Pancakes with a side of bacon & a burger with fries
Maddie M.

My husband and I fell in love with this local spot as soon as we walked in. Small town diners are a favorite of ours and this one had plenty of charm! I wish I could give them 50/5 stars! The staff was immediately warm and friendly. We had burgers for breakfast and couldn't believe how good they were. We came by on several occasions within a couple of weeks and everything we tried was a hit and felt like it was homecooked. There's only 4 booths and a counter so beware you might be waiting for seating on a busy day. But I promise you will not be disappointed by this spot.

It was always consistent, family-owned, and the kind of place that brought back great memories with every visit. Since it had been a while since we had moved out of the area, we were craving that signature homemade touch. I ordered the Cheesesteak in the Garden, while my wife chose the Cheeseburger Sub, expecting the same quality we remembered. Unfortunately, this visit was a huge disappointment. I've heard rumors that the restaurant is under new ownership, and whether that's true or not, the food certainly felt different. The sub rolls were flimsy and lacked the fresh, homemade texture that made Giugi's so special. The meats and toppings seemed hastily assembled rather than carefully crafted, and the overall flavor was surprisingly bland. The savory, satisfying taste we had always associated with Giugi's simply wasn't there. On a positive note, the front-of-house staff was friendly, welcoming, and personable. Their service was genuinely appreciated, even if the food didn't live up to expectations. One thing that caught my attention was that the charge on my bank statement appeared under a different business name, which made me wonder if the restaurant has changed ownership. Sadly, this was a very disappointing return visit. Giugi's was once my go-to destination for authentic Italian subs and pizza in Sunbury. Today, it feels more like a reminder of what it used to be than the local institution I remember. Rating: (2/5) I truly hope Giugi's can rediscover the quality and pride that made it a Sunbury favorite for so many years.

It was the Friday before Mother's Day, and we were on a 2-hour wait list at Texas Roadhouse. We…read morewere driving back to the rental when we saw this place. They had immediate seating, and we were hungry, so we stopped. The server was attentive and had a great attitude. The place was noisy, especially sitting next to a family with three small children. It didn't bother me, but some around us were bothered. They had a salad bar with hot food items, salad, and desserts. Hubby was considering it, but he said the hot food looked old and dried out, so he decided to order from the menu. I had the steak (medium-well) and shrimp with onion rings and a Caesar salad with dressing on the side. Hubby had a stuffed steak with a sweet potato and salad bar, and his boss had a filet mignon with a baked potato and salad bar. Hubby decided to try the ham pot pie soup. I was excited to try this too, but when he brought it, it wasn't what I expected. I expected to see a creamy base (like a pot pie). It wasn't. His stuffed steak wasn't stuffed. It was a sirloin (I think) on top of stuffing with brown gravy over the steak. The sweet potato was good. My steak was very well done, no medium at all. The onion ring portion was generous, and the shrimp were delicious. Even though the steak was well-cooked, it was still moist. I usually order med-well so I can heat it later and still have it moist. The boss commented that he needed to go to the kitchen and teach someone how to cook a steak. He did enjoy the sweet tea. Just like Texas sweet tea, he said. They both had dessert from the salad bar and commented that it was okay. There were other things on the menu I wanted to try. If I am in the area again, I will be back.

Here's a firm but fair review that makes it clear the wait wasn't the problem--it was how you were…read moretreated: I normally enjoy coming to Jay Tiffany's, and the service is usually very good. I also understand that the restaurant gets extremely busy, so waiting to be seated was not the issue. Unfortunately, the hostess was unnecessarily rude and dismissive toward us. When she finally approached, she said, "Okay, so what are we doing?" in a very unpleasant tone. After I explained that we were waiting to be seated, she walked away without saying anything, quickly cleared and wiped down a dirty table, and waved us toward it. Because the table was directly beside the register, my friend politely asked whether we could sit at another available table. The hostess responded, "Yeah, I guess," rolled her eyes, and walked away. Her attitude made us feel as though we were an inconvenience simply for asking to be seated. I understand being busy and under pressure, but that does not excuse treating customers disrespectfully. This was especially disappointing because my previous experiences here have been positive. I hope management addresses this because one employee's behavior can really change the entire experience.

They also have some very tasty dessert pies like lemon meringue and pumpkin custard. There are two team members I'd like to give special recognition to: Jayme and Melissa.
