Have eaten here several times with grandchildren and husband. First time one child had a long dark hair in his food. Another time we were seated directly across the door to the kitchen and a glance over when the door was open was shocking in the view of The filthy conditions on that kitchen. One of my favorite spots. When they are busy it is very loud. During the week is calmer. They have some interesting decorations. The staff is friendly and helpful. They have the best brunch and really great coffee. I've had other dishes here but still my favorite is chicken and waffles. We stopped in on our way out east. Great breakfast and allergy-sensitive menu options. Food was delicious - I had gluten-free chocolate chip pancakes with scrambled eggs, home fries and fruit. My Bloody Mary was tasty and nicely presented but was a bit weak on the vodka. Our server was prompt and friendly. The wait for a table is the main reason why this is a 4 and not 5-star review. This place has definitely gone down hill. I used to come here and very satisfied. Went in today and had to ASK for utensils and napkins which is ridiculous. No water refills aswell. Food was quick but wasn't up to par. Had to ask for take out boxes twice and wait 20 minutes in between. FYI - Krispy Nutella French toast is false advertisement. First time eating in Patchogue Main street. We arrived afternoon on a Thursday and still a 10min wait for 2 of us. That was a good sign! I'm a sucker for special coffee drinks and this place did not disappoint me. Ordered a vanilla almond cappuccino that came in a fun mug too. I was having a hard time deciding on pancakes vs french toast and went with Cinnamon swirl French toast. YUM! My husband ordered a delicious breakfast burrito with pork eggs avocado and side of veggies. Great friendly service all around. Covered outdoor seating available which is a nice plus. I went here with my cousin and it was packed on a random Wednesday so we had to go and get barstool seats which was perfectly fine with us. Our server was really sweet without being overbearing. I ordered the toasted coconut mocha and it was actually really good. I'm usually not a fan of breakfast drinks (for a lack of better terms albeit you could technically drink a mocha at any time haha) but I figured why not. I loved the toasted coconut a lot and there was a generous amount of coconut shavings given. For food, we ordered the Eggs Benedict and the Cinnamon Swirl French Toast. The Eggs Benedict were good and the hollandaise sauce was perfect with a little bit of hot sauce. The Cinnamon Swirl French Toast was a nice contrast and I liked that it wasn't too sweet. The portions were huge (especially the home fries) and we had to take some to go. All in all, this is a great chain for reliable and affordable brunch. read more

Very good experience for breakfast during covid. We arrived around 11:30am on a Sunday, knowing it would be crowded. The wait was about 40 minutes for 2. There is a waitlist that you can add your party to through the Toast website- highly recommend doing so. You can walk around the town until they text that your spot is ready! We did not know this though, so we were added to the waitlist through the hostess. They do a bar-code scanning menu, or you can ask for a paper menu. I really liked how spread out the tables were- I felt very distanced and safe from others. The iced peanut butter mocha was delicious! Super sweet but also enough coffee to wake you up. I reviewed Toast a while ago and returned when visiting family wanted to go there. Last visit I gave 2 stars. This time I'm giving it one star and would give zero stars if I could. We had reservations for 7 at 11 AM and arrived on time. We were seated 45 minutes later. Waited 30 minutes for a waitress. Waited 25 minutes for our food. My "Eggs Any Style" with bacon was cold. The bacon was pretty raw with bacon grease dripping on the over-seasoned potatoes. The potatoes are drenched in paprika; so much so that they are grainy with the spice. I sent the breakfast back and only the eggs were reheated. I told the waitress (who was very accommodating) and she agreed everything was cold except the eggs. When my breakfast came back, the bacon was incorporated into the potatoes. I gave up. The sourdough toast, (upcharged btw $1.50) was soaked in butter. I. Gave. Up. My partner had the Brooklyn Chicken. She said it was bland, dry and overcooked. And, not much chicken. When she pointed out that half the sandwich was empty the person who brought the food, not the waitress, rearranged the chicken right at the table. She. Gave. Up. Berry & Brie Crepes we're good, per my mom and DIL. Smokey Valley Skillet good, per my son. Everything is an upcharge. OJ $4.75. American Cheese on an omelette $1.00. Sourdough toast $1.50. $141 for breakfast. Bottom line: Go to a diner. Go to the California diner. Go to George's Luncheonette. TOAST ruined my 87 year old moms birthday brunch. If you plan on going here during "peak" hours, get ready for a long wait. It's a pretty awful waiting area as well: a small corridor with minimal seating. However, after the wait Toast definitely lives up to its reputation. Incredible food, both vegan and non vegan, friendly staff, plenty of food options without it feeling too "diner-y". Beautiful cafe reopened for service. My wife & I are in Patchogue Saturday morning. We walk into our usual restaurant and it was packed! This is a good thing, I'm so glad to see these businesses coming back to normal. We're not going to wait so I said isn't Toast a few doors down? Walking inside, this is a very large space. We have a Toast Coffeehouse in Port Jefferson, you could fit the entire restaurant in the dining room! The Patchogue Toast Coffeehouse has a nice vibe. My wife ordered a seasonal omelet. The omelet had butternut squash, caramelized onions, maple bacon chunks and cheese with sweet potato fries, this was an incredible meal. My meal? The clean winner! I love it when I order better than my wife. Ha! I ordered Corned Beef Hash & Eggs. Sounds simple right? TC takes two organic poached eggs and places them on freshly baked rye. Then the eggs are topped with hollandaise sauce, caramelized brussel sprouts & bacon. All of this sits on their Corned Beef (Not out of a can) and it was the same mix of sweet potatoes and regular potatoes that my wife had on her breakfast place. I mean toast is one of my favorite brunchy restaurants, so this is always going to get great reviews from me. I usually used to go to the port Jefferson location but I'm closer to patchogue now so this is where I go all the time. I mean they have amazing drinks, anywhere Freon cocktails to amazing coffee which now you can add cbd to, for a nice relaxing time lol. They just added coffee flights to their menu which are pretty good, honestly if you're with someone else, it makes sense to just split it because it's a decent amount to drink with all the food. Their food is always great, and now they've added table shares which they change frequently. The mini pancakes were delicious and very filling. They also added pies to their menu and everything is amazing. I do like this location as well because it's actually a bigger restaurant then the original port jeff location so the wait times are a little better I think. My suggestion is for you to add your name to the wait list when you're home so by the time you get there your table is ready! If you're looking for giant serving sizes and great food and drinks, come check this place out! read more

I've loved Toast for a long time now. I went about a month ago and sat outside with my dog in the patio area and I don't know that I've ever had a better experience. They made sure we were BOTH taken care of and not forgotten, as I was the only one sitting outside. The food and coffee were delicious as always and the team was amazing, as expected. Having recently hosted a baby shower at Toast Patchogue, I can honestly say it is an amazing venue for a private party. The food and service are outstanding! The staff is amazing! The private party room is lovely and tastefully decorated in a country boho western kind of way. Event manager Kati and GM Chris were absolute pleasures to work with, truly going above and beyond. I had a family matter that could have resulted in a postponement of my scheduled event. Instead of adding to my stress, they wanted to know what they could do, that would be best for my family. It is truly very rare these days to have a business care more for their customer than their bottom line! I yelped and found a few spots. I chose Toast because the food looked great and they had great reviews. Boy am I glad we came here! What a cute place! I hear it's always busy and there is a wait most of the time but I guess we got lucky. We were seated right away at a nice table by the outdoor slider. It was a beautiful day! We ordered coffee and a soda (for my mom). For food.... I got 2 eggs over medium, Turkey bacon, potatoes, multigrain toast, and a side of avocado. She got the Delancey Street omelette (with no bacon) comes with potatoes and toast...she got rye. The food was incredible! Big portions. Super tasty! Bread was delicious! My mom loved her omelette (it was huge). I tried it too and it was yummy! I wish I had more time here and I would have come at least two more times lol lunch menu looked great too! The avocado BLT omelet is fantastic (and what a great idea)! I always try to recreate it, home or away, inspired by the one at Toast. The coffee is always strong, fresh, and hot. The home fries are seasoned very well, sometimes crispy. There are other good side options, for an up-charge, like fruit, biscuits (with a side of honey butter - yum), multigrain bread, and more. Their waffles, pancakes, and French toast are all SO good, and they have great gluten-free options too! I always wish there was more Nutella or crisp on the "Krispy Nutella" one. The sweet potato pancakes are good; the honey butter on them is the best part. The Belgian waffle with berries is sooo perfect, and the buttermilk pancakes are great too. They have tons of lunch options that I've heard are all great too, but I've never even gotten past their breakfast, I love it so much! I have never had anything bad from Toast. They are always slammed, sometimes a bit of a wait for a table, and sometimes the servers are swamped, but that comes with the busyness! I am not into breakfast. My wife found this place years ago. I just realized that I have not given a review to Toast Coffeehouse. Our first visit was at the Bay Shore location. Our second location was at the Patchogue Village location. The Patchogue location is definitely bigger and the wait time is not as bad as the Bay Shore location. I now go to the Patchogue location. The food is just as good in either location you choose. I can assure you that! I recommend that if you have plans on eating here, that you make a reservation as soon as possible. Not being a breakfast person, I will definitely choose to eat here for breakfast anytime I get a chance. No other place I would consider. Not only do they have excellent service, but the food is wonderful. I always order Cinnamon Swirl French toast without any powdered sugar or cream. I get it plain. I get a side of corned beef with everything except the rye bread and the hollandaise sauce. I also get a side of egg whites. Well done. You have to tell them to make the edges crispy for your egg whites to come out correctly. If you prefer regular eggs, you will be OK ordering however you prefer your eggs. I order myself a Coke or Pepsi to wash it down. When you eat here, you Get the feel that you are eating brunch. I can't remember which one they has, but it's between the two. They have natural syrup, which I will not recommend. Go with the regular syrup. You may like the natural syrup. Just asked, can you have a taste of the natural syrup. you may like it. Or you may not. I asked to try a little before I put it on my food. I am OCD. With that said, you may not care if they bring your food all on one plate. I have to have everything on a separate plate for me. I know it sounds a bit much, but I tip for good service and my request. You will definitely love this place. If you don't mind the noise of chatting and the crowd, you will have a good time. The Patchogue location is much bigger so there's a lot of space. Everyone is minding their own business and enjoying their food. I always ordered the same thing, but I am considering changing it up and going with the Apple strudel French toast. I just need a little more info. The sausage and bacon is also good. My kids usually order that I prefer the corned beef on the side. If you are still going to IHOP and whatever diner you are going to, this place will definitely be a major upgrade! You have to try this place. The next time I go there, I will post some photos. I am baffled that I have not left a review years ago! ‍. The server kept forgetting what we asked for and making careless mistakes, for instance we ordered tea and the waiter brought out hot water with no tea bag. It took 15-20min just to be able to get the tea bag after the water. Then, food comes out with no utensils, then another 20 min wait for utensils. Then our pancake order comes out and they were just inedible. The batter was gross, gummy, and bitter. I waited around 30 mins for a new order to come out and they were exactly the same. At 9 AM, our waitress gave our party of 9 an attitude for asking for separate checks. We stated we weren't asked prior to ordering and we were told by the a manger that the restaurant doesnt ask and the customer is responsible for asking for separate checks. In all my dining experiences, I've never heard of this being the standard. The manage scolded our table and it was very inappropriate. I could understand if the restaurant was busy but they only had one other party seated and we could see our waitress complaining to her coworkers. Then they added 20% gratuity on each bill after treating poorly. Won't come back. Poor customer service and poor staff training read more

I've always loved Toast. Seriously, since back in the early 2000s when it was a tiny hole in the wall in Port Jeff that did fondue at night and you had to wait hours for a table (can you bring that back?) The one in Patchogue is going downhill a bit. Ate here this week and had the Benedict Arnold (eggs Benedict). The English muffin it was on was so stale and then over toasted that I couldn't even cut it with a steak knife. I was disappointed. My waitress took our order and then disappeared. We never saw her again. She also didn't ask me what type of milk I'd like with my coffee and just dropped me milk. (I like almond milk) I shouldn't spoken up but she ran away too quick. This was the last we saw her. This was a weekday and the place wasn't as packed as it usually gets. I saw her peek out of the overflow seating room on her cell phone. Like really? I had to ask the hostess for our check so we could leave. The two tables next to us were left out in the cold too. One table was sat and then no one came over for over 20 minutes.
