This burger joint feels very homey and cute! I also love how your name order is a famous person. They even have a selection of pickles to choose and enjoy! Unfortunately, these are the only things that got going for them. All 3 burgers we ordered were dry and bland. I'm not sure if we were supposed to drizzle them with their sauces because those sauces were very strong in flavor, and could overwhelm the burgers honestly. The disco fries were way too salty as well. Most of the pickles were way too soft - however, the bread and butter is my favorite! It has the perfect balance of sweet and sour and has a great crunch. we had work lunch here with a large group after we volunteered at Minnies food pantry one morning. I ordered fried pickles and a chicken Cesar salad. Fun fact, Cesar salad was invented in Tijuana, Mexico. Same great taste from what remember, I used to go often in college. We went around lunchtime, and I ordered the Western burger (my husband did too), while my brother got the American. All of them were huge--definitely something you could split if you're not super hungry, but if you are, you'll happily finish it. The flavors were great and the portions generous. What really stood out were the house-made sodas--especially their root beer, which was delicious--and the house sauces, which were all worth trying. But the most fun and unique part? They have buckets of different kinds of pickles you can sample for free! Such a quirky, memorable touch. All in all, I have no complaints. Everything we tried was good. We continue enjoying Twisted Root and trying different burger options/combos. We'll have to keep coming back for a while in order to try everything they offer. We think their fries are some of the best. Don't pass up the homemade pickles! The dill are my favorite. The ambiance is fun and playful with lots of things to take in as you look around. OK, so I tried twisted roots burgers last night absolutely amazing. Very cute set up. They have outside inside. I'll connect. They have this little area where you can just go in and serve yourself pickles. They have them sweet and spicy, which is my favorite and they're seasoned to perfection you just get those free with your burger how many ever you like is very enjoyable. Twisted Root has a bunch of burgers to choose from. One vegan option, the vegabond, is made with a veggie patty. It is very good- definitely one of the top veggie burgers I have had! You can also add specialty house pickles for free after receiving your order, and there are sauces like BBQ and a house ketchup (which i highly recommend). Delicious burgers and bean burger options available. The fries are terrific. We adore the soda fountain. Such great flavors. Mmmm, the root beer. This location also offers a full bar. Also, we live the pickle bar. Pickles can totally make a sandwich and these do. Such a stand out option. Also, we love the condiments. The chipotle ketchup is my fave!! Our first impression of Twisted Root Burger was FIVE STARS. The first two visits were excellent: fresh hot food, amazing energy, and first-class service. Our last two visits .. ONE STAR! The consistency is not there, and the amazing ambiance does not make up for bad food and bad customer service. This last visit made me angry enough to write this review. We ordered: The Western, Aint No Chicken Club sandwich, and Yes Siree Cobb Salad. $35.00 plus tip! The hamburger was cold and dry, the bun was stale. The chicken sandwich was cold, rubbery, the bacon tasted like it was precooked the day before, and the bun was stale. The cobb salad was nothing like what I've had before... this time they threw salad in a bowl, sprinkled bacon, blue cheese, tomatoes, and two slivers of egg on top like a tossed salad, not in layers like a traditional cobb salad and served the dressing on the side. If you've ever had their cobb salad, you'd know it's never like this, and it's typically a generous portion. Yes, I complained. The manager spoke to me like it was good food, so what's the problem? She asked what was wrong with the salad because it had all the ingredients. I explained what it should "look like." They got out food pictures and talked amongst themselves. The manager said she would fix it and bring it out to me. I said I'd rather have a refund (because I knew what they were going to do). She said no, she would fix the salad. Zero interest in what I wanted. Side note: the traditional cobb salad was important to me for diet reasons. So when I ordered this specific salad, I expected it to be in layers. The manager brought me the salad. She did exactly what I thought she would do! She dumped the first salad and all of its ingredients into another bowl. Mixed in the dressing. Kinda layered it so it looked like the picture. This time there was no avacado slices. I still needed the ingredients to be separate for diet reasons. She did not understand this concept and did not care. The whole experience ruined our night. More importantly, the food quality and customer service are the reasons why we won't go back. Dear Twisted Burger, You've shut down two locations and invested in this new location. If you don't get your quality control fixed, you'll be out of business by the end of this summer!! My friend, fiancé and I went here after a long day. The staff were so nice and playful! The names they use for the buzzers are neat. It's a pretty laid back place with fun artwork, tables with interesting bottle caps, and neon lights on the ceiling. I got the "Gosh Jam It" burger and my goodness! YUM! My friend got a vegan burger and said it was the best burger she's had in a while. My fiancé also enjoyed his burger. The shakes are thick, the burgers are juicy, and it was a great experience. I like Liberty Burger more than Twisted Root but wanted to try b/c of the location. It was raining so I isolated to just the main bldg. Ample parking, decor is fine but at 6PM on a Friday the couple 6 tops were full so we headed up stairs. So hot upstairs! There was a 6 top, two 4 tops and a long banquet table, plus 3 arcade games. We went up and down the 15+ stairs at least 8 times with appetizer order, drinks, entree order, pick up of appetizers, then entrees, refill kids drinks, order more adult drinks. Just to get water refills requires you to belly up to the bar & wait line. Bar tender does acknowledge you and friendly enough but makes you wait while he cleans up, picks up glasses, checks from other custys and clears a few plates and heads to the back. So you wait. Maybe there should be a line for the folks on the second floor. It wasn't the experience I was hoping for...the food wasn't good enough for all the hassle. read more

Maybe I'm hangry and impatient as I'm typing this but i think 30 minutes is excessive to create a cheeseburger. I mean they are amazing cheeseburgers but DAMNNNN. The decor at this location is great. There is plenty of seating inside and out. The parking lot and entrance is located at the back which is a little confusing. They seem to have a lot of delivery service business which ended up delaying our cheese fries order for 40 min. I think it was a one off...so no lost stars for that mishap. It is so much better now that they stopped yelling absurd names over the loud speaker every 2 minutes when orders were ready. They now give you a buzzer when your order is ready. The loaded cheese fries with bacon, jalapeños ($7) was smaller portion than I thought, but that made sense since the price was cheaper than what I'm used to. It's definitely shareable though! There was something that was "missing" and the dish was ok. Maybe that fries themselves were pretty small. The regular cheese fries are $6.25. Service was attentive and didn't take too long. Fantastic addition to the Twisted Root family! The new TR location is fun and different - canopied outdoor patio, two-story indoor space with big balconies. This screams happy hour and weekend hangouts. The decor is typical quirky and fun. We loved the Western Burger and Gosh Jam It burger - of course grabbed the fried pickles as our main side. I've been looking for the best burger in DFW for some time, and decided to give this place a shot because of how many people have been suggesting this place as a top 5 burger in DFW. I was not disappointed, even though I got it to go and it got cool by the time I got home! Now, let me start by saying that the pictures I took of these burgers do it no justice. It was sitting in my car while I brought him home to-go. However, I couldn't believe that even though they got cool, it still tasted as delicious as it did. I got the Big Tex and the All American. Both burgers were cooked a perfect pink, the way I like it, and the toppings all did the Big Tex major justice. The Crispy Onion Rings and Guac made it taste phenomenal. The Classic was my favorite out of the two, since it was pretty basic, but tasted basic to perfection. This place is definitely worth the visit, especially if you're feeling burgers. Probably not my favorite in DFW (at this point I've tried over a hundred), but definitely in the top 10. read more
