to attract more customers and keep them waiting. He didn't care to be apologetic or show any remorse. It's a shame because my family has been coming here for years. After this experience we will never be coming back. It's a shame when a host truly doesn't care about his customers. read more
