Servers were extremely friendly, food was great, nice ambiance. Sausage and pepper pizza was crispy and tasty, carbonara was rich and delicious, and the pesto gnocchi left the plate faster than it was served. We will definitely be back! They also had a great house wine selection, my parents who are picky with reds absolutely loved their Cabernet!

Stopped in for takeout, counter service great, very friendly and courteous. Pizza's all looked delicious, but just wanted 2 regulars that were great. Chicken fiorenrina was fantastic, very tender chicken and great light brown sauce. Rice ball and fried cappelini also a home run. Definitely recommend this new Umberto's of Farmingdale. Great prices and perfect portions. Large outdoor parking and many tables for indoor dining.

We were 19 people after a memorial service at pinelawn cemetery . We arrived around 11:30 on a Saturday. Staff was excellent and patient. Food was amazing, as good if not better than the wantagh location or New Hyde park. Place was very pretty. Definitely will be back!

The staff was very friendly and attentive from start to finish. They made us feel welcome and were happy to answer questions about the menu. We went for the all-you-can-eat buffet, and it was absolutely delicious! The seafood was noticeably fresh and tasty -- crab legs, shrimp, mussels, and a great variety of other options were all well-prepared and flavorful. Everything tasted fresh, not frozen or overly salted like some buffet places. The sides and accompaniments were solid too. For the quality and unlimited seafood, the price was very reasonable -- definitely one of the best budget-friendly seafood options on Long Island. Whether you're craving fresh seafood or just want a fun, satisfying meal without breaking the bank, I would highly recommend Sexy Crab. Great spot for families, couples, or groups. Popei's Clam Bar - Bethpage…read more Stopped into Popei's for a little Sunday Funday and was actually surprised by how empty the restaurant was when we arrived. We had a 4 PM reservation and were greeted right away by a very nice hostess. One thing I immediately appreciated--the TVs! The NFL game I was watching only had a few minutes left, so I was able to catch the ending before getting down to business. Our server, Gaby, was great. Funny, outgoing, attentive, and had excellent communication with us throughout the meal. We shared a few laughs along the way, which always makes for a better dining experience. Now let's talk about the mozzarella sticks... Our son decided to give them another shot. The last time we were here, we thought they were just kind of average. Today was a completely different story. Perfectly fried, great flavor, and an AWESOME cheese pull. Huge improvement! My wife and I shared the onion rings, which had a nice thin batter, were perfectly fried, and were absolutely delicious. For entrées, we went with a burger, skirt steak, and snow crab legs. The burger was very good, the skirt steak was again very good, and the snow crab legs tasted fresh and were delicious. Even though it wasn't crowded when we arrived, the inside still had that lively, welcoming atmosphere that we've enjoyed on our visits here. Overall, another wonderful experience at Popei's Bethpage. Good food, great service, plenty of laughs, and definitely a place we'll continue coming back to. And Joe R. -- you're a man of your word! You said you'd step up those mozzarella sticks, and you absolutely did. Well done, Popei's. Another enjoyable Sunday Funday!

The food and service were good, but the way the check was calculated had a few inconsistencies. I should have taken the time to review it carefully before paying it. We ordered the prix fixe menu, and one guest substituted a higher priced entree for the included entrée. Instead of charging the difference between the two items, the restaurant charged both the full prix fixe meal and the full cost of the substitution as an additional entrée. The automatic 20% gratuity was also calculated on the taxes and the event/convenience fee (another questionable fee), which isn't standard and increased the total more than expected. The receipt advertised a "cash discount," but the total didn't change when paying cash. None of this ruined the event, but the math on the bill wasn't very transparent. Just something to keep in mind if you're dining with a large group.

Marcus's passion & dedication to the art of fishing & shellfishery shows. I come from a long line of clammers & eelers. My family does not give a BBQ without clams. We just don't. But Marcus (I can't say his name without hearing Eartha Kitt. If ya know, Ya know. Hahaha) has upped the ante with fresh shellfish & fish options also dry aged items as well. Today I was blessed with Jumbo Soft Shell Crabs! I was lazy & broiled them instead of grilling or frying them. They came out perfect! Called My Dad & he went back for some also. And the new hours!!! The only negative about the ambiance was that it was quite loud. The high ceilings didn't do much to absorb sound, so it was hard to hear my companion unless we leaned forward and spoke pretty loudly. The booth was very comfortable, the table spotless, and even the menu was clean (a small pet peeve of mine). The tap water came in a beautiful glass with a straw, although the water itself tasted a bit chemical-like. They have a lunch menu with very reasonable prices. We ordered a sushi-sashimi combo and stir-fried soba with vegetables. The lunch menu is limited, so they also gave us the regular menu. Oddly, only 1 regular menu was provided for 2 people, so we had to keep passing it back and forth. It's an easy fix that would make browsing much easier. We ended up ordering an appetizer and a signature roll from the regular menu too. The lunch specials came with salad or soup. We chose the salad, which was mostly romaine with a typical Japanese dressing. The portion was larger than expected for a side salad, and the lettuce was fresh and crunchy. Our appetizer was the Lobster Tapas: "Spicy lobster & shrimp wrapped with seared pepper tuna." This was delicious. There were 5 little towers with very fresh ingredients and 2 excellent sauces--a chunky green sauce and a sweeter orange sauce. The tuna was flavorful and very tender. At this point we were already planning to come back with the rest of the family. Next came the sushi-sashimi combo. There were 9 pieces of sashimi beautifully presented on ice, plus 3 pieces of sushi and a spicy tuna roll. The sashimi was very fresh, tender, and flavorful, especially the tuna. Unfortunately, the spicy tuna roll was the weak point. It tasted dry, lacked flavor, and seemed to contain far more crunchy fillers than tuna. It reminded me of a meatball with too much breadcrumb and not enough meat. I'd rather have a smaller roll with better-quality fish than a larger one padded with fillers. The spicy tropical roll was also disappointing. It too seemed to contain more fillers than fish, and the sauce was a little too sweet. It didn't taste fish-forward enough for a "signature" roll. The flavors leaned more fusion than authentic Japanese. If ingredient cost is the issue, I'd gladly pay a few dollars more for a better fish-to-filler ratio. The stir-fried soba with "vegetables" was also disappointing. The noodles didn't taste like Japanese buckwheat soba, and the both the taste + presentation reminded me of instant ramen. The flavor was decent but nothing memorable, and there were only a few pieces of zucchini--nowhere near enough vegetables to justify the name of the dish. The service was good overall. Our server was very sweet and friendly but definitely could use more training. While we were both trying to read the single menu, she interrupted to take our order instead of asking if we needed another minute--or even better, bringing us a second menu. Not a huge issue, but not especially pro or polished. As we were finishing, we ordered a couple of takeout items for a family member. The server kindly offered to package our leftovers with the takeout, which was appreciated. However, when the bill arrived, 1 of the takeout dishes was missing. It took a while to get her attention, and when we did, she reprinted the check without explaining how much longer the forgotten item would take. She did swing back to say she'd ask the chef to expedite, but we still waited quite a while, making us late for a meeting. As for the takeout, the Valentine Roll was just ok, similar to the signature roll we had at lunch. We also ordered a tuna roll, yellowtail roll, and sweet potato roll. None were bad, but they lacked the flavor we expected. Whether it was the rice or the ingredients, they just didn't stand out. Overall, it was a nice lunch. The beautiful restaurant, fresh sashimi, generous salad, and excellent appetizer showed a lot of promise. Unfortunately, too many of the rolls relied on fillers instead of fish, the soba missed the mark, and there were a few service missteps. They're very close--just a handful of small, doable improvements could elevate the experience from okay to outstanding. I hope they do.

I made a reservation for two on a Saturday night, and the restaurant was pretty busy, but they had our table ready even though we arrived 30 minutes early. Our server was Evelyn, and she was so sweet and she helped us when we were trying to decide between two desserts and three appetizers. We ordered: - Spring Salad (5/5) this tasted so good with the fresh mango, the snap peas, and the carrot ginger dressing. - Faroe Islands Salmon (5/5) I only tasted the rice, and not the salmon itself, but the rice was so good, and I just kept on stealing more from the plate. - Roasted-Half Chicken (4/5) This was my own entrée, and I loved how the chicken was crispy, and I also really liked the garlic mashed potatoes, but the only thing that I did not think worked well with the dish was the swiss chard. I think it would've tasted better with spinach. - Strawberry Cheesecake (4/5) this was surprisingly very light for a cheesecake, we ended up finishing all of it, and the whipped cream was really good. The strawberries were not my favorite, I kind of wish that they were just fresh slices of strawberries, but to each their own. All in all, this was a super solid meal, there's plenty of parking, and the restaurant is quite spacious, and the single bathrooms are also pretty large.

The bun was too big, making the beef to bun ratio completely off. Also, I hate when chefs put the lettuce and tomato underneath the patty (because they don't want the bottom of the bun to get soggy).I don't want to taste bread, lettuce, and tomato before my tastebuds hit the beef. There wasn't any juice in the burger to make anything soggy anyway. It might have been one of the worst burgers I've ever had. The fries were just ok. The baby gem Caesar was ok but the chicken add on was unbelievably dry and inedible. My wife pushed the whole plate to the side and no one asked why she didn't eat it, even after she told them she didn't want it wrapped up to go. The zucchini chips were passable. My father and his girlfriend were not impressed with their chicken sandwiches either.

The RVC is louder with more music blasting to really curate a vibe but I actually like this location a bit more. I do like the selection of happy hour drinks and I'm always happy to eat raw oysters, these are good. However, the rest of the food isn't worth it to me. It tastes very commercial and I feel you're better off splurging at a premium seafood restaurant. For example, I had the gumbo and it was decent but definitely needed more seasoning and more spiciness. It wasn't anything special and I wouldn't get it again. I've also tried calamari and their baked clams and I could do without these as well. I also tried their crab dip (but at the RVC location, menu can vary) and that was not good. I gave voodoo crab a few tries and I don't think it's bad but it's not great either. I would only suggest the happy hour menu + drinks. I haven't tried the seafood boils here (not super interesting to me) but maybe that's worth the money in the end. The service here was great, our waitress was nice and didn't rush us out and checked on us multiple times to make sure we needed anything. For that I can say that despite the misses with some of food the restaurant isn't too bad and is worth about 3 stars.
