Can't believe I visited here again. Last time a year ago it was mediocre and today it had gotten worse. Ordered burger well done and got it medium rare in a cold bun. Burgers and fries shouldn't be that complicated but I guess they are. Service was good but food was less so. read more

With all of the competition in the food industry in DFW, Plano etc. I would like to think I would staff my bar and restaurant with servers that might help my business grow. We came in to have a drink and place an order. The bartender gave off the oddest unwelcoming vibe I seen in a long time. There are no other casual sports bars in that area. Your restaurant could beat if there was actual management and decent servers who actually want to have a welcoming restaurant. Its disappointing to me that Snuffers is locally owned yet on one is around managing. There's no excuse for service or bad food. Fix your restaurant and make it a spot where people want to come and be neighborly and watch sports. read more

Snuffers has always been a favorite of mine. It's had its up's and downs since it lost its original Plano location, but after tonight's visit I'm reminded of the restaurant's greatness. Perfect Cheesy fries are the hallmark of the business, and to come to Snuffers without getting them is a cardinal sin. Their menu has recently gotten some new items. Tonight I had the hot honey chicken sandwich and it was fantastic. The sweet heat combination with a bit of acidity form pickles and a ranch was fantastic. The service was great, and my server, Asher W was extremely kind and very attentive!! A great thing to experience when table service can vary experience to experience. Snuffers has never lost its charm with a great in-house soundtrack, a charming green style, and classic wooden booths. Snuffers is a great place to run by for a quick bite on a free evening. Sports fans will be happy with the many TV's through the location. I highly recommend this spot for great burgers, bites, and cheesy fry delights. Food was ok , chili came out Luke warm . The patty melt came out soggy . I ordered a mimosa and after my friend ordered Cas B was non existent. There was a gentleman who came over with a box and asked me if I wanted a box . We weren't even done eating . We felt rushed and we were going to order more cocktails and spend more money but obviously cass was ready to leave for the day . Can this burger joint get any worse? Yes! The server was terrible. The server did not return to take our order until after we finished our queso, salsa, and chips. My order was wrong. I got way over charged for what I ordered to go. I got a steak finger basket with an upgrade on the fries for $5 extra. Seriously it should have been $1.99 extra tops. I wish I could leave 0 stars. Ordered chicken strips fries and fried mushrooms. The chicken strips were unseasoned and tough as leather they were uneatble the fries were soggy and old the fried mushrooms were bland and uncrispy. Love Snuffer's and have been going for 24+ years now. (obv not only this location) Food was good with the exception of the queso ... that has been my favorite part of every visit since the beginning. I don't know if Snuffer's changed the recipe or we got a bad batch but it was almost gross. Very thick and not like it used to be for so many years. We have been loyal customers of Snuffer's for 40 years, dating back to the original on Greenville Ave. We've always been able to count on Snuffer's for a good, tasty basic hamburger and sides. Until now. I'm done with Snuffer's. My wife and I ate at the West Plano location the evening of October 24. Two turkey burgers, an order of onion rings, and drinks. The burgers were fine. But the onion rings were godawful, just horrible! Snuffer's used to have big, thick, lightly coated rings, but these were like deep fried Funyuns. Same quality as Ore-Ida out of a vat of grease. Skinny little rings with hardly any onion, swimming in grease. Just disgusting. When our server came to settle up, we mentioned how bad the onion rings were. She told us that since they went to a new menu and changed the rings, they'd gotten a lot of complaints about the rings. She suggested I contact corporate to voice my complaint. And, to add insult to injury, the rings are listed on the menu at $4.50. The charge on the receipt was $5.25. A small difference was deceptive. I wrote to Snuffer's corporate the following morning. They say to give them 2-4 business days to respond. 4 days later, no response. So, I wrote again. 4 days later, still no response. So, I researched and found their parent company -- Local Favorite Restaurants -- and wrote to them. Almost a week later, no response. 40 years of good food and hospitality earns you some goodwill. But the complete absence of customer service just burned through that. Snuffer's, their management, and their corporate ownership just don't seem to care about their customers. There are plenty of great burgers in Dallas -- Sky Rocket Burger, Scotty P's, Chips, and dozens of others. To hell with Snuffer's. I'm done with them. read more

Consistently an excellent burger! Always just get the classic without cheese for $6.99, and it's as good as they get! Snuffers also has a lot of other totally fattening and indulgent items as well. Their cheese fries loaded to the max are on the top of the list. Take a fork full of cheddar fries, put on some bacon, green onions and jalapeños and then dip them in some full fat ranch dressing. It's rare that I get these but when I do I enjoy every bite. Some of their specialty burgers are pretty decedent too. Very delicious fattening food that tastes great, but that's not necessarily great for you. Just hit the gym and do some extra aerobics afterwards and you'll be fine! read more

It's bad business to post that an establishment is open until 10:00 P.M. and turn customers away at 9:40 P.M. When I brought it to there attention they are supposed to be open they unlocked the door for us to come in through the patio. All the employees looked at us like we are the problem and then tell us we can order food but the bar is closed. I can somewhat understand why this would happen if there was no one in the restaurant, but there was about 12 patrons eating and drinking. So out of the concern our food would be tainted we chose to go across the street to brick house where the service and food was phenomenal with a great selection of beer and whiskey. 5 stars for brick house! read more

When my preggers wife said she was craving a cheeseburger, I knew just where to go. We walked in for lunch on a Friday. We were a little early and beat the rush so we got to pick our spot. When I walked in, they had the Dallas Stars game on from the night before which is an immediate plus for a diehard fan like me. We were greeted almost instantly by our server, Mary, who was so nice to us and very pleasant. She never tried to rush us. She had a nice smile and was upbeat. Her attitude was the one thing (besides my burger) that stood out and made me want to Yelp this place. She rocks. Now for the food. I saw this DrPepper BBQ Bacon Burger on the menu and was like whoa! I was concerned the burger was going to taste like DrPepper but it doesnt. It has a kick to with the sauce but does not overpower the burger itself. I ordered it medium rare because you know most places it will come out a little more done that what you request. I like medium rare to medium. It came out exactly medium rare which I was like okay cool they cook it just how you say. The burger was off the chain. When I took my first bite, the burger juice shot out across the table. But not how sometimes that happens and it burns you. It was a kickass juicy bite with juice to spare. I wolfed that thing down and felt like a champ. My wife got her custom cheeseburger and loved it. It came out medium like she asked. We also devoured a medium order of loaded cheese fries. Quote from my wife.."I don't understand how these are so good. How are they this good? These are so f'ing good." So yeah they're good. Ingredients on everything were fresh. I didn't think anything was over-greasy and they melt the cheese just right. I've been a regular at this location since they opened this one a few years back. It's a great place to have a laid back lunch or dinner for cheap. You usually seat yourself when you enter and a waiter will be with you fast. On my most recent visit, DQ was my waiter and he was great, however the whole team is a great staff and the service is consistently good. I will say the food here is a little inconsistent in quality, and I've noticed some dishes are prepared differently every time I go, which is interesting, but the flavor is consistent which is good, and you can't beat the cheddar fries! If you ever find yourself wanting a place to just hang out and get a meal for cheap this is a great place to do so! read more

Solid hamburger place that we go to every couple months. Joined their app and get free appetizers regularly and noticed of specials. The cheddar prizes are their popular appetizer (we love the pickle chips and fried mushrooms!). The burgers are really good and they often have good beer deals.
