First we were seated at a table that was sticky and gross! I had to ask for extra napkins because it was so sticky my hands were sticking to the table. The Waiter agreed and recleaned the table. Orders were placed. Took 40 mins for our food to come out. The other people in my party made modifications to their order and I ordered exactly as it was listed on the menu . After waiting for 40 minutes for the food, my order the unmodified one was completely wrong. We tried to tell the food runner, he ignored me and put the plate down. He walked away. We waved him back over and told him again this was not the order. He took it back and then went to speak to our waiter. He came over and said what happened? We explained this was not what I ordered. He then went and looked at something and then came back and said I will have them remake this. This whole process took long enough that my friends were already eating. 10 minutes later the food was still not out. I called the waiter back over and told him to just cancel it. He said the manager was coming and she came over a few minutes later with the food. I told her I didn't want the food I was too annoyed at that point to eat. She said take it home. What I had cannot be reheated. She said well I'll leave it here because I'm throwing it out either way. Crepes with fruit on top just don't reheat well! At the point that the manager finally came by to bring the food my friends were 90% done with their meals! Everytime I looked at this manager she was on her cell phone, talking, texting or staring at it. I went to the bathroom and came out of the stall and the manager was doing talk to text in the bathroom. Perhaps if she stayed off her phone orders wouldn't be getting screwed up or patrons would not be sat at dirty sticky tables! Her whole attitude and demeanor ruined our whole experience there. She truly didn't seem to care. My friends picked at my dish but I was too annoyed to eat. I have eaten at Toast in Patchogue and Bayshore and enjoyed both experiences on every occasion that I have been there. I have eaten at this Toast three different times and every time I have left disappointed by the service but this is by far the worst! For all that aggravation she took my meal off and that was it. I've been to the Toast Coffee House locations in Port Jefferson and Patchogue, and the new Ronkonkoma location was just as good. We visited on Mother's Day, so there was a wait, and it seemed like they were a little understaffed since there were empty tables where we were eventually seated. The food was excellent. I ordered the Eggs Benedict with home fries, and the home fries were honestly the highlight of the meal. I could have eaten a whole plate of them. The prices are a bit high, so it's more of a special occasion spot for me, but the quality makes it worth it. I also loved the interior, which has a nice mix of modern and farmhouse style. This place was incredibly yummy. We were from out of town and stumbled across this place. When we were in the uber, the driver said that was one of her regular spots, and now I know why. I started off with a French toast espresso martini which had baileys, vodka, and like a maple simple syrup, but it wasn't my favorite. However when the sleepy hollow pancakes came out, they were fantastic! It was like a pumpkin pancake with strudel and it was literally fall in a pancake. It was super fluffy and went perfect with the maple syrup. My friends also got some mimosas (strawberry lemonade and another got pineapple coconut) and they were both pretty good, I personally liked it more than the espresso martini. My group of five waited 1hour and a half to be seated after being told the wait time was 55 minutes. We checked in and hour after waiting and they told us it might still be 10 more minutes. After ten minutes we checked in again and they told us another 10 minutes. This is a great place is you have nowhere to be and nothing to do on a Sunday.Even the most amazing, busy restaurants , tiny spots know how to manage a large crowd. Parking is a bit tight and they make you pay to park in the store parking so you might be better off trying to park in the station lot and walking over. Service is friendly but seems a little disorganized, we were there on a sunday afternoon around 3pm (not busy at all) and we got entrees before we got our drinks. The avocado toast was good but a little salty, the home fries were the best thing we ordered. First impression makes a big impact. Walked in the door and the poster fell down from a gust of wind on a Sunday afternoon. I picked it up and put the poster on the tripod stand. Employees saw me do it, no acknowledgement or even a thank you. Waited a little while for the hostess to return so I can pick up my to go order and catch the train (watching the minutes go by). There wasn't any employees for me to ask. Now there are 2 other families waiting for the hostess. The hostess finally returns and directs me to the back for pickup. Thank you to the waitress who took my order and getting my food ready. I called in my order since I wasn't sure if there was enough time to make the food and drink. Hot Chocolate was delicious and fries were hot and crispy. Have to check this out again next time when I am not on a time schedule though mostly likely I will be again. We enjoyed our brunch at Toast this past weekend. The food was excellent and the restaurant was cute and spacious. We did have to wait about 35 minutes for our food to arrive once ordered. The waiter never came around to refill drinks, check to see how we liked our meal, or even if we got everything we ordered. Food: Turkey sausage (links) were meh... but honestly there is nothing exciting about turkey sausage. EGGS perfect. Toast perfect. Cheddar grits perfect. The Cookie Dough pancakes..... that mix with syrup..... sweet and lovely. A nice breakfast dessert. I loved seeing the manager move around and asking if everything was on. We went for brunch and we enjoyed our experience. Parking on the street if you are lucky enough to find a spot, if not you can pay for parking in garage, still within walking distance to restaurant. Busy establishment, but we had used their waiting list option. Open floor plan with booths and tables. We did notice they can put tables together for larger groups. We decided on Bloody Mary's for our beverages. One with Vodka and one with Tequila " Bloody Maria" both very good. I had the three Ring Circus. Eggs, pancakes and sausage. MJ had the blueberry French toast with Bacon, yummy. Service was good, our waitress made sure we had everything we needed. Toast at Station Yards in Ronkonkoma is worth a visit if looking for creative breakfast. The atmosphere was clean, inviting, and a comfortable place to sit down. Service was good overall--friendly and attentive. We ordered the carrot cake French toast, and it was honestly delicious. It leaned more toward dessert than breakfast--very rich, sweet, and a huge portion. Definitely something you could share, because finishing it solo is no small task. Also tried the bangers omelette, which was a bit of a mixed experience. The omelette itself was excellent--plenty of sausage, and the caramelized onions with Irish cheddar were a great combination. Really flavorful and well done. Came with homemade rye, awesome. That said, I wasn't happy with the home fries. I had asked for them to be well done, but they came out undercooked anyway. I did mention it to the server but nothing came of it, which was a little disappointing. The home fries also included a mix of what looked like russet and sweet potatoes--I'm not a fan of sweet potatoes at all! I wish that had been noted on the menu. On a positive note, the fresh-squeezed strawberry lemon mimosa carafe was very good, and at $28 it felt like a fair price. Kickin' things off here it seems with the first review for this new Ronkonkoma Toast spot! And there's no better way than to say we've got a five star review on our hands (made up of two recent visits). I mean they'd have to be ones that just happened because Toast has only been open a few weeks now, but it fits in perfectly amongst the needs of Station Yards. Being in said Yards, the interior of Toast takes a page from its neighbor ("This is the Train to Ronkonkoma") and has subtle nods to locomotives and the like. There's plenty of tables too with regular seating as well as booths. I sat in each type and both were enjoyable experiences. The same can be said for the staff with the trips having friendly and personable people to interact with. Though as always, you want the food to be enjoyably edible and that was definitely the case at Toast. Their menu is pretty vast with a full page of breakfast and one for lunch along with specials to be had as well. My coffee option on my first breakfast trip consisted of the Dubai chocolate shaken espresso which maybe wasn't as Dubai-ish as I had hoped, but it was still quite tasty. Pairing with that was the Huevos Migas omelet which had chorizo sausage, tomato, onion, green peppers, and jalapeño havarti cheese. Wow! I loved that the chorizo was crumbled in and with the zing of havarti that omelet was an instant winner. So were the home fries (they almost stole the show). On my more recent second trip, it was an afternoon meal and so I flipped the menu over and tried out the land of lunch options instead. All winners on this side starting with a blueberry lemonade which was perfectly sweet and tart followed by the Toast House Salad which had grilled chicken, sliced green apple, red onion, candied walnuts, and Gorgonzola. Dang was it a well-made salad with all the ingredients really chopped up and mixed together nicely. Quick shoutout to the thinly sliced chicken on top that was super tender. Yum yum yum. Overall, Toast at Station Yards has hit the ground running (or chugging if we want to go with a train pun). Their food is superb, they have a nice staff, and the interior is fun. I'll be back at Toast soon...real soon. It's just a hop and skip (no jump needed) away from my home which means it'll be easy to continue to get five star experiences. Can't wait! read more

The seating areas were comfortable and clean and it was easy to place our orders. The food was fun and flavorful. I would recommend coming here for breakfast or brunch. One thing that was a bit strange was when I entered the bathroom the lights came on as I walked in. After washing my hands and turning to head back to the table I noticed there was an individual in the other stall. This was strange because no one came in after I entered, so that means they had either been in there all night, or had been in there an extended period of time. So long that the motion lights went out. It was a bit disconcerting and made me feel a bit uncomfortable. Regardless of the bathroom experience, everything else was good and I would return. When we asked for a table for two, the staff member said to give them a minute and went to go help out at the coffee station... another staff member came up and asked if we were being helped and we said yes, that someone said to give them a minute. Very little nearby parking without needing to go into the garage which you can do on level 4 and 5 if you don't get lucky. Our wait time was 45 minutes when we walked in around 1PM on a Sunday so off peak with regards to the LIRR commuter crowd. Was told you can reserve ahead which I don't believe is a thing in PJ or at least not that we've been made aware of so we waited. Service when we finally sat was so slow...it took a while to get picked up by a server and then it was a solid 20 plus minutes for the carafe of mimosas to come and our waitress didn't even know what type of glasses to bring over. She admitted at one point that they don't seem to have a rhythm going. Was told when the bill came that there's a Toast app with coupons/offerings, earn points, etc. ...another thing we weren't aware of/had never been told in PJ. In the ladies room there are only a couple of stalls and the partitions weren't flush (gaps in between). The space itself is fresh and nicely decorated.
