The made to order breakfast is fantastic. This last visit I had carmalized french toast with perfect bacon and a sweet fruit cup. It was wonderfully delish! We stayed in the Lavender Room where the temperature was just right, the bed was so comfy that we slept for nine hours, and there was privacy. This experience was the exact opposite of what I had imagined. Allyson, the innkeeper, made sure our experience was ideal. Our breakfast was nice and relaxing, too. I'm so glad we stayed here:)

Ever since Traci, the daughter took over, I find it extremely consistent and well run. I usually get a piece to take home. All the pies are made from scratch. The pie options change often due availability. So if you have a favorite one in mind, call ahead and ask to have it saved. Since they are owned and operated by a small family, I would suggest checking there hours of operation if you have never been there before. They also post often on Facebook if you want to see more.

The beignets are really good. They now have a cinnamon bun skillet which is great. It looks a little terrifying in the menu because you think it's way bigger than it is, but it's a decent size to split between three or four people, so it makes a great high carb okay, it's a pure carbohydrate appetizer and it's worth it. Typically it's a friendly atmosphere, kitschy ambiance, kids love to play the peg game, comfy rocking chairs outside if you have to wait a while. It's full of controversy over their logo for some stupid reason that I think was actually generated by bots and not real human beings. I'm not upset with logo changes. I enjoy the restaurant. I enjoy the people who work there. I enjoy the people who sit near me at the tables, and I certainly enjoy going there with my family.
