This is not the former Happy's... the food and service are amazing. The prices are moderate however they have decent portions. I highly recommend it.

This dinner on the corner of 309 and 895 outside New Ringgold is a lovely little spot to grab a bite to eat. The waitstaff was wonderful and attentive. (They get 2 thumbs up). The porch has a beautifu view of the mountains (your a little off the road but the noise is not too bad. The food is perfectly good diner food. Turkey dinner was fresh and the cheese ravioli was pretty good. The homemade rice pudding was a great way to end the meal. Stop by. You'll be plesantly surprised.

Yes they wrote found hair on the bill!

The food I ordered was unrecognizable, I ordered the country fried streak skillet and it came out burnt and dry. Upon inspection it had a hair in it and then I was pressured to pay for drinks and my friend's meal that were uneaten. The woman at the register kept saying aweee to my experience as she proceeded to tell me what I owed. NEVER RETURNING.

This was a cute little diner we stopped at on our way home from NE Pa. We just ate breakfast. I would stop there again.

I am a HUGE breakfast/brunch guy and so whenever I get the chance I hit a new grubbery. Well, this morning we hit WPD - a little diner on Penn Drive. It was my mom, my nephew and myself. There's plenty of parking. The place is clean. The prices are very reasonable. The service was very good!! The server was quick and polite and funny and didn't seem like she hated her job as you often see in many restaurant. The menu is simple - which ain't a bad thing. I will give a positive critique - the omelette's should be cooked a little softer. Mine was well done which isn't the best way to serve an omelette unless asked by the customer. I ordered the... All Meat Omelette and added provolone cheese. I The Pumpkin Pancakes - WOW!!! Yummy. The coffee is without a doubt THE BEST COFFEE I've had in any restaurant in a long time. And I want to add I am a huge coffee drinker as are my mother and my nephew. The ambience is very apropos. Everyone was nice and friendly. I think the cooks came out of the kitchen a few times. It would've been nice had they introduced themselves. We ordered hot links, bacon, hash browns, toast, and of course eggs - scrambled and over easy. All in all it was a very enjoyable experience. This is a no frills kinda place so if you're looking for that in your "wow" - this ain't the place. But, if you're looking for a decent meal at a decent price with friendly service and a clean environment...THIS IS THE PLACE! Happy grubbing!

Besides the staple menu, there was a rotating menu featuring a soup, mussel dish, flatbread, burger, and pasta. The food took some time to come out, and everything was rather bland across the board. The interior was decorated nicely for the holidays though. *Hummus Platter: a huge shareable for $10. The crispy naan resembled the Costco version but fried. The naan itself worked well as a base for the hummus, although the hummus was neither smooth nor flavorful. There was no fragrance from the chickpeas, and it tasted rather unseasoned. The selection of peppers, carrots, and cucumbers was decent. *Garlic Butter Mussels: their monthly mussel dish. The mussels were cooked well and coated in a one dimensional sauce. The sweet wine was cooked down with lots of garlic, while the butter was subtle. I wished there had been a bit more toasted baguette to balance the one pound of seafood. Note there is a 3% credit card surcharge. I could not find this listed on their menu and but I saw the charge on my receipt. I enjoyed the few beers I had, and the food was acceptable for a bar. With some improvement to the flavors, this could be a worthwhile visit for a bite and a drink.

The fries were crispy on the outside but still fluffy on the inside. They were dry service was good not many people in the restaurant for lunch. It was a Tavern type of decor. My only issue was the beer cheese. It tasted too much like beer. The beer flavor was definitely over powering. The other special sauce wasn't great but it wasn't bad either. A typical thousand island type of sauce. But over all it was pretty solid. I would comeback and try something else.

Mike our server, was very friendly, attentive and efficient. He has a great personality and is a single dad and a hard worker. My husband and I have a particular affinity for hard-working servers as we used to be them. We used to be the ones giving up all of our holidays to wait on others, but now we're finally benefitting from the fruits of our efforts and enjoying restaurants on holidays as customers & not servers. We both opted to get the Filet Oscar! First though was The Ststion salad with mandarins, strawberries, slivered almonds on spring mix with mango dressing. We enjoyed it so much. The chunks of sweet highest quality crab meat over perfectly cooked 8 ounce filet, Medium, was as good as it gets. The hollandaise sauce was the best I've ever had- rich, tasty and I could taste the lemon in it too- I loved it! We also got dessert! The towering chocolate cake and cream puff! I cannot wait to enjoy my leftovers! The Station has always done wonderful holidays. Valentines is no exception with tables bedecked with lovely flowers and glittery heart in a mini vase. The restaurant also provided a beautiful long stemmed rose. John and Mel run a great business and we are very happy to support them and this wonderful business. Awesome all around!

Mountainhome Diner has been around for years and is your typical diner with all-day breakfast available. My family and I visited Mountainhome Diner for lunch on a recent trip to the Poconos. It was actually are last morning on our trip and we were looking for a place to grab lunch before making the drive back to Connecticut. We had driven past the diner several times on previous visits to the area, but had never visited before. We decided to give them a try. It seemed like a classic American diner that you could find just about anywhere. There's no website, no social media accounts, just good old-fashioned diner staples. The staff were friendly and accommodating and they seated us at a booth. A go-to dish that my wife and I both like to get at classic diners is a Greek salad, and Mountainhome Diner's "Big Fat Greek Salad" (chopped iceberg lettuce, crumbled feta, olives, tomato, onions, peppers, grape leaves, house Greek vinegar) sounded like it was just what we were looking for. I ordered mine with gyro while my wife ordered hers with chicken. Those salads really hit the spot! For our sons, we looked to the Kids Menu. Our older son had the "Hot Dog with French fries" while our younger son had the "Chicken Fingers with French fries". They were both very happy with their dishes. We had a nice time at Mountainhome Diner and we're happy that we finally stopped in. We recommend them to anyone visiting the area!
