Been here a few times, both for regular dining and for Galantine in February. Food is good in general. Today I had cheesesteak and fries, which were good. Just not sure about the merinara sauce to go with the fries. Of the beers I tried, my favorite was the Swish (Swedish Fish-inspired sour beer). Service was great- our waitress was very attentive and friendly. For Galantine brunch, the omlett station was my favorite. Least favorite was that the cocktails that we ordered at the bar before the cocktail-making demo was not included with the prepurchased tickets. Second floor of the restaurant has a lot of taxidermy (not my thing, but may be a lot of other people's), and game tables, like pool. Will be back! read more

Didn't know what to expect, but we were pleasant surprised. First of all: get the crab rangoon dip! As a group of 3, we destroyed it. It was so good with the big wonton strips that came with it. Our waitress, Carly, was nice enough to send out more strips for the delightful dish. I would return just for the dip. I had a wrap and butternut squash soup that were both so good. My co-diners, my mom and sister, also enjoyed their food and we thought Carly was so sweet and offered great service. We are in Philly but would absolutely return. read more

10/5/25 My husband and I came to Rusty Rail Brewery because he is a big fan of their Fools Gold, so he ordered one and we also shared a flight. I really enjoyed the Juice Monster, it had such a great flavor and was definitely a favorite. Our waitress was very attentive and the overall vibe here was casual and inviting. I also learned that they have a hotel and game room connected to the brewery, which makes it a fun spot to come back to. We sat outside since we had our dog with us and the service was still just as great. We ordered some appetizers along with Caesar salads and the wings really stood out. They are fried in rice oil which gave them a unique taste, and they didn't taste too greasy. Another highlight was that all of their dressings are homemade which made the salads extra fresh and flavorful. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely return. read more

We FINALLY went for an overnight trip to Rusty Rail! We already knew we enjoyed their beer and have always wanted to go! We started our day at the bar since you can't check in until exactly 3pm! We enjoyed a flight of beer and I had a cocktail, since we weren't going anywhere! The bar staff was very nice and one bartender in particular was very attentive! When we were able to check into our room, we decided to do so - it was to rain and we didn't want to get caught in a rain storm. Our suite was suite 1, at the very end of the hallway (very nice as there was absolutely no noise from outside). We were shocked at how beautiful and CLEAN it was! It's the first room in a long time where we actually wanted to spend time in it. Back down to the bar we went to have more drinks and dinner. We had reservations but decided to stay at the bar because the bartender was beyond friendly! The nice thing about RR is they have not only their own beer, but cocktails and wines. As for dinner, we enjoyed their brisket platter since it was Saturday. We also got a side or fries with beer cheese and chili to share. Their food was very good and worth it to us! We finished the night by going up to their game room. The bartender up there informs us they had $5 beers but we were so full, we just couldn't drink anymore. They have pool tables, shuffleboard, darts, and old school arcade games. We are already looking forward to another trip up in the fall. The only downside in our book was how early the bar/restaurant closes. But it appears the whole town shuts down by 9pm. read more

Have been to the Rusty Rails before and generally recommend it. Meal this time consisted of Cheesesteak spring rolls (good) as an appetizer with the Meatloaf and garlic potatoes (nothing special, rather bland, only a bit of garlic) along with quiche which might have been the world's smallest piece of quiche surrounded by lettuce to fill up the plate. Service was good and prompt but otherwise a disappointing meal. Best part of the experience was the Golden beer (would recommend). read more

We also enjoyed one of their beer flights. It was nice to sample what they had on tap. Service was great! We had Brittney C and she was on point our entire visit. The environment is probably one of the cooler places I've been to. They did a fantastic job inside and out with decor and bringing the building to life again. "The devil is in the details...." Isn't it a shame that one detail can ruin your entire experience? Recently, we had a meal at the Rusty Rail. I'm not bringing attention to the over-priced portions, or the taste of the food. What truly bothered me was the attitude of the server. My daughter said, "She took one look at us, judged us, decided we were trash, and treated us accordingly." Honestly, we are "only" local laborers in the community. We work in schools, grocery supply, doctor's offices. But plenty of servers in other establishments treat us with respect and are rewarded generously. Decided to run up on a whim bc we saw they had a specific beer coming out (sour) and wanted to try it. A good hour plus drive for us. Overall, we enjoyed it. We only had a beer each but no food. We had other plans that we had to get back down home for. Left with a bunch of 4-packs though...a bunch on sale. The beer was tasty and the staff was very friendly. If it wasn't such a drive, we would probably return more often. Next time, hopefully we have more time bc the interior looked pretty cool and we would like to explore. The beer is just bad. I hate saying that but it's never appealed to me in cans in PA and we thought maybe on tap at the brewery would be a better selection but there's not one good beer in my opinion. I remember in my early 20s when the craft beer selection really hit the scene and I liked some but now entering my 40s, I just want a good drinkable beer. One good thing though is down the road toward/in Lewisburg there is some great beer. Again, I don't do this review to cause harm, but maybe just focus on a few good beers rather than 15 subpar ones. Visited here a few years ago & loved it! Was passing thru town and decided to stop in again - loved it! The main reason I sought it out in the first place was the history of the building RR occupies....and they definitely pay homage to it! and if that's not enough - the food is fantastic! We started out with Cheesesteak Spring Rolls - little cigar-like rolls of heaven ;) For the main courses we ordered Chicken Marsala (which contained tasty portobello raviolis) & Oak Barrel Sirloin. Both plates we superb! Sirloin was cooked perfect to my GF's tastes (med. rare) and the Marsala was a 'flavor sensation®' We were there in the late afternoon on a Sunday, but the place was hoppin' - service was great throughout & we weren't left hanging for refills, etc. Am I returning? We went to the Rust Rail to celebrate my nephew's birthday. The ambiance of the restaurant was excellent. Having the old time feeling of a railroad station on the outside. The landscaping was beautifully done. They had a patio area with a huge outdoor fireplace with outdoor seating. Unfortunately we did not have the opportunity to sit outside because of the rain. We went early on a Friday 5:15 so there was no wait. The seated us in the area where we can look out to the patio. The server we had was very nice. They were very attentive to our table. Checked up periodically to fill waters and to make sure the food was to our liking. I had the Oak Barrel Steak Salad. The steak was cooked perfectly to the way I liked it and I did not even ask how I liked my steak cooked ( on me). The vegetables in the salad were fresh. We also had the tropical mahi and was delicious as well. They do offer kids menu. Grilled cheese and pizza was ordered. They had options of sides like fresh fruit , French fries. Allison is the best waitress we've ever had. We frequent there regularly and always request her. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is very friendly. The brisket sandwiches are by far the best. There have been times when we were in town and have went somewhere else with lunch in mind, but then we quickly come to the conclusion we would rather be at the Rail, with Allison, so we have a drink and then leave and head to the Rail instead. I went to Rusty Rail yesterday with a friend, July 2, and the place was nearly empty, but we waited more than 40 minutes to get our food. When we did get our food, the bacon on the sandwiches was brown, almost black and you could poke an eye out with it. It was so hard. The server still got his tip because he was not at fault. No explanation though as to why it took so long. The meal cost me more than $50 with a tip. It wasn't worth $5. read more

This cavernous, gorgeous, lodge inspired wunderkind of a building is a legit delight to just exist in. We happened upon a day where they had live music, and a properly attentive waitstaff made us feel at home! But, what about the food? Yeah. They got that. The house chili was a proper mix of substance, viscosity and flavor! I don't want my chili to be soup, but I don't want it to be paste either! This delivered, spice, thickness and flavor all great! The sandwich? The buffalo chicken cheesesteak. This was just wow! A healthy helping of buffalo chicken cheesesteak, hot sauce, cheese and fire as banana pepper rings!!! The atmosphere is very warm, inviting & historical. Upstairs they have a game room making them very family friendly. The waitstaff was amazing but it was the food that blew me away. The Mahi topped with salsa on a bed of coconut risotto was phenomenal. The Philly cheesesteak egg rolls are very tasty. My grandson loved his bacon cheeseburger & onion rings. I enjoyed their sour beers as well. If we are ever back in this area of Pennsylvania we will definitely make it back here! read more

We were there Friday, June 13th for dinner and a group of 16 people, including 3 young children. Our waitress was friendly, and on top of things. They then added another table of 10 to her, as well as a few other tables not all were in our section. Drink orders from the bar took about a half hour until we received them. Food was another hour or so, our dinner that normally takes about 1.5 to 2 hours was 3 hours long this year. Not sure if the problem was the kitchen staff, or servers or what. No one ever apologized. The table of 10 beside us which included 6 teenaged kids were apologized to for their wait and brought a free appetizer to help with the wait time?? We have been going there before heading to the mountains for the past 5 years, but we won't be returning after this year. Someone needs to figure it out!! read more

Went drove 50 mins from Wmspt on June 5 for a birthday dinner and to see the band. Arrived at 6:30pm. There were only 4 tables of diners in that big room and thought this is great quick service. 30 minutes later no one had come to our table to take a drink order or anything. We watched the waitress on the other side of the room look at us every time she was in the room and never made an attempt to even come over. Note, the other tables already had food when we came in!! No problem there. My friend ordered the 18hr. smoked brisket burger. AMAZING! I would have given 5 stars but my heart was in the mood for a Brewben Panini, which is on their website menu. Enjoyed a visit to this awesome brewery yesterday, and I can't wait to go back! Although the bar and game room are currently closed due to Covid, we enjoyed some awesome brews and a late lunch in the main dining area. I was most impressed with their beer list, with a brew for everyone's liking at the table. I particularly love sours and several current beers catered to my liking. They have seasonal rotations and a selection of seasonal cocktails if beer isn't your thing. Their flight allows you to choose 6 options, so you can't go wrong. The facilities were extremely clean and well cared for. Staff is wearing masks and cleaning tables between guests. Their tables are also spread fairly far apart so you won't feel crowded if you choose to stop in during Covid times. Overall pretty impressed with this must-stop location in the Mifflinburg area. read more

I've driven by the billboards on US15 for years, thinking where the heck is that? Since I rarely get to the rural triangle between US 15, US 322 and I80. But I'm working in the area for the next few weeks. Thank you to Amy at the bar for taking care of me Thursday evening! The food was great. Thursday is Taco night. This weeks sampler is shown below and included Mahi, pork belly, and steak. All AWESOME. The sampler was around $20 and was a very large portion. I also had 5 samplers; all ipas. The Fog Monster and Double Fog Monster were my favorites. But I have many more to try. The place is huge but hours are still somewhat limited due to staff shortages. We came into town on a camping trip, but the weather wasn't great, so it became a weekend of touring local breweries. This place is immense, and really a neat location. The antique railroad vibe was really cool. I'd recommend they add some old model trains to the decor. We were in town for 3 days, and ended up here every day for at least a little while. Their beer was really good, with the Fog Monster IPA being my favorite. My wife loved their raspberry lemonade cocktail. We did have food a couple of times. I wasn't impressed by the nachos (the charro beans were weird), but we split an order of wings and a fish and chips the second night there, and they were both incredible! The bartenders were super friendly, and we just had a great time there. This is going to be a regular stop whenever we come to town. read more

My husband and I were there for dinner on 10-04-25. We had a reservation for 6:00 p.m. After being seated we waited for 20 minutes to be acknowledged. The waitress then said she'd be with us in a few minutes, she had to take another tables order. A table of 8 mind you! We waited another 15 minutes for her to come back. We ordered drinks and food. We received our drinks in 5 or 10 minutes. It was at least 45 minutes until we received our food. We both ordered Caesar Salads. My husband's was completely soggy. He only ate half. They had runners to bring the food to the table. We never saw the waitress until we were almost ready to go. She never asked to fill our drinks or see if the food was okay. The real Kraft thing was...when she gave us the check, I looked it over, which I don't usually do, they add a line in for $2.65 for non cash. All other restaurants have a cash price and credit price. Not here, it's a line item like food and drink. When I brought it to the waitress attention, she said oh do you want that back. How shady of the Rusty Rail!!! read more
