We stopped by the Gettysburg Company on our way home for a late lunch early dinner, and it did not disappoint once again. If you enjoy a delicious burger, you really need to try this place. It is a very quaint place. This place does get very crowded on a Friday and Saturday night, but it is worth the wait. Their French onion soup is also delicious, as well as, many other items on the menu. They do serve fish dinners on Fridays through the lent season. The service is always good, very friendly and accommodating. We will always return here!

My husband and I stopped by The Gettysburg Company for lunch and had a pretty good experience overall. We shared the mac and cheese bites to start which were definitely the highlight. They were perfectly crispy on the outside and super cheesy on the inside. So good. I had the shrimp Caesar wrap, which was just okay. The shrimp didn't taste as fresh as I'd hoped, but it was still decent. The house-made chips on the side were a nice touch. They were crispy and not oily. Service was good. Our servers were friendly and efficient. We were seated near the window which gave us a cool view of the main street. All in all, a nice place for a casual lunch.

We went here twice during our visit to Gettysburg! Not only because the food is delicious, but they also have a pet friendly patio (with a doggy menu!) and they were able to accommodate our large party inside a few days later. We had the same waitress both times, Jen, and she was fabulous! Very helpful, efficient, and willing to answer questions, make modifications, etc. The rest of the staff (including the host) were also welcoming and friendly. The burgers were great, both the regular 8oz and the double 4oz smashed burgers! We ordered the Munster and the Bacon Cheeseburger. All the ingredients were fresh and flavorful, especially the bacon and bacon jam. However, the showstopper was the pretzel bun! I highly recommend (and you can ask for this with any of their burger). We also tried the French onion soup, which was very nice. Their sweet potato waffle fries were fun to try; they usually come with powdered sugar but we opted to get them without that. We also enjoyed the coleslaw! It was a mayo-based dressing with green cabbage as well as purple cabbage and carrots. Overall, Gettysburger was our favorite restaurant we visited in the area! I love their name, the service was excellent, and I enjoyed their food even more! Definitely check it out!

We decided to have dinner here while exploring Gettysburg, and this was a great decision. Food was amazing! Portions are huge, and to-go boxes were taken with leftovers. The restaurant is casual but quaint. Service was good. If we come back to this area, we will be back to eat here again.

Not a bad ending to our adventure-filled day. See pics for what we had. The only thing not enjoyed was the kid's cheeseburger. Bland and meh. Not pictured was my husband's mushroom and onion cheeseburger wrap. House chips are yum! Shrimp basket was the best. Went on a Sunday night and although there was a wait for our food, it wasn't terrible. Staff were friendly. Metered street parking available. Make sure to have quarters, even on a Sunday. We were told that parking tickets were expensive!

Stopped by for the first time today for lunch. The place is a lot bigger than I thought. They have a huge front "bar area" then dining in the back. They also have seating outside on the side called "The Hideout". Very casual. The menu had a variety to choose from and the staff was very friendly. We ordered cheese curds and a basket of sidewinder fries, also a basket of chicken and fries. The food came out steaming hot! My chicken was so hot I had to wait for it to cool off to pick it up. Everything was very good! It started getting packed right after noon. Very packed! So it's definitely a popular spot. The only parking is on street metered parking unless you find a private lot.

Nice location right in the center of town [Gettysburg PA] After our self-guided tour around the Gettysburg National Military Park we looked for a place to eat locally and found this place in historic downtown. Entrance is on the side of the building. We were greeted immediately as soon as we entered the building and asked if we wanted to sit in the high top table seating and bar area which faced Chambersburg Street or the dining room. We opted for the dining room. The employees and our server were nice and friendly and service was quick. We placed our order for the Mushroom & Swiss Burger which I split with the hubby and he also had a cup of clam chowder. The burger was a huge 8-oz patty served with house chips. Burgers are hand patted and made fresh daily. With the sautéed mushrooms, Swiss cheese, lettuce and tomato it was humongous. The Kaiser roll held good even with the mayo. Gettysburger is traditional pub-style restaurant serving American food. The dining room can accommodate parties from 2 to 10+. Review #3657

The food and the ambiance was good, the staff friendly, but omg the service was so slow. It took f o r e v e r to get our food. My husband ordered the smashed bourbon burger that was amazing! I ordered the cream cheese one with jelly that was okay. My husband said that if I had ordered it smashed would've make a difference. Don't forget to check out the fun t-shirts.

Food is absolutely delicious and the "Elvis Burger" was so amazing. It's only available in Aug., so I was told.

Apple burger at The Gettysburger Company in Gettysburg, PA

This was our first time at The Gettysburger Company in Gettysburg, PA. We tried the following burgers and rate them 4.5/5: -Apple burger -Farmer burger -The Gettysburger - Black & Blue burger *I would give these burgers 5 stars if the burger patties had enough seasoning. The French were excellent and seasoned well. We had great service there's indoor and outdoor seating. We would come back but next time I'll remind them to season my burger patty. Sorry I'm a burger snob. Give them a try maybe you'll like the burger the way it is. Happy Yelping :)

Owners house made wedding cake per Conrad's suggestion

We went back today and Conrad waited on us again! This place doesn't miss, always with new burger features and rotating desserts! Conrad suggested the special smash burger with pineapple, wasabi aioli and ham, Bazinga a home run! He ordered us the Gettysburger but with fried chicken, mind blown! And wait for it, dessert was.....wedding cake! I haven't had cake like this since I was married 36 years ago! Stunning, at a burger joint! The owner makes the desserts, a true pastry chef! Conrad's drink choices were spot on you can't get better service at a 5 star restaurant! And the food? Best around! A true gem in Gettysburg!

This has turned into our go to pit stop driving through Gettysburg. Easy in and out. They mention a 30 min wait since they make everything fresh as a warning. Semi wonder if that's so you buy more starters. Great beer list with local breweries included. Zucchini fries with ranch were good. Loved the breading. Insides a bit mushy. The apple burger is my favorite. Salty from the bacon. Sweet from the apple butter. Don't really notice the apple slices. Sidewinder fries are definitely the way to go side wise. Yummy.

It's clean and dark and warm. I wasn't expecting a Cheers welcome but we weren't even created when we walked in. The hostess was at her stations all the way inside the bottom floor. The hostess was polite when we approached and sat us upstairs per our request. That's where the spell of the place evaporated. We sat about 10-15 minutes before our server made it to us. (The place was not busy outside of the bar down stairs. When she asked us what we wanted to drink my friend ordered I said "I need a second what do you recommend between...." she interrupted and said "I'll be back." It took 20 minutes to come back with his drink (Guinness in a warm beer glass) I asked for water, she didn't acknowledge me and walked away. I tried to get her attention for the next 20 minutes so we could order. She would walk past us. I tried to flag her down again nothing. After about 40 minutes she came back to take our order. We were still hoping to turn the trip around as we were excited about the menu. We ordered the shelpards pie potato skins, a bowl of cream of crab soup, a steak and the bangers stew. By the time our food made it to us we had been sitting almost an hour and a half. The soup was amazing. It was hot it was tasty the crab was forward, I really enjoyed it. The skins were mid. Some were over cooked some were just right. All of them were cold. It seemed like they were pre cooked and frozen to be reheated later. The steak was over cooked and all but flavorless. The potatoes were just wet mashed potatoes. And the beans were equally as bland. Non of it was hot. The bangers stew was... Almost edible. The potatoes. Good, onions and carrots and meat. All tasty on their own. The sauce though was ungodly sweet. So sweet that it made the rest inedible. All in all we were there for almost 2 hours. We were $91 into our tab. By the time the food came, we asked for our ticket and some boxes. We tried a few bites and left. I probably won't ever go back.
