Service: 10/10 our waitress was unbelievably nice and very attentive! Food: 9/10 I loved my meal. I was very impressed with the portion size of the mussels, especially for an app. Salmon was cooked perfectly, the dill sauce was delicious. My husband had chicken pot pie (not pictured) and he loved it. My martini was yummy also. We took our desserts to-go because we were stuffed. We came for restaurant week and I was pleasantly surprised with the menu they put out; I've found restaurants limit their menu (most often, too limited imo) for restaurant week. We will definitely return to order off the regular menu.

Disappointed . We arrived at 7for our res hostess said it would be a 1/2 hr or so wait they're really busy. I say we have a res for 7 her reply while laughing we can't do that. We don't have that table for you I said OK I understood it was restaurant week we stood in doorway waiting. 7.35 sat at table 15 minutes later waitress shows up not very pleasant got our food around 8.20 Food was OK but I was hungry so ate it. check my phone there an email from OpenTable about me being a no-show for my reservation. The hostess was nearby and I asked why she said I was a no show she said who cares and was very dismissive and when I explained that it goes against me, she came up with a Story about the tables being split, and open table doesn't allow you to split tables. the waitress asked was everything OK and I said I tried to find out why your staff member said I didn't show up for my reservation. I tried explaining that it goes against you when you're no call no shows on OpenTable. The person sitting next to me had overheard the conversation and chimed in saying it happened to her I was a no call no show and I was banned off OpenTable so really you should have your staff member correct that.she did say she would talk to the hostess about it. I got my dessert. My husband did not get his dessert. We got the special and Bill was placed on the side of the table. I was told she had to spend 20 minutes on the phone with OpenTable trying to sort this out with a lot of attitude at no point did a manager come over and apologize did they make any compensation for their complete mess up and how they treated us.I usually don't write reviews negatively because I understand that there could be a lot of things going on a lot of times I just forget to write reviews, but I do go to a different restaurant every week so I have a ton of eating out experience.spent 1am to 6 am throwing up

Eh, it really wasn't that good. I enjoy going out for restaurant week. It gives me an opportunity to try new restaurants and their offerings. My friend and I decided to check this place out. For our first course I ordered the lobster and crab bisque. I found it to be very salty! There were generous pieces of crab and lobster but it was still too salty. For my entree I chose the salmon with the dill sauce. It came with mashed potatoes and veggies. It was flavorful, but again salty. Hours later and I'm still downing water because I'm parched. Dessert I ordered apple cake. It was just okay. Service wasn't that great either. Our waitress didn't write anything down when we ordered and had to come back to ask again what was ordered. She didn't come back throughout the meal and getting water refills was a huge challenge. We were also charged a fee for using a credit card. This wasn't posted anywhere nor was it mentioned by our waitress. I don't recommend this place at all.

Ritz Cafe is a lovely restaurant overlooking Northport harbor and Cow harbor park. I would say it has a classy casual touch frequented by many middle aged locals. We were warmly welcomed and felt very comfortable. It's been about 4 years since we ate dinner here and I remember having an enjoyable time. We came on a Sunday evening and were very lucky to be seated at the last table for two that was at the window. I will warn you that the seats by the window are very tight and you will get a bump or two but watching the sun set tonight was worth it. Immediately scored points with us by serving bread ( unfortunately not warm), roasted garlic, dipping oil and butter. Nice touch. Cocktails were delivered and they were made to perfection. My favorite still is the pear martini, bartender is awesome! We started with the Ceasar salad for two which was fresh, tasty and perfect portion size to share. When our meals arrived they were served pipping hot, that is a big deal to me! Thank you. My talipia piccata was loaded with flavor and a generous serving. My husband felt the same about his skirt steak. We really love the mash potatoes too. Thank you very much to the Ritz staff, because of all your efforts we had a perfect meal. After dinner we took a stroll in the safe beautiful park admiring the water and boats. The sunset was amazing. Looking forward to returning.

Nice neighborhood hangout at 11 am on a Sunday morning when we were starving and trying to impress my daughter who was visiting from NYC. I had the sesame crusted ahi tuna without the bun or wasabi sauce. I'm a healthy freak. Daughter had the eggs with salmon and buffed bf had the poached eggs with hollandaise sauce on the side. I'm rubbing off on him after 7 years. Lol Service was good and prices were reasonable considering he paid. Lol. I probably would come here all the time if I lived in Northport. Yelp was down for a few hours this morning or I would have checked in and written this review earlier. At least I took 3 food pix! Do I get a prize?

The service was great. Came in for Father's Day and the waitress was very pleasing. Explained everything and was very fresh and good. I got steak and mash potatoes topped with onion rings that was delicious. Ate the whole thing!

While I don't always expect an overly cheerful greeting, the service was very plain and lacked a smile. Even when I mentioned it was my first time, the staff seemed indifferent. I ordered an egg and cheddar cheese biscuit and a small coffee with sugar-free French vanilla and almond milk, which came to $15. I also picked up two mini pies for $14. The breakfast sandwich was okay, but for the price, I expected more cheese and a bit more flavor. However, the mini pastries were absolutely delicious! I would 100% come back just for those. The store itself was very clean.

The mint green tables outside and the bright red flowers, umbrella, and storefront created a perfect, aesthetically pleasing contrast. The best part about this cafe was the food! I was really satisfied with their panini consisting of ham and mozzarella pressed onto ciabatta bread. A combination of melted cheese, smooth and buttery, with the crunch of the ciabatta made for a delicious meal! Even though the panini sandwich was a bit pricey and took a bit long to make, I would have forgiven these points unless it wasn't for the slightly poor service and the low morale. Even though my boyfriend ordered for both of us and was ready to pay, with me present, the staff member thought our order was one I had made on my own as a completely separate customer. We ended up waiting more time than he had to because of this mistake. It's not a huge deal, but this interaction makes me wary of coming back as I would prefer a smoother customer service experience.
