The dill pickle pizza was a huge hit (if that's your thing) and we loved the Mac and cheese. Service was very fast and delightful, we made a lot of customizations and they got all of them correct. The diner vibes were also so fun! Would recommend!

First of all, if you know anything about me... you would know that I was born to be a 50 girl!…read more And boy does this place fit my vibe! The inside is so adorable, and perfectly themed! It feels almost like stepping back in time! I especially enjoyed the music as it just brought the whole experience together. :) The menu had a Myriad of options! So many different burgers, apps, and honestly so many options that I can't even remember them all! I was personally very intrigued by the many different burger options and decided to go with the Burnin' love burger! And it was spectacular!! A perfectly cooked patty coated with a delicious slice of Jack cheese, fresh Jalapenos, hot sauce, salsa and (are you ready for this?) thick fried pickles! I especially enjoyed the homemade burger buns! And are you ready for the kicker.... this burger was only eight dollars! I mean if that isn't incredible, I don't know what is. And it came with a side of potato chips. Doesn't get much better than that price wise I tell ya. I also ordered a basket of French fries, and they were just about perfect! Salty and crispy and absolutely splendid. I wish I had taken some pictures, but I was so hungry and excited that I forgot! After lunch I of course had to get a milkshake! I decided to go with the chocolate cherry one. It had absolutely delectable cherry ice cream and an incredible amount of chocolate and cherry pieces all throughout! My waitress was also spectacular!! She was so sweet, attentive, and friendly! I unfortunately didn't get her name, but she did tell us that she was the owners sister. So, a big thank you to her for further elevating the experience!! I will definitely be back here again soon!! Highly recommend!

There is no reason this place shouldn't have a 5 star rating!!!!…read more My husband and I stopped in on a Friday night - the Friday before valentines at that! We sat at the bar and despite how packed it was, our service & speed of our food and drinks was amazing! We asked for our burger to be split & they even plated it separately! I was disappointed with our most recent visit to The Field…read more We were here in January and had an excellent experience. The service was spot on, the food was cooked perfectly, the burgers were very tasty, the criss-cut sweet potato fries with hot honey and vinegar salt were fantastic, and the shakes were delicious. That first visit was memorable enough that we were excited to come back. This time, we waited about 50 minutes at around 5:30PM on a Thursday before graduation weekend. Honestly, that part was understandable, and we were prepared for a wait. We had a nice booth for five and ordered table fries, a few shakes, and five burgers. The fries were still excellent, and the shakes were great. Unfortunately, the burgers and service did not live up to the previous visit. My burger tasted more like stewed meat than seared beef, almost as if it had been sitting for a while. It was overcooked and under-seasoned. Our server was pleasant enough, but several sides, condiments, and modifiers were forgotten. Waters were never refilled, the table was not cleared, and a salad that had been misordered was not removed from the bill. I understand it was a busy night, but at around $40 per person for food at a burger place, I expected more consistency. I'll give The Field another try the next time I'm in town because our first experience was so good, but this visit was a letdown.

For some reason, I just recently visited this place for the first time and man -- I'm mad I didn't come sooner. I like burgers -- I like them traditional style, smashed, and with various accoutrements. The State has all of that covered. The restaurant is in a cool historic building and they've preserved some of that history while adding updates to give the place a nice and trendy feel. The staff were friendly and super helpful. You order on a piece of paper by selecting the patty type and size, the bun type and a boat load of sauces, toppings and other fixins. Reminds me of the old school way of ordering an MTO at Sheetz (for anyone that gets that reference). Beyond the burger we tried a milk shake, the fresh cut fries and onion rings. My first visit was spectacular. For two of us our bill was under $30 -- which was beyond reasonable. State Burger -- I think you've nailed it and I can't wait to come back!

My wife was looking and looking and then found this place. It sounded interesting enough so we steered off the interstate and came into town. Talk about discovering a hidden gem!
