What a great little spot. It feels very small in the best way. It gives off hidden gem feels and I love that. The drinks were really good, but the food was great! The bread and little plate of antipasto was a nice way to start. We ordered the short rib ragu with homemade cavatelli and cace e Pepe. I loved the cavatelli. I'm craving it just thinking about it. It was full of flavor and the short rib was so tender. The pasta was cooked perfectly. The Cace e Pepe had too much pepper for my liking, but my husband and two year old loved it. I'm looking forward to going back soon.

Really fantastic spot and glad we came here! Tucked just outside of Huntington's Main Street, Cefalu serves quality Italian food with a nice (and affordable) wine list - just need to ask for it. The list of cocktails seems pretty classic and you can't go wrong with any of the selections The restaurant was pretty busy during prime dinner on Saturday but I think you can still walk in. The smell of the pizza by the slice right when you walk in is intoxicating and you know you're in for a treat. We got: Cacio e Pepe bites - pretty good with a nice sauce. I could recommend but not a must-have Fungo pizza - really amazing and balanced with the truffle oil Margarita pizza - solid pizza, the sauce is on the slightly sweeter side. Both pizzas had a nicely made dough on them Vodka sauce pasta w/ burrata - so good and would recommend. A very good vodka sauce Clam pasta - also very good with decent number of clams Tiramisu - not that sweet and perfect with the whipped cream. Really delicious tiramisu Crème Brûlée - also very good Service here is attentive and I'm a fan!

So since my last review I've come here a dozen more times for the wonderful happy hour. Today after a hard day at work I stopped in for happy hour and to my surprise I was told Joe discontinued it a few weeks ago, WTF?!!! Happy hour is still listed on the restaurant website I guess it did not matter because I had to pay full price Sorry Cefalu I need to find another happy hour location

Sword Fish, over cooked.

We visited Cefalu as a recommendation for a family get together. I have only been once prior to Cefalu for a slice of pizza while I was on the run. Cefalu is located on top of a hill as you approach from west to east. They have indoor and outdoor dining with an airy appeal even if you are dining indoors. From what I read, Cefalu menu is inspired by the beloved culinary traditions of Sicily. Sicily is a place I have been twice, and I love dining in the Sicilian cuisine. Sicilian cuisine is known for using locally sourced ingredients, such as fresh seafood, vegetables, and citrus fruits. I once dined in Trapani and had their pasta with sword fish. It was to die for. The service was excellent, and our family get together could not have been any more perfect. We ordered appetizers to share with the group which were good. I was staying away from pasta at the time, so I ordered the sword fish as an entrée. That was disappointing, and a poor choice by me. The sword fish was not up to par. My photo of the dish is on Yelp. However, I am not intending to judge a restaurant by one dish I was not impressed with. I look forward to visiting the restaurant soon and venture into their other menu items.

First time here, ambiance is cozy and welcoming Food excellent with a nice variety Great neighborhood spot

Stopped by the give them a chance cause we did love the old location - but they rebranded and I saw some good things via Google, Yelp... well we LOVED the food! The baked clams are a MUST. Our 12 little necks, were absolutely superb. Didn't have to add lemon the flavor was ON POINT! Then for our mains we had the Spicy Rigatoni vodka with Burrata which was really delicious and not too heavy surprisingly. I had a Caesar salad with blackened chicken probably one of the best EVER. Dressing, cheese, and those croutons all tasted perfect together, and it had kale so I felt like I was eating healthy . Service was very kind and helpful- and even though they didn't have printed lunch menus at the time we dined we still ordered from the lunch menu (from their website) and got the lunch prices. What I would like them to work on. The interior is still in need of sprucing up. I enjoyed the abstract art inside, but the walls do need a fresh coat of paint maybe something bold, but the concept inside needs an identity. At least the place is casual and not over priced and not pretentious like the places in the Huntington village. Front Patio is lovely and is well decorated. Once again great food, nice staff, and lovely location, just need a little love inside.

As previous reviews mention, the inside is decorated to look like you're on a patio in Tuscany. It's deceptively large inside, and we sat all the way at the back around the corner. The waitstaff were very efficient and pleasant, giving my boyfriend and I time to look over the menu but coming soon after we'd set them down on the table. After some complimentary bread and very tasty garlic knots, we started with one of their appetizer specials to share, and were very pleased with it. It had fresh grilled Italian sausage served over garlicky cannellini beans and broccolini. Everything was balanced and well prepared. For our dinner we both got pasta; I got the butternut squash agnolotti (de zucca) with butter and sage, and he got the ricotta cavatelli bolognese. The bolognese was delicious, but I felt like the squash agnolotti needed something else to make it a proper dinner. The filling is just squash puree, no cheese, and the melted butter sauce is very very decadent. I would get something a bit more filling next time, but other than that I enjoyed my meal and our experience!

I remembered the restaurant so fondly and I've always wanted to go back since I moved out of LI. This weekend when I was visiting with my husband, I wanted to take him there because of how great it was the first time we went. We were able to grab a reservation for four people at 4 PM (which is pretty tough otherwise). Our server was nice and drinks were good but it didn't feel like that elevated experience that I once had here. The most disappointing part was that all of the food lacked so much flavor. We ordered the frito misto, the taglioni? (Pecorino cake style appetizer), salad, pappardelle, NY strip steak, roasted chicken. I felt like everything but the taglioni and salad lacked so much flavor and depth. I recall enjoying their food and having such an extraordinary experience the first time around, and this just felt like really basic food at a premium price point. I'm hoping it's a one off thing based off of circumstances outside their control, but I don't think I'd be going back anytime soon

We got the butternut squash which sounded very fancy on the menu but was just butternut squash with a piece of fried prosciutto stuck in each portion on top of cacio e pepe sauce which by the way was broken. We also got what we thought was going to be artichokes on a bed of arugula but was mostly arugula with a few small pieces of artichoke and some pistachios. It was bland, definitely needed some vinegar or lemon or something. Not worth the price, I could have thrown that together myself at home. We also had the spinach/pear salad. Again, I could have made that at home. I got the lemon shrimp linguine. I liked the pasta, I liked the sauce, I did not like the shrimp that came with it. They were tiny and maybe boiled, just not great. We also had the ravioli. One big extremely dense ravioli, raviolo or whatever a singular one is technically called. It was ok but so dense and rich. We also had the bolognese. Not the best. For the prices we paid we expected greatness. We each had dessert. So for the 3 of us the bill came to almost $300 with tip. I personally felt like the service did not warrant the tip but we left it anyway. We weren't checked on, we had to wait a long time to get the bill and we paid by phone app. The service wasn't great. I think the best part of the entire night was the little bucket of candy that we got with the check. The gummy butterfly was delicious! No, we won't be back.

Getting the last table in the rear gave us relief from the chaos of young diners by the bar and was a cozy nook. Our server was gracious and brought us a fine bottle of Barbera da Alba , as well as a bread basket and an array of olives. The breadbasket had wonderful unique bread sticks and a nice flat cracker, however the bread seemed to be an oily, mealy, whole wheat perhaps, which was a disappointment. Places can't go wrong with a good crusty Italian bread, plain and simple, but i'm finding that a rare occasion instead replaced with bad rolls or greasy prepared sub bar bread. But we were not prejudging and looked forward to our primi piatte. My wife an I opted to split the arugula and parmesan salad, although we were tempted with the gorgonzola salad; not to be too critical, but a ceaser on the menu wouldn't have been bad. But the arugula was delish and the plate a decent size to split. We followed that with the linguine nera, black squid ink with cuttlefish; It was rich and the pasta had the right amount of bite and made for a great dish. That nice piece of bread would've been welcome to scarpe the bowl! Our friend got the gnocchi, with a braised short rib, which seemed to be enjoyed, but not raved over, unlike our black pasta. Another got the veal scaloppine which received similar meh reviews. We on the other had split the pulpo with veggies and Spanish spices and enjoyed the slightly charred and tender 8 armed mollusk. Overall, all the plates looked wonderful, were abundant and made us reminicrent of times in Italy with the hung Italian ads and pics. Sufficiently sated, we had decaf coffees, a cappucino and an espresso, no desserts, but the decaffs however had a strange appearance, seemingly watery, but was hot and did the trick, as did the surprise bowl of sour gummies to close out the meal. Eduardos was far from your run of the mill red sauce joint, which was appreciated and enjoyed.
