Great little place for afternoon tea and kids tea. Nice selection of teas. Unlimited with the afternoon tea service. The kids loved the macaroni and cheese and Nutella sandwich. Hot chocolate milk and fruit salad. Adult tea with standard sandwich selection. Too full to eat the scone and desserts. We took them home. Lovely service from Chad. A must if you enjoy tea.

This place is quaint clean and adorable! The grounds are very pretty and there are lots of shops to walk around before or after. Really lovely experience with plenty of choices of tea, sandwiches, salads. Great options for vegetarians as well. Just wish they served champagne but I understand it's strictly a tea house. Everyone here was very friendly but they were definitely overwhelmed and very busy. It did take a while to get more honey, napkins. Would definitely come back.

I'm so glad I found this place! I had a great meal as a first time customer at Robinson's Tea Room with a friend First, the decor and vibe was so pleasant and something to look at on every wall. Second, we got the tea service which was worth every penny with endless tea options + 3 tiers of sandwiches, scones & desserts-there was so much food we took some home. The tea was amazing, and served a perfect temperature too. Also, the manager Linda was awesome and was honest that they were a tad short staffed but it didn't affect our experience because I had time to catch up with my friend and not feel rushed. Try this place if you're in the area

I came for afternoon tea here with my mom and had a beyond wonderful experience! This is not only the cutest place but the experience is something everyone should have at least once in their life. First off, the ambience is incredible. The music and decor are so fitting with the theme. Our waitress Athena made our experience even better! She was so kind and explained the process to us and answered all of our questions. Robinson's is so lucky to have her. I did the tea service which they serve with fine bone china. For the tea, I tried the vanilla cupcake rooibos and apple cinnamon french toast. The cupcake one was my favorite and the best tea I've ever had in my life. I've never put creamer in my tea but it made it 10x better. I went with the roasted vegetable soup which was phenomenal and full of flavor. As for the tiers, I had a lemon coconut scone with clotted cream and jam. The jam was incredible and reminded me of the jam that's inside a rainbow cookie. I had the hummus wrap (dietary restriction) which was so flavorful and the dressing and hummus inside were great. Last but not least, the pastry assortment which was garnished with a flower. My favorite was the cupcake which had a delicious frosting. This is the perfect place for a mother daughter date, a lunch out with your girlfriends, or even an event. I cannot wait to come back!

Came here for my birthday lunch with some family! It was such an enjoyable experience. The place itself was super cute. There were 4 of us so we got two of the high tea towers and I went with the apple cinnamon French toast tea. We each got a choice of scone then the rest was pre picked so my sister and I split an orange cranberry and cinnamon chip-they were both overcooked and hard. Then there was an assortment of sandwiches-the tuna and the cucumber ones stood out to me, I didn't love the salmon one as I found it too salty. There was also a great selection of desserts on top-macarons, strawberries, cupcakes, etc. It was a great variety and the price was not bad at all. Each time you get another tea you can switch the flavor also. You also get a choice of soup or salad to start. The soup of the day didn't sound good to me so I went with a Caesar salad. The service was not very attentive though.

Beautiful place. It is small , fyi. Great menu and lots of vegetarian options. I don't eat meat and was able to substitute the chicken salad for a different sandwich. Delish. You can get the British afternoon tea service for $45 with unlimited tea. It comes la with a salad or soup before they bring the 3 tiers plates with sandwiches, scone and desert plates. You can also order off the menu a la cart. Service was excellent. Easy parking.

Tea sandwiches and goat cheese salad were amazing. The quiche had everyone raving. Robinsons tea room made my daughter's at home bridal shower come to life. Desert trays and scones were top notch. Thank you

Tea Service at Robinson's Tea Room was a delight. It is quite pricey ($45 per person) but is an amazing experience, includes unlimited tea, and is plenty of food. The ambience is unbeatable and the staff were friendly. The Classic Caesar was light and fresh. The salad had a hearty crunch and the croutons had a unique assortment of spices that I enjoyed.

Absolutely loved it. Took my mother here for a nice afternoon Tea . She did the whole tea sandwiches. I did the chicken Caesar wrap. Everything was delicious. The crème brûlée tea was out of this world.

Such a fun and enjoyable tea experience! I made reservations (highly recommended!) for 11:30 which I thought was the perfect time! By the time we left at 1:30, the place was packed... every seat was taken! The place, although small was beautifully decorated and had both booths and tables to sit at. I enjoyed the touches of art work on the wall and the delicate china and silverware at the table. We had the choice of an ala carte menu or the afternoon tea menu for $45. The tea came with salad or soup. I chose a garden salad and it was very good. Then we were able to choose from a huge variety of unlimited tea-- decaf and black, green and herbal infusions. So many options!! And if yea isn't your thing, then you can get coffee! We were then brought a 3 tiered mountain of delicious treats and sandwiches. The top level was sweets, vanilla cake with frosting and jam and cream filling, brownies and macaroons. There was also panna cotta which wasn't my favorite. The second level was filled with savory items--- mini sandwiches-- cream cheese and cucumber, lox and dill, egg salad and tuna (which were not my favorite and I chose not to eat them after one bite). My favorite had to be the spinach and cheese quiche slice-- so delicious and hot from the oven! The bottom layer had 2 generously sized scones (you were able to choose your flavor), fresh raspberry jam and clotted cream. The waitstaff, although extremely lean was very nice and helpful. They did not kick us out and brought plenty of refills of tea-- I tried 6 different kinds! I cannot wait to go back and try this place again! I even brought and order of 6 scones home! I definitely recommend this place if you like traditional afternoon tea! You will not be sorry!

I really enjoyed this spot! It's a really cute British tea spot in the Stony Brook area. We ate outside and the waiter was very friendly and waited on us outside. The service was also pretty fast. I got the cinnamon scone with clotted cream and raspberry jam that I really enjoyed. The scones came in 3 other flavors. I also got the peppermint green tea they served to go which was great so we could leave when we were done eating. The tea selection is vast and I definitely plan on coming again to have that delicious scone again and try a different tea.

I have been looking for a place that serves afternoon tea like the tea service I had in London and I finally found it on Long Island. The afternoon tea service was presented beautifully. The only drawback that my mother complained of was the scone was too hard for her. My cinnamon scone was tender enough so I shared with her. The service was excellent. The ambience was cute and cozy. They managed to squeeze us in last minute and we were sitting by the bathroom which wasn't too bothersome. The sandwiches were moist and delicious. There was a good selection of pastries and the tea was hot, tasted and smelled divine. I would come back and try again if I was in the area.

Whether you're an ice cream enthusiast or just have a sweet tooth, Mickey's has something for everyone: traditional ice cream, cakes, hand made pies, premium pints, non-dairy options, and their famous ice cream sandwiches (yummm). There were so many flavors and treats to choose from that it took us a while to decide! I loved seeing the grab-and-go pints, such a great idea for busy families or for bringing dessert home. Before making my final choice, I sampled the cookie dough ice cream (which was rich and packed with doughy pieces), but I went with a scoop of Java Chunk in a cone with chocolate sprinkles. The flavor was spot on! A perfect blend of coffee and chocolate chips. My niece opted for her all-time favorite, cotton candy with rainbow sprinkles. The look on her face was pure joy. We took our treats outside and enjoyed them in the seating area, which was spacious and comfortable, perfect for relaxing on a sunny day and making the most of the beautiful weather. The site of ice cream came into my vision as soon as I walked into the shop. How heavenly everything looked! I really didn't know what to choose because everything looked sooooo good and yummy! I was standing in line forever, trying to decide, when my eyes suddenly landed on the most scrumptious, most marvelous, most extraordinary flavor. When this flavor came into my gaze, I almost started jumping with glee. "VANILLA!I" I almost screamed. I felt like I grew wings and flew high into the atmosphere. I couldn't wait to order. When I went up to the nice lady at the counter, I ordered a vanilla soft serve with gummy bears. The wait wasn't too long, which was just magnificent. I got my ice cream and ran to the out outdoor tables. The sun was just about to set so it was the perfect time to be outside. There were picnic tables with fairy lights and gravel, which I just loved. I felt so cozy. But now it was time to eat my ice cream. I opened the lid and took a gargantuan bite. My eyes wide and and my mouth opened very wide in awe. A little scream actually came out of my mouth. It was DELICIOUS!!! I wanted to scream and dance and singand leap onto a table, but I knew I couldn't make a fool out of myself. I felt like I reunited with my dog after eight years, that's how good it tasted. I was so happy I came to Mickey's ice cream kitchen. I started to text all my friends to come to Mickey's and that the place was just wonderful. Overall, I rate Mickey's a 1 million out of 10. I mean, the shop was amazing. All of my dreams have been fulfilled and now, all I can think about was that ice cream. I have to go back soon. I 100% do RECOMMEND.

It doesn't cause me to suddenly have intense feelings of love for where I grew up and the place I live on (not in), but I will say that the saying does make me thing of some pretty tasty dessert. Enter Strong Island Ice Cream and the couple of enjoyable trips my wife and I took here. Located in Nesconset (not too far from my Ronkonkoma abode), Strong Island is nestled into a strip of stores with nothing in the interior that makes it any more desirable than the average ice cream parlor...other than its ice cream. You see their ice cream is all fresh and homemade which you don't get everywhere (despite what you might think). You can tell there's a little bit of love put into most flavors and owner Paul holds this down when you come into order. He's a relatively friendly guy who seems to enjoy what he does. For me, my enjoyment comes from eating the ice cream! My wife and I have taken two trips here a few weeks apart and both times we ordered a couple different flavors in cups to go. When mentioning flavors, it is rather impressive to see the amount of options available. Nothing is overly exotic (you're not gonna find some banana peanut butter cookie dough here), but the choices are still pretty vast. Our first trip, I got two scoops (Nutella and chocolate peanut butter) with hot fudge while my wife did two scoops as well with cookie dough and rainbow cookie being her choices. Out of the four flavors, three were rockin' with Nutella having that hazelnut taste, chocolate PB getting nutty, and rainbow cookie fully delivering the cookie goods. As for cookie dough, it was missing the titled item within its flavor (which my wife hoped there would be plenty of doughy pieces, yet there were not). Second trip, the lady went with Nutella while I switched over to fruity in getting black raspberry which hit the spot in creamy/fruity flavor. Yum. Overall, Strong Island Ice Cream definitely has the power to be a legit dessert spot on the island that it identifies with. Maybe a few flavors aren't perfect, but most will hit the spot and so will your experience here. So whether you're a born and raised Islander or just looking for a scoop of what you scream and I scream and we all scream, Strong Island is worth the after dinner trip.

They don't take reservations. After about 10 minutes my friend and I plus 3 teens (my kids and a friend) were starving and Schnitzels was loud and crowded. We headed a few doors down to Sweet Mama's. Seated immediately. My friend and I shared the steak with penne dinner special and a Cobb salad with grilled chicken. My daughter ordered penne with butter off the kids menu. My son got a turkey burger and his friend got a grilled chicken sandwich on a hero instead of a wrap. Now the good -- portions were huge! My son could barely fit his burger in his mouth and it also had a half avocado on it. They didn't skimp. Steak with penne was delicious and so was the Cobb salad. We all shared off each other's plates because everything looked so amazing. Now the bad. My daughter's pasta was elbows, not penne as indicated on the menu. Not a catastrophe but she was looking forward to penne. Then - my son's friend put some ketchup on his plate for his fries. It was ,.. not red but brown. The bottle had an 8/25 expiration. We are in April 2026. We told the server and she said it's because it's the "simply ketchup" with no artificial dyes. She offered him ketchup packets "with fake dyes" but by that point he lost his appetite for fries. We grabbed ketchup from another table, same brand, Heinz Simply. You can see the difference in color. We showed the server and she acted annoyed. I told her we didn't want anyone getting sick on that ketchup and pointed out the expiration date. She rolled her eyes and said "oh I'll just throw it away." She kind of had an attitude and didn't even apologize. So that's why 4 stars. We'd go back but request not to have that server. The food is fantastic but watch your ketchup! If someone put it on a burger it would have been ruined.

We ordered a variety of things, from soup, to bennys and a mimosa flight. The mimosa flight was very cute but mine ended up tasting just like white wine. The real disappointment imo was the Belgian Waffle. Now I know, part of this is my fault, for expecting more than what the description laid out. But for $12 I got one crispy and tender waffle with powdered sugar and that was it. No side of fruit, no home fries, nothing. Everyone else enjoyed their food, which I was happy about! And service was wonderful. But for $12 for one waffle, this place may be a biiiiiiit overpriced for my liking.

I was so enticed by the whimsical, atypical flavors and the bright saturated colors. I finally ordered the 5 pack and chose these flavors: 'Cotton Candy', 'Strawberry Crumb', 'Chocolate Banana', 'American Dreamsicle' and 'Italian Rainbow Cookie'. I loved the way each donut was wrapped in plastic and placed so intentionally in its packaging - a sleek gold-colored box with a sticker bearing her logo (a 'C' for Chana that doubles as a donut with purple frosting on it and sprinkles). My boyfriend and I did a "tasting" together trying small ¼ pieces of each flavor. The 'Cotton Candy' (pink frosting with swirls of blue) had a subtle cotton candy flavor but was very sweet, the 'Strawberry Crumb' (bright red) was tart, delicious and one of my favorites. The 'Rainbow Italian Cookie' (covered in tiny green, red & white sprinkles) tasted just like the real cookie; so enjoyable with a pronounced almond flavor. The 'American Deamsicle' (covered in blue, red & white round sprinkles) tasted like orange and was pretty good. My absolute favorite was the 'Chocolate Banana' (a striking yellow with brown swirls), which had a more tolerable sweetness than the others. Overall, I enjoyed the donuts: the taste, the uniqueness and the colors. My only feedback is that I would like the donuts less sweet, so it is easier to eat a whole donut. I would rate Chana's Donuts 3.8 out of 5 stars, and I would definitely order again to try new flavors, or to get the 'Chocolate Banana' or 'Strawberry Crumb' flavors again :)

Cute, cozy, unique cafe in Selden. The staff there were…read morefriendly and helpful in explaining some Menu items. There is a QR code at the tables and they prefer you to order at your table, however we had questions and some items were not on the QR menu so we had to go to cashier and ask questions. There is lots of seating on the floor on cushions and mattresses, but there are also several chairs. When you enter you have to take your shoes off, which is not an issue, just wish they had a bench you could sit on to take off your shoes and put your shoes on afterwards, as that was difficult for me , as I didn't have slip ons. That's my only negative. Food was delicious . I tried a new beverage and the pistachio cake- both delish! It is located in a strip mall, so lots of parking. Prices reasonable

Tons of teas to pick from & some sweets as well. The young man working there was friendly. We placed our order & found a table. They do request you remove your shoes, hey I do it at home so no problem for me. I enjoyed a chai tea with rose & cardamom. It was very good, had a kind of floral light hot chocolate taste. I'm sure it's fun at night, I believe you can get teas for a group. If you want to try something different I suggest you try them!

Nice little bakery nestled by the train tracks in St James on Lake Avenue. The renovation really…read moreopened up the space and made the entrance more inviting. However it's hit or miss purchasing Kaiser rolls. It's amazing how quickly they "sell" out by 11am while there are plenty of plain and sesame seed rolls left to purchase. Additionally the size of the rolls had gotten smaller while the price keeps increasing now $1.00 a roll half the size of a roll from other bakeries and deli's. Apple turnovers are very good but again expensive ( flour going up I guess). Staff always friendly and welcoming but I wish someone would run numbers on roll sales so there'd be some Kaiser rolls left to purchase. Varied selection of cookies, pastries and pies and there's a coffee station for those needing a caffeine fix.

With an ideal location across the street from the St James train station, I can understand why doughnuts and muffins would be gone. Smart! We picked up eclairs, Napoleons, cream puffs and cannolis to go. The black and white cookie looked really good so we'll come back for that as I'm always on the hunt for the best. The cannoli is a small size and has a distinctive nutmeg flavor. I am not crazy about the green sprinkles though. Crunchy though. The eclair is filled with a custard and the chocolate was discolored. Not sure why. It was okay. I have had the Napoleon or cream puff yet so we will see how they hold up the next day. The store has a nice variety of goodies including decorated cakes, cookies and breads so please give them a try.
