    Lobster and shrimp scampi special

Sal D's is great! Been around for quite some time and always get a good meal here. If you're looking for a good red sauce joint with great specials this is the place. Not pretentious at all!

I was pleasantly surprised. Growing up in an Italian family from Brooklyn I'm pretty spoiled my whole life with great Italian food so I'm a tough critic. For appetizers we had baked claims and the eggplant rollatini. The eggplant rollatini was cooked perfectly. It was light and the breading didn't fall apart. The baked claims was incredible that I had to dip the bread in that delicious oreganata and I usually don't do that in restaurants but it was too good. My main course was the spaghetti bolognese and I was relieved that there wasn't some sort of vegetable in there to give it a sweeter taste like peas or carrots as they do in some other restaurants. If I have one critique is that there was a lot of meat and I would of liked to taste more of his sauce because every Italian cook needs a signature sauce and I wanted to taste more of his. The restaurant is a little pricey but the portions are generous and the food is fantastic. When you sit down in a nice place with great food in a bougie area that has linens you have to expect to pay but in my opinion worth it. Will definitely go back and I will make sure to make room for the tartufo!

We picked up dinner on Friday night for the 2nd time this month. The first time was SO much better! The 2nd time was less than mediocre for me but okay for the BF. I ordered Zuppe de pesce from Mike who answered the phone. He was very nice. I told him gluten free thinking they might add a piece of bread. I called back and got a very cranky woman and reminded her to please make sure it's gluten free. I think she heard me wrong and changed my order to gluten free pasta with seafood. I ordered shrimp scampi pasta for BF and he liked it, hence the 3 stars instead of 2 Their gluten free pasta is sticky and gummy and they forgot to add extra marinara as requested. Too many calamari rings and not enough seafood. I had a few bites of leftover pasta last night then threw the rest in the trash. Very disappointing!!!

Came for dinner, food was good, I was excited that they had gluten free pasta, i ordered penne vodka and it was really good. Not your typical gluten free pasta which is heavy, highly recommend!

The bar area is separate from the main dining room and feels like its own space, with a large bar, a few small tables, and seating along the windows. It was fairly lively for a Thursday night. The bartenders were fun and engaging, clearly knew many of the regulars, and did a great job keeping the energy up. While there are no formal happy hour deals, they do serve complimentary chunks of parmesan, which were very good. The cocktail and wine menu is fairly extensive. We only ordered a small starter (fingerling potatoes for $13), but the dinner portions we saw looked generous. I enjoyed a glass of Malbec (~$15) and generous pour. Prices are closer to New York City pricing, though the portion sizes may be enough to share. When you enter the restaurant, you pass a large patio with tables, which would be especially nice during warmer months. Overall, Farm Italy feels like a great spot for catching up with friends over drinks, and I would definitely come back to try more of the food.

I remembered the restaurant so fondly and I've always wanted to go back since I moved out of LI. This weekend when I was visiting with my husband, I wanted to take him there because of how great it was the first time we went. We were able to grab a reservation for four people at 4 PM (which is pretty tough otherwise). Our server was nice and drinks were good but it didn't feel like that elevated experience that I once had here. The most disappointing part was that all of the food lacked so much flavor. We ordered the frito misto, the taglioni? (Pecorino cake style appetizer), salad, pappardelle, NY strip steak, roasted chicken. I felt like everything but the taglioni and salad lacked so much flavor and depth. I recall enjoying their food and having such an extraordinary experience the first time around, and this just felt like really basic food at a premium price point. I'm hoping it's a one off thing based off of circumstances outside their control, but I don't think I'd be going back anytime soon

Overall - 3/5 - solid Italian spot but nothing that really blows you out of the water. Food was good, kind if a mixed bag. Meats were very tender (lamb, veal) but certain appetizers and sides were lacking (clams casino, calamari). Fairly priced though for what you get. Service was really good, waitress was very warm and friendly. Staff was very attentive and on top of things, definitely the highlight. Inside was small, not tight, and it was clean. Overall the place does not really wow you but if you want a solid Italian spot, it is worth a stop. Best Dish - Lamb Chops Appetizer Would Return - potentially

If you are a real gourmand, then this restaurant is for you: IMC Restaurant & Bar in Huntington,…read moreNew York. As a true connoisseur, you know that the distance traveled is often a small price to pay for culinary perfection. Making the trek from Brooklyn was a pilgrimage that paid off in every bite. Dining at this establishment is less of a meal and more of a choreographed performance where every ingredient plays its part to perfection. Several dishes merit special mention. The evening began with a Watermelon Salad that redefined refreshment. Each vibrant cube of melon arrived with a crisp, crystalline texture, cleverly balanced by salty flourishes and herbal notes that felt like a cool breeze on a humid evening. It was followed by the Sweet Chilli Shrimp, a dish that struck a delicate chord between fire and honey. The shrimp were plump and oceanic, draped in a glaze that hummed with a sophisticated, creeping heat. Then came the crescendo: the steaks. The Wagyu was an absolute masterclass in decadence, possessing a buttery marble that seemed to dissolve upon contact, leaving behind a rich, lingering umami. In contrast, the Ribeye offered a more rugged, soul-satisfying experience--perfectly charred, deeply flavorful, and dripping with an earthy intensity that only the finest cuts can achieve. To close, the Floating Island and Tiramisu were a dream rendered in sugar and air. Beyond the words, just weightless finale to an otherwise powerful gastronomic journey. With a party of four, the portions were quite generous. We even had leftovers to take home and revisit the exceptional flavors the next day." Whether you are coming from around the corner or making the drive from Brooklyn, IMC delivers a level of hospitality and flavor that makes every mile worth it. Try it - you won't regret the trip. I. The Wagyu skewers had a really good soy sauce to dip in, and the flavor was really good. The bacon they serve is almost like a Canadian bacon. It was OK but not my favorite. For my man, I had the shrimp risotto. I really enjoyed the lemon flavor. My friend ordered the Kobe burger and it was huge. My other friend ordered the ribs and they were absolutely delicious. They looked as good as they tasted. At the end, the staff saying happy birthday and brought out for flavors of sherbet, which was so kind.
