I came here one night with my boyfriend and a few friends. the place was decently busy, probably because it was a Saturday night around 1am. We were seated pretty quickly and our order was taken. Everyone else I was with ordered sodas while I ordered an alcoholic beverage that I can't remember the name of. I look well under 21 so I was prepared to be carded and to my surprise I wasn't. When I got my drink I didn't taste any alcoholic at all. We ordered our food and took many 30 minutes to receive our food that we watched sit up and ready for us 20 minutes ago. The waitress was probably the worst part, she had a cocky attitude the whole time and would avoid our table at all cost. The food was great but definitely not worth the price for the portions. When we went to pay my drink said it was some kind of lemonade, which is not what I ordered. We left a very very bad tip and went to our car, my boyfriend could tell I was really ticked that I wasn't carded or asked if i wanted the alcohol version of my drink. So we stood in the parking lot and called the restaurant, we could hear the phone ringing and no one answered it. So my boyfriend hung up and called again, then we saw a man answer the phone, turns out he was the manager. He let him know all the problems we had and the manager offered to mail us gift cards for the amount of our bill and my boyfriend said "well I don't think I'll ever come back but okay" and the manager goes "yeah I thought that would help" he gets my boyfriend's address and everything and hangs up. This was months ago, STILL NO GIFT CARDS. This place needs to be shut down. read more

This is no longer the Smokey Bones we were used to. Before sitting down, I had to get a server to wipe grease off the seat, then ask him to use a dry towel to dry the seat. There was grease on the floor, so I slid down the aisle to the rest room, an accident waiting to happen. I ordered pulled pork, which was dry. What's up with serving the meat without sauce mixed all the way through so the meat can absorb the flavor? I may as well had an ordered a burger and put ketchup on it. The sauce containers on the table were unmarked and covered with grease - yuck! Their idea of hip decor was signs on the wall with obnoxious sayings like "The greatest thing about football is the beer. Next to the cheerleaders" and "If the music is too loud, talk louder". Although this used to be one of our favorite restaurants, we won't be returning any time soon, if ever. read more

So-so chain restaurant. Food is just ok. Service not as good as other restaurants. We walked in and waited while two employees finished their conversation. One then said "I'll be right back". Eventually we were seated. It was around 2pm and the restaurant was empty. It took awhile to get our drinks after ordering. Our appetizer came out at the same time as our food but the app was good. Entree was just ok. The baked potato with pork was a cold and dry baked potato sliced in half with some toppings. Everyone else seemed to like their food. The waitress didn't offer to refill our beverages. As we left, no one said goodbye or come again. My boyfriend and I come here several times a month. Every time Ive been here they struggle to find us a table. The entire front room is empty and the bar section is the only area they want to sit the customers. I told the lady I wanted to sit away from area one else on the front section and she said that section is closed. I told her I'd like to sit away from everyone it was loud as hell at the bar area. She rolled her eyes and looked down at the sitting sheet and I said to her" I understand you were told not to sit anyone there, but I'd like to ask your manager if I can sit there".. She didn't call manager and she just sat us where she wanted to sit us so I said "yea naw I'll have that table over there." She had a stank look on her face. She said they're trying not to make the waiters and waitress walk so far. LoL.."WALK" ?! Lmaoff , are you setious? Walk?! Fuck crying out loud even waiters and waitresses are trying to do the most minimal walking as possible.. It was sooo stupid.It took the waitress about 20 minutes to come over to take our drink orders and also had a stank look on her face. Well sorry chubby we made you walk an extra few feet. Sheesh. Haha. Another time we went there the same thing happened. We went at the same time as the last time. The host gave me a hard time about sitting on the other side again. Who says no to a customer? Dumb idiots. The waiter this time was a very nice gentlemen. He was fast and even chit chat with us for a little bit. Very nice guy. So that made up for the first time. Another thing...why is it that every time we go there's always tables just sitting there waiting to be cleaned. We got there and there was about 7 tables that were dirty with plates and trash on them and by the time we left the same tables were still not cleared. Haha I kind of felt like helping them clear them off ( maybe understaffed ).Haha. Also. Every time I have come here I have to clean my seat. So.... I'm guessing the only important part of cleaning is the table? They wipe the table and throw all the crumbs on the seat. Hello people?! Horrendous service, downright nasty staff that is nice to regulars but rude to anyone they don't know. Bartender was unfriendly from the second we sat down. We ended up walking out after 15 minutes because we didn't want to give money to a place that was so cold. So this review is based only on service, or lack thereof, not food. i normally don't give bad reviews and i almost feel bad doing it, but i kind of have to in this situation. we went here for my father's birthday and i'm pretty sure i have food poisoning now. i am on a diet, so i did some research online for their nutrition info. i plan ahead so i can pick the healthiest option. i ordered the garlic-glazed 7 oz sirloin, broccoli, and mashed potatoes without gravy. the broccoli and mashed potatoes were fine. however, i ordered the steak medium and it came out almost raw. furthermore, the consistency was not even steak-like. it was very rubbery and chewy. nobody else in my family was impressed by their food either. probably never going back here. read more

We use to enjoy this restaurant but have not been here in awhile. Tonight we revisited and it was NOT GOOD PUTTING IT MILDLY! I will start with the positives. The server was attentive, funny, and responsive. NO ISSUE with server. The first thing we noticed however about the restaurant was FLIES everywhere. Not one or two but INFESTED. That is sooooo disgusting and how in this day and age does this go on IN A RESTAURANT? That means what you see out front is worse in the kitchen. Next was the food....I ordered sliced BBQ chicken. It was DRIED OUT BEYOND ANYTHING I HAVE EVER BEEN SERVED IN 40 YEARS. If I had to guess I would say it sat under a hot light for five hours. That was the consistency!!!! My son had brisket... BRISKET WHICH WAS CLAIMED TO BE SUPPOSEDLY SLOW SMOKED FOR 14 HOURS!!!! It was a hunk of inedible meat with ZERO tenderness. Brisket by nature should shred like butter. This meat would not budge! Can I say it again? INEDIBLE!!!! Oddly the broccoli was tasty. How do you manage broccoli BUT NOT YOUR SPECIALTY! My husband had pork tenderloin and said it was ranked between horrible and mediocre. Needless to say we will not be returning. Why would anyone? But I could not in good conscience not warn other families to not waste their hard earned money. Was it a fluke? I'm giving this one star because I had too. Our family came in for dinner, and I do not recommend coming back here. I have worked in a restaurant so I completely understand the high strung environment. The nachos came out with no cheese, buffalo chicken dip is just cut up frozen chicken tenders, and worst of all my brother had come down with food poisoning from the scorcher burger. We got there on a Monday night at 8:30pm, so it was a pretty slow night. Our waitress didn't really have a personality and I could tell she didn't want to be there that night. After we got out drinks ordered she came back with mine incorrect. We began by ordering the baby back ribs with the additional favorites with the extra charge. She definitely let us know that it was an extra charge, but it seemed more out of annoyance, we said we understood that it was extra. Our food was a little dry, but it was decent. I didn't think out drink refill service was adequate. A couple of times at the end she would come back to refill our drink, but she already had her coat on??? Was she smoking and couldn't refill our drinks, or what? I did like the fact that I accidently left my card and she ran out and gave it to me, thank you. I honestly didn't give her that great of a tip because I feel you should earn for your tip. Hey, I know some people make a living off of it, but earn it. Even if you aren't the greatest, try, put on a personality. Make your customers feel like they're welcomed. read more

The restaurant has all the makings to be fantastic but just isn't there yet. i was surprised that the place had been there for 9 yrs bc their mistakes were very avoidable. I ordered a mojito that tasted more like soda water than anything else. Ordered south west egg rolls that were cold. The kids' chicken fingers were over done. The beer my husband ordered was out of stock. The table next to us had the same problems. That being said, their beer list (if it's all available), their food (when it's hot), and service is very good. I have been coming to Smokey Bones for over 10 years. I have to say Tuesday night may have been my last. I have seen this place go from really cool hangout, with "good" franchise BBQ. To what has become an absolute disgrace. Lets start with the menu, its ridiculous. We couldn't find some of the normal staple items that we typically order. So, we attempt to order some new items. Well it turns out the menu was "new" and just put in place the day prior. One of the items listed on the "Pick 2" wasn't even available yet. I decided to then get the beef brisket. Yeah, it was 7pm on a Tuesday and they were out of beef brisket. How do you run out of beef brisket by 7pm, when its not even available till after 4pm. One more thing about the new menu...the price have increased. When I say increased, they increased like my healthcare premiums under the Obama regime. Some items like the Mac-n-cheese entree have increased by as much as 33%. Regardless, the food I did order came out fine. the baked beans sucked and the fries tasted like they had been sitting around for about 45 minutes, but other than that 2 star quality. My girlfriend order a baked potato that was rock hard and had one of those massive black growth things in it. "you know what I mean. if someone had that on their body, they would have to see a dr." In terms of the service...it typically sucks there, so I expect nothing spectacular. especially when the bartender is busy talking with his PBR belching buddies. read more

Only issue we had was another person with us squeezed a bbq sauce onto their plate and the lid came right off all over everything... I called and ordered take-out at this location on December 6th. I was told it would be ready in 20-25 minutes. I arrived a half hour later and it still wasn't ready. After waiting another 20 minutes and inquiring once, the To-Go waitress brought out some food, but had forgotten the BBQ sauces I had asked for. While she was in the back getting them I discovered she had given me the wrong food. At this point it had been an hour since I called in my order. I complained to the manager who's "solution" to make up for this failure was to give me extra BBQ sauce. Needless to say I am gravely disappointed with the poor service, and even more so with the manager's insulting offer of extra BBQ sauce. I spent many years in the restaurant business, and in any other restaurant our food would have been comped. read more

I love Smokeys.... they have an incredible burger here... come to watch some sports and enjoy a bar meal and they never disappoint. Service is always great and food is consistent. My wife orders the brisket and loves it. My oldest always goes with the full BBQ platter... drinks are great and they have some real nice specials... I would rather go here than any of the other chains in the area. Read a couple of the reviews and they are simply IDIOTS - who does to a BBQ place and orders Fish and Chips or a Cobb salad???? Know your place, know their sweet spot and order accordingly.... regarding service, my kids pretty much went to school with the entire staff and they are ALWAYS very nice and work their butts off. If you got poor service you might want to look in the mirror and ask yourself a few questions... start with "Was I a jerk" because I have never had an empty beer mug or water glass sitting at the table or anything but fresh food in the 30+ times I have been there.... my son goes in at least twice a week for lunch and loves the place as well and his service is always outstanding. read more
