eggs, hash browns, and coffee

Nice local place that you'd probably drive past if you didn't know it there. Conveniently located near route 61 between Leesport and Hamburg. When I lived closer I used to drive from Wyomissing to this little gem because I really enjoyed the breakfast, ambience and service that I received. The food is always made to order. There's nothing ready or sitting around. The coffees always piping hot and there's always somebody walking around offering refills. They have a great system and the owner is a genuinely nice guy. If your ever in the area definitely give it a try and you'll be happy you did.

Could use a good cleaning.

It's dirty. We saw a bug crawling up the wall. Food is average. It's just an old dinner. Service is average

We go here often, the food is standard diner faire, the servers are great. I enjoy the stuffed French toast.

Quick in, quick out impromptu lunch. The Saturday before…read moreMother's Day we also spent with Mom. And while driving around decided to stop for lunch on the Kutztown side of town. We stopped at Ozgood's, it was about 12:30pm. It was surprisingly busy for the rainy day & thoughts of those out for celebrations tomorrow. We waited in the corridor for about 10 minutes while two large parties were seated. Then we were sat in a back booth. We did not have a reservation. We were hungry and ordered fairly quickly. For how busy they were we only waited about 20 minutes for food. Our server was nice, quiet but attentive. Never felt like we weren't being checked on. All together- I had the Habanero Bacon Jam Scallops, Mom had the Ozgood's Burger with Sweet Potato Fries, my Hubby ordered the Pot Roast Grilled Cheese with Fries. Hits and Misses in the food. The bacon jam was gooey, without that punch of pepper or bacon as hoped for. And the scallops needed 30 more seconds on the heat. I like raw scallop, so didn't mind it. But for a normal patron's palate these would have been undercooked. Also these were not super fresh. My husband pot roast sandwich was good. The banana peppers gave it pizazz, as well the gravy for the fries- nice touch for a dip. My Mom's burger was ok. And sweet potato fries tasted out of the box. One surprise was this cocktail! Mom and I shared and both loved it!! I did not catch the name- but it had gin and blueberry syrup. Now I need to find blueberry syrup for a cocktail. This was refreshing, punchy and sweet. Upping this review to a 4-star for the quick service and cocktail. Ozgood's has been around for a long time and makes sense why. It's solid, not standout. But worth a visit.

Outstanding experience. (Hope this review makes up for minor squabbles about Gracie's, which I too…read morelove!) Located a bit out of the way in the Flying Hills golf course, but worth the drive. Sports bar- Eagles vibe w/ a decent draft list. The kegs weren't working (seems to happen at every bar we attend these days) but still enjoyed a Mike & Merrill Philly Hazy IPA. Wings a good size, crisp, you know, the way wings used to be before everyone started charging an arm & a leg & serving broken pigeon wings. Classic "Buffalo" sauce & blue cheese dressing were good. FINALLY tried famous Caramel Burger (which I missed several times at the Hamburger festival). It did not disappoint. Good size, flavorful patty, & what these people do best- the bacon jam & caramelized bacon. The sweetness of the onions sings thru. Order it! Husband ordered seasonal special Frikadellen/Bratwurst Smash Burger. Skipping right to it- the cottage fries. (Gracie's/Louie's if you had this all the time we'd have no beef! LOL) INCREDIBLE! Crisp, thin, tender, amazing. If you follow me you know I am over the frozen fries served at every eatery in this country. Finally, amazingly pleasant, genuinely happy, server- Reese. She was on my side throughout this whole foodie journey, even the beer & burger mishap (initially burger served w/o cheese sauce). She's a keeper! We'll be back & will spread the word! Till then, stay on your toes! Thank you Louie's for a great meal.

We found this place because I was looking for somewhere I could get a beer and walk out and around the town of Jim Thorpe (I believe they allow it here). But ended up staying for the vibes and plus we were super hungry. I wish I remembered our waitresses name but I believe she had pink in her hair. She allowed me and my girlfriend to sample some beers that she thought we would like because we were hesitant and what to order. We got the sangria sour beer and the white ale which were perfect for us. We also saw online that everyone loved the smash burger so we had to try it. We added truffle fries for 3 dollars which was so worth it. Some of the best fries we have ever had. Also I think we decided it was the best smash burger we have ever had. We both have never tried bacon jam and we were a bit hesitant about the pimento cheese as well. I think my favorite moment from this trip was sitting at the bar here and eating this meal. Plus the burger lived up to the hype. Thank you to the waitress we had you made our day!
