What an awesome brewery! The place is huge, with plenty of seating, but I definitely recommend making a reservation. We tried stopping in once before and they were completely booked for the night. This time we planned ahead, made a reservation, and were seated right away. At the recommendation of our waitress, we all ordered the chicken and waffles special, and every single person loved it. It was absolutely delicious. I also had the Reuben soup and it was very tasty. They also have a wonderful beer selection. I tried the blueberry beer, which was very tasty with a smooth blueberry finish that really stood out. If you're looking for a great brewery with good food, great beer, and a fun atmosphere, I would definitely recommend checking this place out! read more

Been here a few times, both for regular dining and for Galantine in February. Food is good in general. Today I had cheesesteak and fries, which were good. Just not sure about the merinara sauce to go with the fries. Of the beers I tried, my favorite was the Swish (Swedish Fish-inspired sour beer). Service was great- our waitress was very attentive and friendly. For Galantine brunch, the omlett station was my favorite. Least favorite was that the cocktails that we ordered at the bar before the cocktail-making demo was not included with the prepurchased tickets. Second floor of the restaurant has a lot of taxidermy (not my thing, but may be a lot of other people's), and game tables, like pool. Will be back! read more

Great menu variety and the food is usually always fresh, scratch made and delicious. Space is huge, including an upstairs game area, so easy to keep the kids engaged while waiting for your meal ( plus the crayons and coloring pages are a nice touch). Lots of parking too! read more

We went yesterday a little after 4pm once we finished with some antique shopping. We were immediately seated at a counter height table in the bar area, which is what we always prefer. The dining room area reminds me of a Cracker Barrel so we don't like sitting there.. it just seems dated and always full of screaming kids and much older people. Our server was nice and attentive. Who I'm assuming is the manager made his rounds to quickly see how everything was. We started with two beer flights, soup, salad, my boyfriend got a steak, which he really enjoyed. Our bill came to around $150 before tip. The beer wasn't as cold as it should be (the flights were either sitting or the glasses were warm before they were filled) and it honestly wasn't that great. I didn't have one out of the 10 different ones that I thought was great. When we were leaving my boyfriend wanted to get a mix a 6 pack. Who I'm assuming is the male manager checked us out at the front for the 6 pack. I had a brown bag with my leftovers in it. He pointed to my bag and asked if we were paying separately for for it??! What?! We said no, those are our leftovers from the $150 dinner we just finished. It was super weird and really bothered us. We would have given 5 stars bc everything was great up until that encounter. He's just a very awkward person who does not make for a good manager. read more

10/5/25 My husband and I came to Rusty Rail Brewery because he is a big fan of their Fools Gold, so he ordered one and we also shared a flight. I really enjoyed the Juice Monster, it had such a great flavor and was definitely a favorite. Our waitress was very attentive and the overall vibe here was casual and inviting. I also learned that they have a hotel and game room connected to the brewery, which makes it a fun spot to come back to. We sat outside since we had our dog with us and the service was still just as great. We ordered some appetizers along with Caesar salads and the wings really stood out. They are fried in rice oil which gave them a unique taste, and they didn't taste too greasy. Another highlight was that all of their dressings are homemade which made the salads extra fresh and flavorful. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely return. read more

Didn't know what to expect, but we were pleasant surprised. First of all: get the crab rangoon dip! As a group of 3, we destroyed it. It was so good with the big wonton strips that came with it. Our waitress, Carly, was nice enough to send out more strips for the delightful dish. I would return just for the dip. I had a wrap and butternut squash soup that were both so good. My co-diners, my mom and sister, also enjoyed their food and we thought Carly was so sweet and offered great service. We are in Philly but would absolutely return. read more

We FINALLY went for an overnight trip to Rusty Rail! We already knew we enjoyed their beer and have always wanted to go! We started our day at the bar since you can't check in until exactly 3pm! We enjoyed a flight of beer and I had a cocktail, since we weren't going anywhere! The bar staff was very nice and one bartender in particular was very attentive! When we were able to check into our room, we decided to do so - it was to rain and we didn't want to get caught in a rain storm. Our suite was suite 1, at the very end of the hallway (very nice as there was absolutely no noise from outside). We were shocked at how beautiful and CLEAN it was! It's the first room in a long time where we actually wanted to spend time in it. Back down to the bar we went to have more drinks and dinner. We had reservations but decided to stay at the bar because the bartender was beyond friendly! The nice thing about RR is they have not only their own beer, but cocktails and wines. As for dinner, we enjoyed their brisket platter since it was Saturday. We also got a side or fries with beer cheese and chili to share. Their food was very good and worth it to us! We finished the night by going up to their game room. The bartender up there informs us they had $5 beers but we were so full, we just couldn't drink anymore. They have pool tables, shuffleboard, darts, and old school arcade games. We are already looking forward to another trip up in the fall. The only downside in our book was how early the bar/restaurant closes. But it appears the whole town shuts down by 9pm. read more

We've been to Rusty Rail twice. The first time in fall when visiting our son in the area for Family Weekend. It was easier to get a reservation than in Lewisburg. We liked it enough that we recently went again while visiting him over the summer. It's a very nice open space. It looks like there's good outdoor space, but it was 90 degrees when we were there this time. The food is good, bar-type / casual food. I'm picky about wings and I loved theirs. The beer options are solid and we liked one enough to buy a pack to go. They also have some rooms for rent that look really nice, but they were booked for Family Weekend (like most decent options in the area). Maybe some other time. read more

The food was delicious! We got the smokehouse chicken club sandwich with sweet potato fries and the Brisket melt with regular fries. We would order both again. We also enjoyed one of their beer flights. It was nice to sample what they had on tap. Service was great! We had Brittney C and she was on point our entire visit. The environment is probably one of the cooler places I've been to. They did a fantastic job inside and out with decor and bringing the building to life again. The upstairs is the entertainment space where you can hold wedding receptions or larger parties. We will definitely be returning the next time we are in the area. read more

Decided to run up on a whim bc we saw they had a specific beer coming out (sour) and wanted to try it. A good hour plus drive for us. Overall, we enjoyed it. We only had a beer each but no food. We had other plans that we had to get back down home for. Left with a bunch of 4-packs though...a bunch on sale. The beer was tasty and the staff was very friendly. If it wasn't such a drive, we would probably return more often. Next time, hopefully we have more time bc the interior looked pretty cool and we would like to explore. Apparently they have a game room upstairs and a bunch of taxidermy. read more

There are two levels. Main floor has a bar, tables, and stage for live music. The upstairs has another bar, a few games (darts, shuffleboard, etc.) and is where the all-you-can-eat wings on Wednesdays is held. Food is okay, but nothing special. "The devil is in the details...." Isn't it a shame that one detail can ruin your entire experience? Recently, we had a meal at the Rusty Rail. I'm not bringing attention to the over-priced portions, or the taste of the food. What truly bothered me was the attitude of the server. My daughter said, "She took one look at us, judged us, decided we were trash, and treated us accordingly." Honestly, we are "only" local laborers in the community. We work in schools, grocery supply, doctor's offices. But plenty of servers in other establishments treat us with respect and are rewarded generously. The Rusty Rail earns kudos for the ambience, but if you're expecting service with a smile, maybe try McDonald's? read more

Visited here a few years ago & loved it! Was passing thru town and decided to stop in again - loved it! The main reason I sought it out in the first place was the history of the building RR occupies....and they definitely pay homage to it! and if that's not enough - the food is fantastic! We started out with Cheesesteak Spring Rolls - little cigar-like rolls of heaven ;) For the main courses we ordered Chicken Marsala (which contained tasty portobello raviolis) & Oak Barrel Sirloin. Both plates we superb! Sirloin was cooked perfect to my GF's tastes (med. rare) and the Marsala was a 'flavor sensation®' We were there in the late afternoon on a Sunday, but the place was hoppin' - service was great throughout & we weren't left hanging for refills, etc. Am I returning? I sure hope so! read more

Have been to the Rusty Rails before and generally recommend it. Meal this time consisted of Cheesesteak spring rolls (good) as an appetizer with the Meatloaf and garlic potatoes (nothing special, rather bland, only a bit of garlic) along with quiche which might have been the world's smallest piece of quiche surrounded by lettuce to fill up the plate. Service was good and prompt but otherwise a disappointing meal. Best part of the experience was the Golden beer (would recommend). read more

Service was fine - no complaints. But the menu seems to be lacking - at least for non-meat eaters. I ended up with a cup of soup and an appetizer for my meal because they had literally NO Options for a vegetarian or vegan. I was so disappointed. I don't know that I will be back. read more

Pros: good food, absolutely amazing facility and luxury rooms, walking path right outside the place for some morning exercise, adorable little town for some walking, coffee, antiques Cons: unfortunately the beer. The beer is just bad. I hate saying that but it's never appealed to me in cans in PA and we thought maybe on tap at the brewery would be a better selection but there's not one good beer in my opinion. I remember in my early 20s when the craft beer selection really hit the scene and I liked some but now entering my 40s, I just want a good drinkable beer. One good thing though is down the road toward/in Lewisburg there is some great beer. Again, I don't do this review to cause harm, but maybe just focus on a few good beers rather than 15 subpar ones. Also the place closes between 8-9. That's super early! read more

We went to the Rust Rail to celebrate my nephew's birthday. The ambiance of the restaurant was excellent. Having the old time feeling of a railroad station on the outside. The landscaping was beautifully done. They had a patio area with a huge outdoor fireplace with outdoor seating. Unfortunately we did not have the opportunity to sit outside because of the rain. We went early on a Friday 5:15 so there was no wait. The seated us in the area where we can look out to the patio. The server we had was very nice. They were very attentive to our table. Checked up periodically to fill waters and to make sure the food was to our liking. I had the Oak Barrel Steak Salad. The steak was cooked perfectly to the way I liked it and I did not even ask how I liked my steak cooked ( on me). The vegetables in the salad were fresh. We also had the tropical mahi and was delicious as well. They do offer kids menu. Grilled cheese and pizza was ordered. They had options of sides like fresh fruit , French fries. The fries are delicious. They do have a company store where you can purchase shirts candles ornaments and beer. read more

My kids took mom and dad on an expedition on July 11th that involved the local Wild Animal Sanctuary and then we went to the Rusty Rail for lunch. I had a brisket sandwich, wife had a really immense chicken salad. My son had a ruben sandwich and I can't remember what my daughter had. However, all the food was really great and I really did enjoy myself. After lunch my daughter took me to the Rusty Rail store and I bought a nice T-shirt. If you do buy a T-shirt, I want to say, while the shirts are great, wash up nice and feel really comfortable, make sure you buy an upsized shirt. Normally I take a large but I decided on an XL and I am glad I did because after washing the XL fits perfectly. And I got to speak with (I think either the manager or owner) about the music they were playing. They were playing songs from my favorite singer, Bob Seger. I have every Bob Seger song he ever published on either, CD, Cassette Tape (yeah, still got one that works), or vinyl record. Told him he needs to check out the Bob Seger song Little Victories. I actually have a vinyl record with just that song. It is the large 78 version. That was a rare find and I actually found that in Germany in the mid 80's. The song says a lot. Anyway, after speaking with the man, my daughter said I could pick out and mix my own six pack of beer. Let me tell you, Rusty Rail makes some really, really fantastic beer. I would have to say my two faovrites are Wolf King, a stout with coffee & oatmeal and the other is Fool's Gold, Peanut Butter Hefeweizen. Oh my God, those two are absolutely great beers. I should be living in Mifflinburg because I would be making a weekly stop at the Rusty Rail. And for all you ex-military people, the Rusty Rail does give a discount to military. I hope my kids take me to the Rusty Rail again next year. Oh, in case I did not say it. The kids took mom and dad to the Rusty Rail and the Wild Animal Sanctuary as a gift for our birthday's and Mother's Day and Father's Day. It just so happens my wife was born on Mother's Day and I was born the day after Father's Day. The atmosphere of the Rusty Rail is great, it is simply a real nice place to socialize. And as a compliment to the Rusty Rail, I want to add this. When I go out to eat, one of the first things I do is use the restroom. Why? To see how clean the restrooms are. If a venu's restrooms are dirty, find another place because if they can't keep the restrooms clean, then they don't care about your food much either. The restrooms at the Rust Rail were immaculately clean. JUST TO BE CLEAR, THE RESTROOMS AT THE RUSTY RAIL ARE IMMACULATELY CLEAN. Thank You Rusty Rail for a wonderful time with my family. read more

I am speaking as a 40-year experienced wedding photographer. This is the second wedding I have had at the Rusty Rail Brewery. Starting with the positives, the decor, atmosphere, cleanliness, and the endless photo possibilities is outstanding. As a photographer, you won't run out of ideas to use as backgrounds in your wedding portraits. The negative is the way we were treated during the reception. Both I, the DJ, and our assistants were placed by Rusty Rail's Wedding Coordinator together, alone to dine approximately 50+ feet away from the other guests and wedding party who were seated in the reception area. We were placed 2 rooms away from everyone. The DJ had to worry about his equipment while it was playing dinner music. I, as the photographer, had to wonder if I was missing any important photo opportunities while in this room. At other wedding receptions we have done, we would have been seated in the same room and have the opportunity to jump up to grab a quick candid that was noteworthy. Not today. We were separated by two sets of sliding doors and no direct view of the reception. We weren't even close enough to hear what was happening in the reception area. It wasn't the fact that the Rusty Rail didn't have any room to place us, because there was at least a couple hundred square feet of empty space in the reception. A little table in the back of the auditorium would have been acceptable. We aren't asking to be treated like royalty, but we weren't expecting to be treated like lepers segregated from society. This did not happen with the first wedding we had at the Rusty Rail, but it was with a different wedding coordinator today. To be honest, it was humiliating to be placed by the hallway leading to the restrooms. Let me emphasize, never, ever in my 40 years of wedding photography has this ever happened. If this is your policy, you need to rethink the logistics of what a photographer and DJ have to do to satisfy their responsibilities with the Bride and Groom. Both the DJ, myself, and our assistants were hired by the Bride and Groom to do a job. We were not hired by Rusty Rail, and therefore should not have been treated like this. You hampered and jeopardized our ability to do a good job for the bride and groom. I am hoping that you reconsider this policy for future photographers and DJ's. read more

This place is great for dining and trying out different brews. Very large dining area, with bar seatings as well. Flights are available if you want to sample their brew selection. Good menu, mostly handhelds and typical pub offerings. During our night there, they had a live band for entertainment. Also, the staff was very friendly and attentive. They are located somewhat in a rural region in Central PA, so this may not be convenient to visit unless you're in the area. read more

Sometimes you figure "well, I've had the beer, might as well visit the place". And sometimes, you're delightfully surprised but the location! This cavernous, gorgeous, lodge inspired wunderkind of a building is a legit delight to just exist in. We happened upon a day where they had live music, and a properly attentive waitstaff made us feel at home! But, what about the food? Yeah. They got that. The house chili was a proper mix of substance, viscosity and flavor! I don't want my chili to be soup, but I don't want it to be paste either! This delivered, spice, thickness and flavor all great! The sandwich? The buffalo chicken cheesesteak. This was just wow! A healthy helping of buffalo chicken cheesesteak, hot sauce, cheese and fire as banana pepper rings!!! That's a first for me, and heck, I've eaten scorpion! Go here. Buy the foods! read more

I've driven by the billboards on US15 for years, thinking where the heck is that? Since I rarely get to the rural triangle between US 15, US 322 and I80. But I'm working in the area for the next few weeks. Thank you to Amy at the bar for taking care of me Thursday evening! The food was great. Thursday is Taco night. This weeks sampler is shown below and included Mahi, pork belly, and steak. All AWESOME. The sampler was around $20 and was a very large portion. I also had 5 samplers; all ipas. I went to Rusty Rail yesterday with a friend, July 2, and the place was nearly empty, but we waited more than 40 minutes to get our food. When we did get our food, the bacon on the sandwiches was brown, almost black and you could poke an eye out with it. It was so hard. The server still got his tip because he was not at fault. No explanation though as to why it took so long. The meal cost me more than $50 with a tip. It wasn't worth $5. read more
