Not far from US 15 north of Liverpool in Meiserville, PA. If you're looking for good, relatively inexpensive meal then stop here. Cool country bar with surprisingly large restaurant and bar with great food and friendly staff. We had a few beers and burgers for around $40. Normal macros with a small selection of cool micros on tap. The further was fantastic it came with fresh cut fries. Pool tables downstairs and a virtual golf upstairs. Very cool. Great food and the service was excellent. The atmosphere is very fantastic gives off a very pleasant relaxing experience.

An out of the way place BUT worth the trip! So cozy inside with a pub and restaurant side with both being smoke free!! This is a renovated 1800s building that served as the main building in town for some time. Servers were very nice and while we waited a few to order they quickly provided drinks which usually makes me able to wait longer. The food was really good! I was happy to see some colorful veggies that were cooked to perfection in this area. The prime rib was really tasty and my husband is quite the prime rib snob. We later had drinks on the pub side. For me I wish they had a larger whiskey selection but they definitely had all the classics and you would not feel as though you were missing anything significant. Overall you should definitely take the rolling hills, scenic road right on over for a great evening. read more

I go to a lot of different bars/restaurants always looking for a better wing spot and this is it. The quality of ckn wings they use is excellent and the homemade extra hot sauce was delicious. Got the pulled pork fries as a app and the pulled pork was amazing as well as the hand cut fries they use. Our bartender/Server Kate was very nice did a excellent job very social and on point overall 10 out of 10. read more

My husband and I took my parents to what we were hoping would be a nice pre-New Year's eve dinner. We were quickly seated and the server took our drink order. She was very accommodating and gave us time to look over the menu and answer our questions. The soup and the bread or excellent as was the BLT sandwich. The fresh-cut fries were cold and unseasoned and my grilled chicken could have been used as a hockey puck. I had to borrow my husband's steak knife to saw through it. My husband's steak was tasteless and undercooked and his baked potato was hard. The boiled haddock was swimming in some watery yellow liquid that was supposed to be a wine sauce. My recommendation is to have dinner elsewhere and enjoy the Inn for the atmosphere and drinks. read more

The staff and Sturgis are fantastic! The crab cakes are wonderful. Loved the baked beans and the hot wings were perfect! Great find off the beaten path. Loved the fact that it was part of history. So there we were, cruising down rt 104 which is about as middle of nowhere as you get in the NE these days - a lovely rural drive that conjures up images of days gone by. Hungry, hoping to come across a place with local color that would be at least passably good and complete the memory. And lo and behold, across from an old red schoolhouse, next to a farm, the Meiserville Inn appears (as an Amish buggy turns ambles by). Perfect! And on the surface it was. Past the outhouse by the door, through the pub with the tipsy, loudly cursing local crew wrapping up happy hour, a lovely little restaurant with a genuine old-time, small town feel. The meal started out great - some decent beers on tap, nice warm freshly baked bread, and a friendly waitress. The menu was what you'd expect at a high-end diner - varied enough for anything from a casual sandwich to a celebration meal. And by and large the food was fine - not great, but fine. The salads were fresh, the fried apps not greasy and pretty tasty, NY strip was a decent cut cooked rare as requested, and the prime rib was a very nice effort - a 2" slab of pretty good quality meat albeit medium to well when rare was requested. Good chicken alfredo. What looked like it would be the highlight were the crab cakes - a pair of massive, fluffy cakes with a sort a battery crust that looked divine. However, one forkful and we had to spit them out - they were just too salty to eat. And that was OK, albeit disappointing because they looked great and everything else was fine. So we sent them back, and being in a hurry asked for whatever they could send out quickly which turned out to be decent steamed shrimp. The waitress was wonderfully friendly and knowledgeable but the food took a looooooooong time to come out and she was nowhere to be found between deliveries or when we needed the check. And when we were finally able to ask for it she said she couldn't bring it because the manager wanted to speak to us. Hmmmmmmm. The manager turned out to be the owner (she said). And when we finally tracked her down, she was rarin for a fight. Over the crab cakes. Because, she said, they serve tons of them and everyone *else* loves them. And so because of that, she wasn't going to comp them - but (magnanimously) she'd give us half off. And she even saved them so we could take them to go. As if we would want indelibly salty crab cakes to go? For what? To use as a salt lick? Maybe the salt shaker fell into ours. Maybe the locals who love them are too drunk to notice (salty snacks do make great bar food!) Honestly, we were pretty happy to find this place and to be perfectly honest I was perfectly happy to pay half price for the inedible crab cakes. But not with the food diva act. Anyway, its still a nice find and I'd probably even go back were I in the area. But its a shame because a little better food and a lot better attitude and this could be a real gem. Our family recently visited the Miserville Inn for dinner. When my daughter-in-law said well that's strike four, I knew I had chosen the wrong place. One of us ordered a pasta dish only to be told they had NO pasta at all in the kitchen. French onion soup was served without even heating it and a shrmip basket was served on a plate with the french fries completely covering the shrimp. My crabby melt was served on rrye bread that was so hard the end broke off. Other seafood dishes were served swimming in a very yellow butter. To top it all off a waitress YELLED at our waitress concerning the other room. Think that makes four strikes? Zero stars read more

A group of us ate here on Friday night and at least half of us were not very happy with the food. It took about an hour to get our food and it wasn't that busy. Everyone who had a baked potato said they were rock hard and not warm. My shrimp was cold also. I've eaten here several times before and enjoyed it but this wasn't a good night. We gave it another try and it was great. The service was awesome and the food was great! The new owner seems to be getting things straightened out. read more

I have been there once and really liked the atmosphere, little expensive for me but I am a single mom. The food was very good as I remember.

Until recently, I would have given them 4 stars. Their menu options are good and reasonably priced. However last week, we had a very bad experience. We waited over an hour for our food. During that time, our waitress didn't ask if our drinks needed to be refreshed. My husband's potatoes were cold and my fish and chips had clearly been sitting out for a while. When I told the waitress, she simply walked away. As a customer service manager, I find this very poor. I must say that they took a beer off of the bill, but that was not sufficient, especially when coupled with the poor service. Unfortunately, we will spend our hard-earned money elsewhere in the future. read more

The Meiserville Inn is a nice looking place. It's to bad you can't eat the decor. My party of six had reservations. When we arrived there was no one to greet us or show us to our reserved table. We were forced to look around on our own to find our seating. That was prob the best part of the evening because things went down hill after that. Our server ......... when she arrived 20 minutes later was pleasant enough. Heck she even managed to take our drink order. But one could tell she wasn't trained. Three of us ordered prime rib (the special of the evening) an hour after ordering our waitress came and said they had no more prime rib. Sad but these things can happen I suppose even in well run establishments (although a table that came in 15 minutes after us GOT prime rib I"m still trying to figure that out). We reordered and in an hour after being left to our own devices for drinks we finally threatened to leave. Miraculously our food was being plated after a two hour wait. We should have left......... the crab cakes had so much filler it was beyond belief. My wifes shrimp were so over done that she needed a serrated knife to cut them. After a wait of that magnitude we were offered nothing. Not an apology or a round of drinks. I didn't expect fine dining but at the prices charged I did expect competence. Needless to say that was sorely lacking. My best advice would be to drive past the Meiserville Inn and find the nearest McDonalds or diner along route 11/15 than to "dine" at Meiserville. You will be happier and the food quality will be better! read more

This establishment has a nice menu, a pleasant atmosphere, and reasonable prices for lunch items such as delicious sandwiches and homemade soup. However, it is unlikely we will return. As I am not a soda or beer drinker, my husband and I ordered water with our meals. It smelled and the first and only sip revealed a horrible taste --sulfur? normally not ones to complain, we definitely had to comment on this to the waitress....when she finally reappeared. Her reply was that they have a problem with the water. We ordered sodas at that point...adding $4 onto the bill. No apology or mention of a water filter or cooler in the works. Fix the water issue by investing in a filter or delivery service such as Culligan, and we will be back when we pass through the area again. read more

Whenever we travel through this area, in the latter part of the week on an afternoon, we always stop for a meal. Open Wednesday's through Sunday, it has great atmosphere, live music, and great food. This time we had the reuben sandwich and the cheeseburger. We started out with homemade chicken corn soup, which was full of chicken. Beers from the bar come served in chilled glasses and mugs, and they have a nice selection of national and craft brands on tap. The reuben arrived piled high with hand cut corned beef right off the brisket, and a plateful of fresh, hand cut fries. The burger came topped with 3 large pieces of bacon, and was done to perfection. I always get the burger - its one of the best I've ever had. As other reviewers have noted, the owner also works the bar and serves, and we had the opportunity to have a wonderful conversation with Alyssa.
