Marlins is a Milton staple. Great food, consistently good quality, great value! A great down home family owned feel.

Silvermoon Restaurant - Deluxe pancake with fruit

Silver Moon Restaurant has reached the point where I get offended if someone says they've never…read morebeen there. First of all... whatever they're doing in that kitchen needs to be studied by science. The food is so consistently good that I'm convinced there's a little grandma hidden in the back whose sole job is smacking anyone who even thinks about using frozen food. Everything tastes homemade, fresh, and exactly the way it did the last time... and the time before that. If they told me they hand-raised the potatoes and personally interviewed the chickens, I'd believe them. The prices are suspiciously reasonable. Every time I get the bill, I feel like I should quietly ask, "Are... are you sure?" while looking around for hidden cameras. The wait staff deserves their own reality show. They're funny, sarcastic, slightly unhinged, and exactly the kind of people you want bringing you pancakes. They're the perfect mix of "Welcome!" and "We're probably going to roast you a little." It's like eating at your favorite cousin's house... if your cousin happened to make incredible food. I came for a quick meal - I stayed because I accidentally got emotionally attached to the staff. If you want overpriced, microwaved food served by someone who'd rather be anywhere else, keep driving. If you want amazing food, great people, and enough laughs to burn off at least three French fries... Silver Moon is the place.

A good cup of coffee served in an outsized mug. A really nice experience after being on the road for a week.

My husband and I were driving back to Baltimore from the Finger Lakes about a week ago and decided…read moreit was the perfect time to check out the Fence Drive In! The Fence Drive In looks charmingly old, and it does have a long history in Milton! It was once a tent restaurant (called "the Breezy Tent") which opened in the 1930s. The owners then built a permanent structure on the site in 1951. After several floods that almost destroyed the building, the owners sold it in 1975. Since then it's been owned by the Rabb family (now run by the second generation), and they've maintained the historical charm of the restaurant. Today, it's still a drive in with car hop service. The restaurant is right on the Susquehanna River, and they have several comfortable picnic tables facing the water with some twinkly lights over them, too. While this looked incredibly charming, we wanted the classic car hop experience for our first visit. So we drove up, parked, and waited just a minute or two for a waitress to come out to our car with a menu. Later, she brought our food out to us on the tray that clips on on to the driver-side window. It's an incredible bit of Americana that is almost gone now, but you can have that vintage experience at the Fence Drive In! Their menu has the classics you expect (burgers, hot dogs, milkshakes) with lots of seafood options as well (fish sandwich, shrimp). We shared a cheeseburger with everything (ketchup, mustard, onion, relish) and their scallop basket (lightly breaded and fried scallops) on top of French fries, with a side of coleslaw. The food was great. The burger was a classic. The scallops were really well fried - the breading was light the scallops got a crisp on the outside but weren't overcooked. The service was friendly and fast. They are a cash only establishment, but that just adds to the retro charm. It's a gem. It's not a just a quick restaurant to grab a bite at; they're preserving an American classic. So stop by the ATM inside if you need to, but definitely stop by The Fence In for a great meal and some nostalgia if you're anywhere near Milton PA.

Great nostalgic little spot!…read more Pull in or go inside their little "hut" of a dining area. Please know they're cash only but they do have an atm. Super cute and clean inside. Sit at the table and someone will come take your order. Not a huge selection but perfect for a lunch with friends or family. It was raining so we couldn't sit at the picnic table to enjoy the river but a great spot. Burgers, hot dogs, hot ham and cheese, fish with hand cut fries and a few soda choices as well as milkshakes! Def check them out. Spent $28 for three platters!
