Happy!
Christopher C.

Great produce, always super fresh and the fruits here are amazing. A little on the pricey side but you get what you pay for. Simple equation- Buy apples, oranges and grapes that taste like shit from grocery store, pay less for them, neglect to eat them because lack of flavor and even though you are on that high fiber diet you still don't eat them and they go in the trash... = Lost $$$$ Go to a place like this once in a while and actually eat what you bought and not watch the banana's turn black on the counter, like I did last week....= Savings! Parking in front lot is a nice thing too.

Wonderful scallions

Kerber's Farm in Huntington is one of those rare places that instantly makes you feel grounded,…read morecalm, and genuinely happy to be there. From the moment you arrive, you can tell this is not just a farm stand -- it's a Long Island institution with heart, history, and soul. The atmosphere is peaceful and inviting, especially compared to the rush of everyday life. Whether you come on a quiet weekday or a busy weekend, there's something comforting about walking through the grounds, seeing families, kids, couples, and longtime locals all enjoying the space. It feels wholesome in the best possible way. The produce and baked goods are where Kerber's truly shines. Everything feels fresh, thoughtfully sourced, and seasonal. Their fruits and vegetables are vibrant and full of flavor, and the baked goods smell incredible the moment you walk inside. The pies are legendary for a reason -- flaky crusts, generous fillings, and that homemade taste that's hard to find these days. Apple pie, crumb pie, pumpkin pie -- you really can't go wrong. Their donuts and breads are also standouts, perfect with a cup of coffee. Speaking of food, the prepared items and snacks are another highlight. Whether it's sandwiches, cider, or small treats, everything feels made with care rather than mass-produced. It's the kind of place where you end up buying more than you planned because everything looks (and tastes) so good. What makes Kerber's Farm especially special is the experience, not just the products. Kids love seeing the animals, parents appreciate the open space, and everyone seems to slow down just a little while they're there. It's a wonderful spot for a family outing, a relaxed afternoon stop, or even just a quick visit that turns into a longer stay because you don't want to leave. The staff has always been friendly and helpful in my experience. Even when it's busy, they remain patient and welcoming, which adds to the overall charm of the place. You can tell people take pride in working there. Kerber's Farm isn't trying to be flashy or overly modern -- and that's exactly why it works. It's authentic, comforting, and deeply rooted in the community. Whether you're coming for fresh produce, famous pies, or just a peaceful break from the day, Kerber's delivers every single time. If you're on Long Island and haven't been yet, this place is absolutely worth the visit. And if you have been before, you already know -- Kerber's Farm is the kind of place you keep coming back to. While I don't always expect an overly cheerful greeting, the service was very plain and lacked a smile. Even when I mentioned it was my first time, the staff seemed indifferent. I ordered an egg and cheddar cheese biscuit and a small coffee with sugar-free French vanilla and almond milk, which came to $15. I also picked up two mini pies for $14. The breakfast sandwich was okay, but for the price, I expected more cheese and a bit more flavor. However, the mini pastries were absolutely delicious! I would 100% come back just for those. The store itself was very clean.

I've been meeting managers staff butchers at ShopRite and they're all outstanding. Very helpful finding stuff and if they don't have it I asked one of the managers Ryan two days later it was on the shelf . Anthony the other manager unfortunately is in Commack really really nice people he got me something about a week later on the shelf. The butchers Angel and Loui. Phenomenal. I glanced in the window and I saw Angel cutting a piece of meat I'm telling you it was look like he was dancing like the salsa.. slicing that cut of beef you could tell he was a real pro he is. the way he was cutting that meat I wish I had video the window in the butcher shop. Have I got his name I went to a yard sale and this girl was telling me about this guy Angel she left another butcher shop just to come to him. Good job Angel you're giving yourself a reputation!. Your soups as you walk in the door are not bad a little too much salt. Prices are reasonable. My phone broke so I can't upload any pictures except for the ones I just had taken.

While I didn't find the prices much different than the local competitor, I was impressed with the layout of the store as well as the well organized shelves. Newer lightweight shopping carts were nice and quiet. When I approached the line to pay- there were two registers open- the manager saw that the lines were four people deep and called to have another one opened. I really appreciate that level of customer service.

The Crushed Olive is a small chain of gourmet olive oil and vinegar shops that opened in Hickory,…read moreNorth Carolina in 2010. It was founded by husband and wife Bob and Mona Rossero. Bob had owned the Colony Lounge in Huntington Station, New York for 30 years. He and his wife Mona (a former medical transcriber) then retired to North Carolina. On a trip to Northern California, the two discovered a shop that sold infused olive oils and vinegars. They decided to bring the concept to North Carolina and opened their first location there in 2010. A year later, they opened a flagship store in Huntington, New York and more locations would open throughout Long Island in the following years. In 2013, the Rosseros sold off their original Hickory location in order to concentrate on their Long Island locations. Each location offers more than two dozen varieties of flavor-infused olive oils and balsamic vinegars. Today the small chain has five locations in Huntington, Babylon, Sayville, Stony Brook, and Commack. My wife and I visited the Crushed Olive's Port Jefferson location (now closed) in October 2018. We were celebrating our first wedding anniversary on Long Island with a private limousine tour of the North Fork Wine Trail. We discovered the Crushed Olive while exploring all of the quaint shops in Port Jefferson. All of the various oils and vinegars are stored in gleaming stainless steel containers with taps called "fustis". Customers are encouraged to sample the oils and vinegars with cubes of fresh Italian bread from a local baker. Some of our favorite olive oils we sampled included the Blood Orange, Eureka Lemon, Olive Wood Smoked, and Tuscan Herb. Some of the balsamic vinegars we enjoyed included the Black Cherry, Dark Chocolate, Fig, and Pomegranate. We purchased some small bottles to take home. We have since ordered other bottles online and had them shipped to our house, including their 18 Year Traditional Balsamic Vinegar that is aged in oak barrels in Modena, Italy for 18 years. We will continue to order more delicious oils and vinegars from the Crushed Olive for years to come!
