Delicious apples and freshly-squeezed apple juice!
Gerald M.

As a home-brewer, I needed several gallons of fresh, unpasteurized, cold-pressed apple-juice. Research pointed me to Richter's. The proprietor, and his staff, were both helpful and knowledgeable on any and all fruit, and, as we chatted, we could see many families on their out to enjoy the grounds, as well as those, bags full, faces smiling, getting into their cars. I dropped off my 'carboys' on Wednesday and the following morning I received a notification phone-call. The carboys were, literally, filled to the brim! The quality of the apple-juice was top notch and I've already begun the process of making the 'hard' cider. I also bought several 'pecks' of the apples, (that are on display as you enter), to bring home and munch!

Richter's Orchard is our go to store for fresh apples and cider plus. If you feel stressed out, drive down the driveway and gaze at the bucolic vista of fruit bearing trees. Your blood pressure will dip, and peace and quiet will return. Stopped because the Macouns are in. "Its very firm flesh is juicy and snow white, tasting sweet with a hint of berry." Refrigerate them to keep fresh longer. A half a peck is $13.25, and you can select your own.

Cutest Welsh Corgi named Grommet outside wearing the cutest jacket happy to greet customers. Beautiful farm off the main road. Nice variety of apples but you can't pick them off the trees which is what we wanted to do. We bought a dozen for $8 and I even ate one and didn't have an allergic reaction for the first time in years! We bought some jams and I'm excited to try them on my gluten free bread!! Grommet the Corgi was worth the trip out to Northport!!

Warm friendly local Lng Island apple farm. True to the Islands roots. Old world experience. If your v looking for glam, up to date, latest technology etc.... not 4 u. If you treasure/value an experience the was the way it used to be ... this is rhe best family, friend, girls day out. Bring cheese, wine, snacks and turn off phones and spend quality time on the property. A day well spent without noise, interruptions and memories made. Enjoy

You can't pick apples at Richters Orchard. But I told them that I know Robert Richter personally, so.....

The best apples, apple selection and apple cider in Suffolk County. Friendly family owned business which is always a pleasure to visit.

There is NO APPLE PICKING at Richter's Orchard. They only have a store where you can buy apples and their own pressed apple cider.

From the moment you arrive, you can tell this is not just a farm stand -- it's a Long Island institution with heart, history, and soul. The atmosphere is peaceful and inviting, especially compared to the rush of everyday life. Whether you come on a quiet weekday or a busy weekend, there's something comforting about walking through the grounds, seeing families, kids, couples, and longtime locals all enjoying the space. It feels wholesome in the best possible way. The produce and baked goods are where Kerber's truly shines. Everything feels fresh, thoughtfully sourced, and seasonal. Their fruits and vegetables are vibrant and full of flavor, and the baked goods smell incredible the moment you walk inside. The pies are legendary for a reason -- flaky crusts, generous fillings, and that homemade taste that's hard to find these days. Apple pie, crumb pie, pumpkin pie -- you really can't go wrong. Their donuts and breads are also standouts, perfect with a cup of coffee. Speaking of food, the prepared items and snacks are another highlight. While I don't always expect an overly cheerful greeting, the service was very plain and lacked a smile. Even when I mentioned it was my first time, the staff seemed indifferent. I ordered an egg and cheddar cheese biscuit and a small coffee with sugar-free French vanilla and almond milk, which came to $15. I also picked up two mini pies for $14. The breakfast sandwich was okay, but for the price, I expected more cheese and a bit more flavor. However, the mini pastries were absolutely delicious! I would 100% come back just for those. The store itself was very clean.

The mint green tables outside and the bright red flowers, umbrella, and storefront created a perfect, aesthetically pleasing contrast. The best part about this cafe was the food! I was really satisfied with their panini consisting of ham and mozzarella pressed onto ciabatta bread. A combination of melted cheese, smooth and buttery, with the crunch of the ciabatta made for a delicious meal! Even though the panini sandwich was a bit pricey and took a bit long to make, I would have forgiven these points unless it wasn't for the slightly poor service and the low morale. Even though my boyfriend ordered for both of us and was ready to pay, with me present, the staff member thought our order was one I had made on my own as a completely separate customer. We ended up waiting more time than he had to because of this mistake. It's not a huge deal, but this interaction makes me wary of coming back as I would prefer a smoother customer service experience.
