Sooo good I can't wait to be back and try more Highly recommend for pasta lovers !! Everything was authentic and fresh

I feel this place is for true past lovers. The menu is small. You choose the different style pasta, then the sauce and the side (meat..). The food is good. The draw back is that there is no bar. The alcoholic drinking options are either red wine or white wine. The place is small & quaint and it appears that the doors open up when the wether permits.

Pasta Joint - what did I find? Warm reception with the chef Gab and owners like going home to binge watch the sopranos! Located on the corner with decor like grandmas house how can the food be bad ! They make their pasta fresh everyday ( stop by in the am and watch them make it) The focaccia was out of this world - it's crunch and chewy in the center - the olive oil mixture is addictive. The meatballs had texture flavor and consistency that reminded you that this is was made from love - the ricotta mixture gave it a creamy balance. Now the burrata - it's creamy just dip the focaccia into the sauce it'll be gone in two seconds. Pasta Carbonara- chessy, creamy and slurpy pasta Spicy - rigatoni's ( ask chef gab to make is spicy) Funghi - a touch of Marsala rounds this pasta out ! Vodka - taste the vodka ! Dessert- TIRAMISU- it's home made ,soft ,velvety not too sweet addictive ! Nutella chocolate mouse - it's superb - the pistachio and caramel crumble gave it a nice texture! I recommend coming and staying for a while - bring friends sit back and enjoy a homemade Italian meal.

Many can boil pasta, but only chef at the pasta joint can make the incredible sauces that go with it. From fettuccine Alfredo to pasta carbonara or even the most incredible pesto pasta ever you will find it all at the pasta joint in Huntington. Highly recommend trying the Parmesan as well as the food is excellent service, impeccable, and prices that do not hurt the wallet. Thank you chef for an incredible experience and we look forward to coming back.

I had been wanting to come here since I saw them working on it. We finally stopped for lunch one day, and I have to say, we will definitely be back. It was amazing to see how the inside was transformed from the prior place. I really liked how it is decorated. It's an artsy feel, but still very nice. The staff was very welcoming and had no problems moving people to a larger table if requested (it also wasn't too busy, so it was possible). We started with the meatballs and, as seen by the photo, they were so enticing I forgot to get a photo. All I could get was the bowl wiped clean. They reminded me of my moms meatballs and the ricotta and sauce perfectly balanced to give some tartness and sweetness. I will absolutely be back for them because wow. For our pastas, we got the funghi with fettuccini and bolognese with spaghetti. I really like that you can pick a sauce and pasta shape. The price also is great, especially for the quality and amount you get. They brought our dishes and came by with parmesean, always a plus. I really enjoyed the funghi dish, but did wish they used an earthier mushroom like a cremini and wanted the sauce to be little bit creamier (just personal preference). I am not a fan of bolognese, but this one was very good. The meat was seasoned well and the only complaint is wishing there was more sauce, but that just means I have to come back and get the Pomodoro or Amatriciana. I had a wonderful experience and was told I have to come back to try the tiramisu. I am definitely looking forward to coming back!

The location is perfect--right in the center of everything--and it worked out well since we had movie plans afterward. They don't take reservations, which was the biggest downside of the night and why I didn't give a full 5 stars! We arrived at 6pm on a Saturday, and even with the rain pouring, we didn't get seated until 7pm. Hopefully they introduce reservations soon, because the wait definitely took away from the experience. The menu is small, both food and drinks, which I personally love because it usually means they focus on doing a few things really well--and that was absolutely the case here. My husband and friend ordered the aglio e olio, and if you're a garlic lover, this is the pasta for you. Perfectly balanced garlic flavor, not too oily or creamy, and honestly I regret not ordering it myself. It was so good. We also had the chicken Milanese and crunch to perfection. I ordered the bolognese, along with another friend. It was tasty and satisfying, though not particularly unique. A solid classic, just not the standout of the night. We also shared the minestrone and the burrata, and the burrata ended up being one of the best I've had! The burrata ball came out crispy on the outside, as did the bread it was served with. The tomato cream and Parmesan were perfectly balanced--rich but not heavy. Overall, this is definitely a spot I'd come back to. The food is great, the menu is focused, and the flavors are on point. Wait staff was friendly But busy and was cute inside but very small. Once they start accepting reservations, this will truly be a perfect go-to dinner spot in the village.

    Chicken Parm / Mushroom Ravioli

Starting with food: excellent. We went for lunch and brought home leftovers. We ordered sides: chicken parmigiana and Burrata was served with vodka sauce and slices of focaccia. Both were excellent. Mushroom ravioli was a special of the day. The best!! I had bolognese sauce over fettuccine. This is My favorite. Tiramisu for dessert. Service was attentive. Ambience: great little place. You can watch pasta being made. Great corner location. Highly recommend!!!!

They don't take reservations in advance. You have to get to the place and scan to get on the waiting list only to be told that you have to wait another 60 minutes after you've been on the list for over 50 minutes to just sit and eat in this place and the owner or manager was very rude and didn't even care

The decor & ambience, nicely, lit, and inviting !

The food was served promptly. The waitresses were engaging, if you are in a Huntington area, I suggest you stop in.....

I love this place! The focaccia bread is a must have, the chicken Milanese is a must have, all the fresh pastas. It's so cute for a girls dinner to share or a date, highly recommend!

The bar area is separate from the main dining room and feels like its own space, with a large bar, a few small tables, and seating along the windows. It was fairly lively for a Thursday night. The bartenders were fun and engaging, clearly knew many of the regulars, and did a great job keeping the energy up. While there are no formal happy hour deals, they do serve complimentary chunks of parmesan, which were very good. The cocktail and wine menu is fairly extensive. We only ordered a small starter (fingerling potatoes for $13), but the dinner portions we saw looked generous. I enjoyed a glass of Malbec (~$15) and generous pour. Prices are closer to New York City pricing, though the portion sizes may be enough to share. When you enter the restaurant, you pass a large patio with tables, which would be especially nice during warmer months. Overall, Farm Italy feels like a great spot for catching up with friends over drinks, and I would definitely come back to try more of the food.

I remembered the restaurant so fondly and I've always wanted to go back since I moved out of LI. This weekend when I was visiting with my husband, I wanted to take him there because of how great it was the first time we went. We were able to grab a reservation for four people at 4 PM (which is pretty tough otherwise). Our server was nice and drinks were good but it didn't feel like that elevated experience that I once had here. The most disappointing part was that all of the food lacked so much flavor. We ordered the frito misto, the taglioni? (Pecorino cake style appetizer), salad, pappardelle, NY strip steak, roasted chicken. I felt like everything but the taglioni and salad lacked so much flavor and depth. I recall enjoying their food and having such an extraordinary experience the first time around, and this just felt like really basic food at a premium price point. I'm hoping it's a one off thing based off of circumstances outside their control, but I don't think I'd be going back anytime soon

We got the butternut squash which sounded very fancy on the menu but was just butternut squash with a piece of fried prosciutto stuck in each portion on top of cacio e pepe sauce which by the way was broken. We also got what we thought was going to be artichokes on a bed of arugula but was mostly arugula with a few small pieces of artichoke and some pistachios. It was bland, definitely needed some vinegar or lemon or something. Not worth the price, I could have thrown that together myself at home. We also had the spinach/pear salad. Again, I could have made that at home. I got the lemon shrimp linguine. I liked the pasta, I liked the sauce, I did not like the shrimp that came with it. They were tiny and maybe boiled, just not great. We also had the ravioli. One big extremely dense ravioli, raviolo or whatever a singular one is technically called. It was ok but so dense and rich. We also had the bolognese. Not the best. For the prices we paid we expected greatness. We each had dessert. So for the 3 of us the bill came to almost $300 with tip. I personally felt like the service did not warrant the tip but we left it anyway. We weren't checked on, we had to wait a long time to get the bill and we paid by phone app. The service wasn't great. I think the best part of the entire night was the little bucket of candy that we got with the check. The gummy butterfly was delicious! No, we won't be back.

Day 2: Escape from NYC to the North Shore of Long Island…read more Eatery 2 of 2 This was an interesting morning and day and I got to see places and things I've not seen before. We moved eastward along the L.I.E. and made a quick stop at the Starbucks in Little Neck Plaza. This is the last community in Queens along I-495 and in no way feels like the stereotypes people incorrectly have about New York City. Upon getting on the road again, even though we moved up to Northern Boulevard, we would soon be in Long Island. Note that Brooklyn and Queens are actually at the westernmost part of Long Island, but they are boroughs of New York City proper. Long Island only means that you have crossed into Nassau County... and could continue further east into Suffolk County. (Okay, now that I've explained that, I'm done being pedantic.) In no time, everything seemed to change. We saw mansions in Great Neck and small centers with upscale and boutique shops along the route, which was a continuation of Northern Boulevard named 25-A. We were approaching lunchtime and headed to Oyster Bay. We walked into a restaurant there on Long Island Sound. It was a mix of a Margaritaville crowd (what, in the Northeast?) and a boating enthusiast crowd, with a number of Karens and men suitably coupled with them. Said another way, the douchebag factor appeared higher than average. I asked that we move on. We then ended up in Cold Spring Harbor, which is completely different, and where small boutiques and nicer independent restaurants line a small strip. None of the posted menus appealed to me and I figured it was better to go right into the town of Huntington. By looking at the phone, it was down to a New American bistro and an Italian restaurant. A short wait at the New American restaurant sent us to Porto Fino. Note that it is not Portofino, which is the expensive Ligurian town and yacht harbor for the jet set. In fact, when I inquired about the regional leanings of the restaurant and its ownership, it was indicated that it might be Neapolitan. With that, and the fact that it was nicer, but not fine dining, I knew that "abbondanza" was coming down the pike. I was right. We looked at the menu and saw that they offered different pastas with different sauce preparations. If you wanted, you could switch the types of pasta, just like you can at places that reasonably accommodate their customers. The pastas selected were rigatoni and fusilli. The chosen sauces were of the tomato-cream variety and their ingredients were tangy and delicious. You've seen those vessel bowls where there's a small cupped area in the middle and a small amount of pasta is placed in it, am I right? At Porto Fino, it's a large vessel bowl with a large cupped area, making for a very filling plate of pasta. This also heightened how good the meal was. Prior to the meal, they brought out an appetizer that, while maybe billed as a focaccia, seemed more like pizza squares. They were more like a white pizza, topped with various vegetables, and they were also good. The summer weather was surprisingly mild. We ordered soft drinks to wash down the meal and cool us off, in addition to the glasses of ice water that were brought out. The interior was spacious and furnished in a way befitting the restaurant's ethnicity and genre. We were watching the server interact with a party that arrived prior to us and was eating, and the enthusiastic way he was attending to them was also extended to us. Lastly, the prices were fair for the quality and quantity received and for being in a nicer community on Long Island. This wasn't planned, so it was a fortuitous event. We just kept moving on from Oyster Bay and Cold Spring Harbor and ended up here. I also learned a lot about Long Island. I always thought that it would be a gridded and boilerplate extension of Queens, spilling over into the adjacent county, much like SoCal's San Fernando Valley over the mountain pass is built out like many parts of Los Angeles's basin. With large forested lots and winding two-lane roads, the northern part of it, at the very least, is not at all like that. I would gladly return here. I'm giving Porto Fino of Huntington, New York a strong 4 stars. We had a very satisfying lunch to fill and fuel us for the similarly interesting trip back to New York City that afternoon.
