My absolute favorite breakfast/brunch spot in the Muncy/Hughesville, maybe even Williamsport area! It's got a very cute vintage cafe vibe with posters and memorabilia from the past. I'm not sure where to start with the food because every single item I've tried from breakfast to lunch, to smoothies and dessert has been amazing. They use fresh and local ingredients and I'd highly recommend trying a special when they have them. And if you're too full for dessert, do yourself a favor and order one to go like I always do. Im in the area for work today and a few of my "local" friends took me to Kathy's. Kathy's is a great little diner style restaurant on South Main Street in Hughesville with a 80's theme. Movie posters, memorabilia, and lunch boxes adorn the walls. Parking is on street. Get there before the lunch rush or you will be waiting...... We had a great breakfast. Their pancakes are enormous and fluffy. Everything we ordered was perfectly cooked. Their selections are locally sourced, so the eggs and bacon taste fresh. I enjoyed my mixed juice tonic. They have a variety on the menu. My only regret was my tonic seemed so small. I could have downed four or five of the apple, kale, ginger, etc., fresh tonic juice. Our family is blessed to be a regular local patron who has been eating at Kathy's since they opened many years ago. There food is as unique as it is amazing. Probably the best breakfast spot in the (greater) Williamsport area, worth the the trip! The space is small but nice, has a diner feel. Service was very good. They have a ton of options as far as juices/smoothies. The food is great too, both sweet and savory options. Fresh, Fresh, Fresh This place is a hidden gem! Be patient as you will most likely need to wait. As busy as it was the wait staff were super friendly and worked as a team. They didn't seemed phased by the business or the line waiting. They just kept working and doing their best to accommodate their patrons. The food was delicious and as I said, fresh. Today was my first visit to Kathy's Cafe. We waited a short time to be seated. Our waitress was busy, but attentive at first. We placed our order (cheeseburger and two wraps). Other tables around us ordered. Forty-five minutes later the tables around us were served and we were still waiting. We asked our waitress what the hold up was. She said we should have our food in 10 minutes. Ten minutes went by. Twenty minutes went by. We asked her again when our food would be ready. She replied, "I will be out". Again we looked around us and people who came in after us we already finished and checking out. Again we asked where our food was. One plate at a time was delivered. She never come back to see if everything was okay. The wait time was absolutely ridiculous. Ninety minutes for a cheeseburger and two wraps. I'm addition a waitress who obviously didn't want to address the issue why our food wasn't ready, but every single table around us were served and already gone. We won't be back and we definitely won't be recommending this place. read more

Our group of 4 had lunch here Monday after hiking the Falls at Rickett's Glen. All agreed our lunches were great. I had the daily special a SteakSpinach salad. It was excellent! My grandson had the all you can eat chicken & waffles. He gave it 2 thumbs up. The wait staff was friendly and attentive, the restaurant was clean with interesting decor. This place is fantastic. The atmosphere is cool with some boarder line hipster touches. The 50s tabletops to the mid matched seats all add to the charm. The food was great all around. It was hard to choose what to get because so much sounded great. My wife got the scrambler with the velveeta cheese. I got a bite it has a nice meaty taste along with the has browns. We got a special of the egg nog French toast. Not sure why I never thought of that combo before but it's sublime. The eggy milky fast lends it self very well to French toast. I got the sourdough buckwheat pancakes and was warned that they are in fact sour. True to form they certainly were. But with some syrup they hit so many flavor pockets I was super pleased with my choice. They are all you can eat but with the French toast and the chai tea I got I was no going to re-up for more. They had this crazy juice machine too it made me want to order one just to watch it work again. Super great and really inexpensive for the level of food and just in general. read more

I got the turkey avocado burger but made some alterations (habanero cheddar/on rye toast) and didn't feel like it was an inconvenience in any way like I have often felt before. Wonderful breakfast spot on our visit from California! We were pleasantly surprised to get a table for five without a wait on a Saturday morning around 9. Tara was the best server; this was my first time here and she was great at explaining the specials and being patient. We did not feel rushed, and she kept our cups full of coffee or tea. A half scromlet is a good portion; I had half a Sarah Scromlet and a side of bacon, loved the scromlet and the bacon portion was generous and tasty. They have fresh-squeezed juice and my carrot juice was sweet and delicious. Great bread selection, and they had apple butter for the toast. After a long, rainy weekend we wanted nothing more than some calorie-heavy comfort food, and Kathy's Cafe hit the spot in every way. As an unannounced group of five on a busy Sunday afternoon, it was tricky to get us seated, but everyone was perfectly gracious and let us hang around until a table opened up. (Despite the fact that we were definitely grubby.) Tip: Although I don't think they take reservations, they mentioned that next time we have a large-ish group we should call ahead to let them know we're coming, and they would try to keep a table open. As we began to peruse the menu, our waitress told us "The longer you look, the harder it gets to decide." and she was definitely right. They serve an absolute smorgasbord of omelettes, french toast, burgers, milkshakes, smoothies -- all made with fresh, local ingredients. I ended up getting a classic burger and fries, which were delicious. I will admit that I sampled around the table as well, and everything was amazing. It did take a little longer than I expected for our food to come out, but we just grabbed one of their trivia games and had a great time shooting the breeze. read more

We adore this wonderful cafe. They have a fabulous menu with much of the food organic and locally sourced. Some of our favorites are their omelettes which are just amazingly packed with goodies and flavor, the steak salad which is luscious and still relatively healthy, the applewood bacon burger is one of the best we have had--ever, the in season heirloom tomato stuffed with chicken salad (photo above) was to die for. Great spelt breads, love the raisin bread. 7 kinds of pie daily. Smoothies. We have never had a bad meal and the prices are reasonable $8-10. Friendly and efficient service. I no longer will recommend this facility for food. I have regularly purchased omelet breakfasts here. Some have been excellent (at the beginning of the summer) but the last four were half the size and carelessly presented (no jam, no utensils, the small omelet slit open, much less veggies and no cheese (says it contains feta).
