Were there eggs? Idk, so many potatoes I did not detect any. As eggs, not potatoes, should be the focus, this was disappointing. I saw one or two pieces of sausage, a couple slices of green pepper - just look at the pic. If your idea of breakfast is a bunch of unseasoned taters with stuff on them, this is your dish. We asked some nice people where we should go for lunch, and they recommended Toast and Whiskey Neat. The Mommy chose Toast. It's a large, welcoming space. Soaring ceilings, lots of wood, and a full bar. Interesting, because they close at 3 pm. Very nice cocktail menu. We chose two different skillets from a quite extensive menu. The Mommy ordered a Garden something, and I had the Avocado. They were mixed up on delivery, so we inadvertently tried each other's. Both were delicious!! Portions are huge. Ordered through Uber Eats so I cannot speak for the customer service. I got the Domingo skillet which is " creole scrambled eggs, pulled pork, fresh guacamole and tortilla chips". I got it without the cheese, it's pretty good. The "guacamole" is just sliced up avocados and a very small amount compared to the size of the skillet. The pancakes were free with my order and they were okay, seemed a bit stale but I didn't pay for it so.. I would be willing to try this place out in person. read more

I had a nice Siracha Bloody Mary, with a Perfectly cooked grilled shrimp and bacon on it with a Lemon, celery and olives. Oh man. Heaven. Toast Coffeehouse is a tasty start to the tastebuds any day you have the time to really sit and enjoy their variety of offerings. When visiting on a weekend especially, definitely use their site to check out the wait and get on waitlist. Tried to see about calling in a reservation, but that is only for larger parties. This visit was to celebrate my best buddies birthday, so wait list 20 deep it was. Although if timed right it gives you time to drive there and really not wait too long. It also gives you the opportunity to mention that the waitlist reservation of sorts is for a special event. :) The location had that cozy, Coffeehouse feel. The two servers/runner we had that day were very attentive and always approached the table with smiles. There was only one small error on the beverage Mimosa flight, a duplication of one flavor, but they quickly brought the corrected one, to add to the mix. Also opted to try their fresh strawberry matcha iced tea, which was nice! Reminded me of a strawberry milk flavor as a kid vs being overly powered Matcha green tea, so balanced perfect. Since the portions are sizeable we decided to share/split two selections: Avocado toast app and the Krispy Nutella French Toast. They even brought out a small Funfetti pancake with a candle for the birthday girl. Both selections made/cooked perfectly and tasted fabulous. There is a lot to choose from so will have to go back again when in that area, or one of the other two locations on the island. I have been coming here with my family for quite some time, and we are always surprised by the quality of their classic and seasonal menu. Today we ordered the sausage and gravy Benedict and the fall trio French toast sampler. Personally I love egg Benedict, so the sausage and gravy Benedict was such an exciting twist on a classic breakfast option. The gravy was delicious and the sausage was very tasty. Also, the biscuit was very fresh! As for the French toast trio, we thought they were great. However, for my mom they were a bit too sweet for her breakfast palate. If you're going to order them keep in mind that it tastes like more of a dessert than a breakfast! Additionally, I ordered some crispy bacon to share and it was cooked to perfection! Lastly, the fresh squeezed orange juice was vibrant and a perfect breakfast drink. While there I noticed an extensive brunch drink menu. Sunday brunch here a Toast Patchogue was pretty good. This location is bigger than the Bay Shore one so seating our party of 10 was no problem. My brunch go-to entree most of the time is chicken and waffles so of course I ordered that but the Tennessee chicken and waffles - cinnamon sugared sweet potato waffle with spicy honey fried chicken. The waffle was really good, but that chicken was far from spicy. It just seemed like it was one big oversized chicken tender. I could have done without it. They seem to have a good selection of items on the menu so I wouldn't mind returning to to try some of my other favs. The drinks were good, no complaints there. The service - we seated right away which was nice, no wait since we did have a reservation. Our waitress was nice, but there was a lag in bringing out the food and wrapping things up with collecting the check. It just seemed that took longer than normal especially since by the time we were done eating and they brought the check it wasn't busy. But nonetheless it was enjoyable. read more

The wait wasn't bad, 30 minutes for my party of 5 on a Saturday morning. They have some sort of online waitlist on their website. I recommend doing that instead of just showing up. Overall the food was ok. I would stick to the general breakfast fare and not stray off into burgers like we did. We got smash burgers and they weren't really smashed and lacy; patties about the thickness of a McDonald's hamburger so it made them feel a bit cheap. The service was ok. Parking is OK - there's street but all meters; about $2 for 2 hrs which isn't so bad. The food isn't as good as the Toast at the one in Bay Shore. The gravy is more watery here so I didn't enjoy it. The French toast was not as good as well. Everything else was about the same. It does feel more spacious though inside rather than packed like the Bay Shore location. Upon when I sat down a waiter asked what I would like to drink since I was a few minutes late and everyone had already ordered their drinks. (I just stuck with water) About 10 minutes later a waiter came and took all of our orders. After 20 minutes our orders started coming out. I ordered a chicken caesar wrap and it was very delicious. And the fries were just the right crispiness. I would love to come back and try other things on the list. Some of this review is based on the last two visits to this location, since we were hoping there would've been an improvement in the service. Given that they don't take reservations, the waitlist feature is helpful - until you get to the restaurant and see the enormous amount of empty tables while there are 17 parties ahead of you on the list. It looks like something is being mismanaged somewhere. We opted to sit at the bar to avoid the wait and there were two seats available immediately. Once seated, we spent about five minutes staring at passing servers before getting up and getting our own menus. Another ten minutes went by before we were given place settings and an opportunity to order. We put everything in at once, and drinks came quickly enough. The wait for the food however, was ridiculous. Nearly an hour passed before our eggs ( that take MAYBE 10 minutes to cook) left the kitchen, and in that time we had no other choice but to "enjoy" a front row seat to the staff drama of the morning. Someone who appeared to be a manager stormed behind the bar, cursing and complaining about the egregious order at one of her tables; and another staff member came storming out of the kitchen rolling her eyes to the other servers saying "it is NOT good". Staff needs to remember that the bar is a full service area and paying customers don't want to hear or watch your social nonsense. I also don't want to observe them talking negatively about other tables - it's incredibly unprofessional. The food is okay. Menu hasn't changed in quite some time and there's a few classic favorites, but the hearty vegetables thrown into everything is getting a bit overdone. We've seen sweet potato hash browns and corned beef hash with Brussels mixed in - what else can you do? The decor was once cute and kitschy but the clutter now looks dusty and maple syrup sticky. Drinks are consistently good and menu basics are as well. Service needs an overhaul: could be much faster and staff needs to be a bit more professional when in front of customers. We'll probably return, but it's not worth the hour-long wait you're looking at if you don't want to sit at the soap opera bar. read more

I feel like since the port Jefferson location expanded. The food is just okay. The restaurant itself is beautiful. The wait is always ridiculously long and even to sit at the breakfast bar. You have to lurk and it's pretty annoying, but I get it first come first serve, but there isn't an even number of chairs at the breakfast bar which is annoying. Anyway, we sat at the breakfast bar and the service was just okay. I ordered The Biscuit and Gravy dish which consist of Two organic poached eggs served with homemade biscuits and sausage gravy. I didn't want egg but was told it came with it, so I opted to have a scramble egg instead of poached eggs, well I guess I read the menu wrong because the eggs were on top of the biscuit and gravy. I thought it would be served on the side not on top off and it just made the meal not enjoyable at all.The home fries were perfect. I also ordered it with a side of well done bacon and unfortunately we never received the bacon but was still on our bill which we paid for. It wasn't overly sweet which I was surprised by but happy as I don't like super sweet beverages. My boyfriend decided on a double espresso. For my meal I had Miss Lucy's Tortilla Skillet. It consisted of Creole-style scrambled eggs, sausage, potato, green onion, melted cheddar, corn tortilla & sour cream over home fries. It was so delicious and filling. I was only able to eat half of it. For my boyfriends meal he ordered Tennessee chicken and waffles. It was a Cinnamon sugar sweet potato waffle with spicy honey fried chicken, roasted red pepper & green onion. He enjoyed it. I had a bite and it was so good! All the flavors were great. It came with a cinnamon butter. We also ordered a side of sausage. It came out right away and before our entrees. Our waitress, Rainna, apologized and said that she would send another order out with our food. We told her it wasn't necessary but she insisted. She was great! Service was quick and friendly and we were never rushed. We ordered the French toast and the eggs Benedict, both of which were delicious and a good portion size for the respectable price. Food ok especially if you don't mind cold pancakes, home fries without onions , can use the 2nd un drank water on table, can get needed napkins and ask manager for the check. What did I miss? A genuine mistake- I missed the correct total on bill leaving $$ on table after it had no been picked up . Waitress came outside and showed me that I had shorted the amount. Another fabulous breakfast at Toast in Patchoque. We were seated promptly and ordered our beverages (coffee) in large oversized funky mugs served with ample cream.( hate having to beg for more). I ordered the banana cream French toast. OmG, puked high with whipped cream, filled with banana custard and fresh bananas and sprinkled with graham cracker bits. The dish came with a choice of breakfast meat(bacon of course). So delicious, My husband ordered the apple pie crepe loaded with cinnamon apples. He managed to clean his plate.
