While I don't always expect an overly cheerful greeting, the service was very plain and lacked a smile. Even when I mentioned it was my first time, the staff seemed indifferent. I ordered an egg and cheddar cheese biscuit and a small coffee with sugar-free French vanilla and almond milk, which came to $15. I also picked up two mini pies for $14. I honestly only come here for the vibes. It's a cute farm on Long Island with outdoor seating and adorable animals to see -- not many places like it. The farm area was cute but the food was very mid. We had chicken fingers which while the chicken was moist the coating had a slightly sweet taste that we didn't enjoy. The grilled cheese sandwich was just a dime store white bread w a slice of American cheese, very unoriginal and pretty bland. Tomato soup was pretty good, a bit different almost like a bisque. And we picked up a couple of their biscuits which were also pretty boring and nothing special. Inside was very busy, loud, lots of families. It's a very busy place and you can park across the street if there isn't any parking available in the lot. The staff is friendly, the indoor seating is very clean but it is limited. Anyways, I ordered an egg cup with avocado and ham and it was delicious! It was well seasoned, warm, and just the perfect size. Their coffee was really good as well. They sell other food items which I haven't tried yet. You can order your food and head out to the back and sit with the chickens that are running around. There is so much to love about Kerber's Farm Provisions. What we originally came out here for is their biscuit egg sandwiches. If you had to come for one thing this is it. The biscuits are massive. They come in regular and gluten free options. I got the sausage egg and cheese on a biscuit and it was delicious. The fully a flakey biscuit and the sausage patty were tasty. There are plenty of other offerings from quiches, hand pies, scones and pies that come in small and large sizes. I love that they do give an option for small and large sizes, so if you just want a mini indulgence for the day, you are not obligated to buy an entire pie. We tired the Kerber Berry and the coconut cream pies. During holidays they have preorder available online to place an order for pick up. They have indoor and outdoor dining spaces. Outside has access to the restrooms. During the warmer months I recommend checking out the back to see the farm animals which is fun for both kids and adults. It's a cute place with indoor and outdoor seating. I got the chicken pie pocket that was pretty good. My mom got the spinach pie, which was cold, not even lukewarm when we got it. I got a large apple cider which wasn't very sweet and almost tasted like it went bad. By 1pm they were already sold out of many of their full sized pies. I got a cherry, blueberry, and apple mini pie. The blueberry I was told tasted good. The cherry was good but the bottom was completely stuck to the pan. The apple was okay but it didn't have much apple and the crust was so thick it didn't even taste right. Outside, they have some animals including bunnies, chickens, pigs, a sheep, a goat, and some ducks. It was sad to see the pigs so overweight where they struggled to even stand. Their pen was just mud. They also do not have feed or anything for you to feed the animals. The garbage can was also over flowed while we were there. Garbage was all over the place in general. Super cute little shop makes you feel like you're in a country store when you walk in. There's seating inside as well as outside in their garden/farm. Outside you'll be amongst the chickens, Two pigs and a goat. Very family friendly. The service can get a little backed up if you come in during a rush but they are really nice about it and working hard to get everyone's order done. Food is so fresh and flavorful. We had the pulled pork pocket which was filled to the brim with soft pork. Also tried the egg cup #2 which was made with farm fresh eggs, avocado and vegetables. I ordered two eggs, bacon and cheddar on a biscuit (their biscuit is cheddar too btw) and an iced coffee. I wanted to get a cappuccino but their milk options were limited and not to my liking. My fiance got a sausage egg and cheese on a biscuit and a hot coffee. We also opted to try an apple cider donut. Our total was $39. While I think we can all agree based on the photos that the food LOOKED incredible, it tasted as us New Yorkers affectionately say, "mid". The biscuit lacked flavor and overall the sandwich was nothing to write home about. That brings me to one really important part of this place, the atmosphere. While it was cute inside, it was ABSOLUTELY FREEZING. There was NO HEAT whatsoever. We actually went back to the car to get our coats and gloves after realizing the climate was that of a garage in the middle of the winter. Seriously, I don't even know if it's legal to have patrons and employees sitting and standing in the freezing cold. It was so cold in there that the apple cider donut tasted refrigerated and was a big miss. I feel like if the donut was warmed or even a normal room temperature, it would've been decent but the texture and temperature ruined it. I have come here a bunch since moving to Huntington and tried my best to support this small business, but I'm getting really tired of the customer service at this establishment. There's nothing charming about the animals and overpriced food if you're going to be served by rude workers. Every time I come here they rush you when ordering even though there's no one behind you. Any questions you ask about the food items they either don't know or act like you're a burden for holding up the line. I ask for suggestions and they literally say "I don't know is this all you want". If you order a warm breakfast item before 10 they decline heating it up for you for some reason. They don't even have a welcoming tone or smile on their face. Why are these people so miserable? Being "busy" is not an excuse for lackluster service. Additionally they have changed up their vegan options over the years and it's now more limited for people with dietary restrictions like myself.
