The diner is spotless, and very nice inside, clean and well decorated. I had a delicious bacon, lettuce and tomato club with excellent potato salad (some of the best I have had in a very long time. Lisa had the Greek Chicken soup and loved it. We splurged and had a wonderful blueberry cobler. The service was excellent and the host very friendly. read more

Long time since I've been here. Talked in to trying the dinner special. Salad, appetizer, soup and main dish, followed by dessert and coffee. All for $24.95 and up. You would think that would be a good deal, but not much tastes good, besides the soup. Even the bread in the bread basket was stale. read more

Went there at 7 on a Friday night. Place was empty. That should have been my first indication that this experience was going to be bad. No respectable Long Island diner is empty on a Friday night. The one redeeming quality was our server, who could not have been nicer, however the rest of our experience was terrible. Bathrooms? Gross. Absolutely disgusting. Floors were sticky and the whole bathroom looked and smelled like it hadn't been cleaned in decades. Our food was "meh". And don't even think you're going to get decent Cole slaw here. It was if someone said "just use water and a lot of sugar and hold the mayo. Sugary coke slaw? Gross. The pickle however was pretty good, but I can assure you I would not recommend going anywhere based on the quality of their pickles. How this place could possibly stay in business is beyond me. Take a pass on the millennium diner you'll be glad you did. read more

The millennium is outstanding every time I come to town! The service is amazing you don't get that everywhere! These comments are ridiculous but not surprising considering everyone wants to complain just surprised it comes from some locals but I don't think they are from there. Especially the dude that ordered a Cobb salad and a quesadilla from a Long Island diner wth ‍ portions are huge and breakfast is amazing! Sad that my hometown has so many complainers now honestly glad I don't live there anymore but miss the food so much read more

I recently attended a relative's baby shower at the Millennium Diner. Soula went above and beyond to make sure the event was perfect. The portions of food were generous and I enjoyed the chicken caesar salad. Looking forward to going back for breakfast. Bright and cheerful atmosphere. read more

Millennium Diner in Smithtown earns a solid three stars from me. It is a classic diner with all the basics you would expect, but nothing that really stands out. The ambience is decent with a typical diner layout, plenty of booths, and a casual atmosphere. It is comfortable enough, but it feels a bit dated and could use some refreshing to make it more inviting. The service was ok. The staff was polite but not particularly attentive. It took a while to get seated even though there were open tables, and the wait for someone to take our order felt longer than it should have been. Throughout the meal the service was inconsistent. Sometimes it was easy to get a refill or ask a question, and at other times it felt like we were completely overlooked. Nothing was terrible, but nothing really impressed either. The food was also just ok. The menu is standard diner fare, which is fine, but several dishes needed more flavor or better execution. Portions were good, and everything came out warm, but the overall quality felt average at best. It is the type of meal that fills you up but doesn't leave you excited to return. Overall Millennium Diner delivers an acceptable dining experience, but it does not go beyond that. The service is ok, the ambience is ok, and the food is ok. It works when you need something quick and familiar, but it is not a place I would go out of my way for. Three stars feels fair. read more

Terrific service! Great food! Large group but, the service was SUPER! Staff was so helpful!

Stopped by to meet up with old friends for lunch. Ordered tuna salad platter and it tasted like it had been hanging around a bit too long Friends Rueben sandwich was also stale and hard We should have sent them back but didn't really talk about the food until after we'd left. Other friend liked her Greek salad. Prices high for what we were served Bathrooms were clean Waitress was very friendly and efficient read more

This is the diner of my youth having grown up in Smithtown . When the pub we were at closed the kitchen we needed an alternative and I quickly remembered this diner . It failed to meet even the lowest expectations and was just a sad experience . I have a rule about diners , especially ones with a 7 page menu complete with pictures . It's very simple : Burgers Fries Eggs Maybe a Turkey Club Stick to that and you should be ok . We didn't . The good Fries were good . I know that's hard to mess up but we need some positives here . I ordered a Cobb salad It was just fair The hard boiled egg had a green yolk as it was likely over cooked . But all in all it was at least edible It ends there We ordered a cheese Quesadilla that was frankly inedible . We ordered pretzel bites ....well I should have taken a picture . A shape I have never witnessed , but they had virtually no salt and were rock hard . You could have broken a tooth on them . We asked for honey mustard . I'm still trying to process the concoction we were served . It was like French's mustard , with maybe a bit of Golden Blossom added and a strong taste of Vinegar . Honey mustard is a pretty standard thing . This was in a class of its own . The food came with these warm pita triangles which while we did not partake , were warm and perhaps the least offensive thing we were served . Our waiter was nice enough , but fell asleep next to the glass partition on the other side of our table . But I partially blame myself . If I had ordered a cheeseburger , or an omelette ,maybe this review would be different . But I'll never know because unfortunately I would not go back . read more

Great service, pleasant staff, great food and fair pricing. Always a pleasurable experience.

The Millennium Diner has been a Smithtown institution for decades and still going strong. You can always come here anytime of day for home-cooked style comfort food. Their Manhattan Clam Chowder is best around hands down as is their Cheeseburger Deluxe. Diner classics all the way! Service is always warm and welcoming. I always feel like I'm being doted on by my mom! They really do care about the customer's experience. We've been coming here for years and always have had satisfying experiences either for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. During this horrible pandemic, the Millennium Diner never closed its doors to the community, so please in turn support this wonderful Smithtown establishment. read more

Great spot great food all around good place to go to if in the area of smithtown!!!!!

We are lucky that Long Island has countless diners to choose from, and usually, of the highest quality. That justifies the higher prices that you'll see for seemingly regular dishes, like a simple breakfast plate or even a regular burger. I made sure to try a couple of different dishes from here before I wrote my review. It's disheartening that a diner close to me misses the mark time and time again. A month ago, I got the banana walnut pancakes delivered by DoorDash - I live about five minutes away so I expected it to be warm and fresh. Well, it certainly was warm but fresh? I ate my first bite and recognized the taste immediately - the walnuts were incredibly bitter. Inedibly bitter. If you're baked with walnuts before, you know that very bitter walnuts mean they are rancid. While I rarely complain to DoorDash, I did to get my money back. Last night, I craved a Turkey burger with fries and a piece of lemon meringue pie, a simple order that I felt was hard to mess up. When I took a bite of the Turkey burger, it felt flat and flavorless. I looked at it and it was incredibly thin and flat. No, I didn't take a picture because at that point, I hadn't eaten for the whole day, it was 11PM, and I wanted to down my calories and move on to sleeping. But there is no way that they made it fresh - it had the look and taste of an old, budget, freezer burned turkey patty. The lemon meringue pie was okay, although some of meringue was super sticky/marshmellowy, which tastes good haha, but also tells me that the lemon meringue pie likely wasn't made that day (how meringue can change). I hate to say it, and you can check my reviews because I don't give 1 or 2 stars often, but I unfortunately do not recommend this diner. There are too many in the area, like Island Lake, that take pride in the food they make and match the prices that they charge with the quality they provide. This is not one of them. read more

No luck Menu was nice very welcoming. But the fries were old. No pickle or coleslaw with 20 dollar souvlaki. Watery dressing. And waitress circled the gratuity section. Which I really didn't like. I will try again Maybe. read more

More like the MillenniYUCK Diner. First, my omelette (Athenian) was delish. However, hash browns were either old or cooked in old oil. My son ordered Mac n cheese and got $7 Craft Mac n cheese! We asked for my other son's cheeseburger well done , came out burnt. I think the corned beef hash is canned too. Should've just eaten at home. Never going back. No service issues. read more

I have been coming to this diner ALMOST every week for about a year. I always get 1 of 3 things, Burger and Fries Platter, a Gyro, or a breakfast platter like an omelet or something with eggs. I haven't been here in a few weeks. I had to take some time off from work for health issues. When I came back I ran to the diner for a Bacon Cheese Burger and fries platter, and coffee. Now look, I realize times are tough and food is expensive, but $30 for a bacon cheeseburger and fries and a cup of coffee. It's far more excessive than I'm willing to deal with. I know other diners with food that's just as good that doesn't cost as much. I feel like there's a bit of price gouging going on here. Just because it's Smithtown doesn't mean that you have to break someone's bank for a cooked meal. The prices were not this high 2 months ago. With tip it used to cost about $26. This came to $30 today, and that's without the tip. If it were any place else, I would've refused the order. Unfortunately, as much as I truly love this place I will not be eating here anymore because I simply cannot afford it. If and when I feel like a burger in the future, I'll have to hit up Burger King or McDonald's down the road. read more

I wish I could give negative stars. I made the mistake of ordering some dessert items from them via a delivery app. One cream pie slice, one fruit pie slice both ala mode, chocolate pudding and a big cookie No cream pie arrived and they sent a disgusting old gummy slice of lemon pie, a hard old stale slice apple pie, ice cream that tasted like freezer burn and a chocolate chip cookie that had chocolate chips on top that had oxidized and turn WHITISH as chocolate does when it expires..I suspect this rock hard cookie was made sometime in the early 2000s. oh and the chocolate pudding...tasted like refrigerator and onions and had hard lumps in it. Damn us for wanting sweets while watching american horror story. Somebody needs to do an inspection on this place its was revolting. read more

It's a nice Dinner in Smithtown and I have been there a few times! Good food good service good atmosphere!

Not a bad place at all. Standard Long Island diner fare. They do make a pretty decent turkey club that is both tasty and filling........plenty of bacon to clog your arteries. Soups and burgers are also pretty good. Service is friendly and fast. read more

The chocolate chip pancakes are to die for ! Got the western omelette this had lots of great flavor and fresh veggies

Eh, the juke box stole my friends 50¢ after it teased me and looked like it was about to play me some Sinatra ... I already didn't like the place. The training waiter was a cool dude though! The waitress... she's the one you know has been working in diners since she was a teenager and really just has no will to live left in her. The food was good, but the buffalo chicken wrap doesn't have any buffalo sauce in it apparently, make sure to ask for some or you'll just get chopped up chicken fingers. It's an expensive place but so many diners are nowadays. Popped in after a cool yelp event next door and I easily could have just grabbed a slice of pizza on the way home, but those waffle fries did really hit the spot! Nothing greatly out of the ordinary with this diner. Nothing too awful either; just your average middle of the road greasy spoon read more

Been to this diner a couple times in the past. Service and food is usually pretty good. Like all diners the menu is huge with a lot of options. Typically we get the breakfast items. My boys shared the hungry man special so they had a little of everything. They loved the sausages. One of the bacon slices was cooked really well and the other slice seemed a little undercooked. I ordered the egg salad with bacon on toast. The salad could have used a little bit more salt. In the past we've ordered the nutella french toast which was good. read more

I really liked that they have healthy options to eat. I love me an eggs Benedict, and I even more love avocado, so when they had EGGS AVOCADO I had to have it. Tried the corned beef hash and while it doesn't seem like it's from a can, something was off. I loved their potatoes on the side. Didn't catch what they actually call them but I assume home fries. Very charming place! Kept the water coming which was great and they were quick with everything. Staff was really nice! Saw a bunch of things in the cases I'd love to come back and try. read more

This place has really horrendous food, slow service (but a lovely waitress) & I'm actually surprised it had as many people eating there as it did. I got a junior Greek salad with chicken. The side of pita was hard. The Greek dressing was super creamy (not a vinaigrette). The Greek salad was missing grape leaves. The chicken was over cooked and bland-- it actually tasted kinda reheated. The salad lettuce was watery. The people are lovely, but the food really wasn't up to snuff. Definitely not a good LI diner experience (food wise) and I won't be back. read more
