Ahhh where do I begin? Letterman's was a staple for me in college and many other students at Kutztown University. It's been almost 10 years since my last visit so I had to see if it was as good as I remembered or if my drunken taste buds all those years ago got the best of me. We'll, let me say it's just a delicious as I remembered. I mean it's breakfast gem. I've been to many fancy brunches at Instagram worthy restaurants and most of them can't hold a candle to the quality of Letterman's. I ordered what was my favorite meal in college the Deluxe Cheesesteak Omelette (peppers, onions, bacon, steak, and cheddar cheese) and it comes with a side of hash browns and toast. It's still the top 3 omelettes I've had and it's not 3 or 2. Beyond the food being delicious the prices are standard for breakfast. believe nothing is really over $15 but the amount of food you get is massive. There's no way you can eat your entire meal in a single setting. Speaking of settings Letterman's is a VERY small diner. If you snag a table you're going to be a bit more comfy because at the main counter (bar stool seating) you will be elbow to elbow with whomever is next to you. !!!!IMPORTANT!!!! While the food is amazing upon looking at other reviews I decided to take a look at their Facebook page. I'm assuming the owner of the restaurant is in control of these page and is extremely out of touch with the current social and political climate that is affecting Black people in America. I'm not going to call him a racist because I only did a surface level dig but a lot of what he supports is anti Black. While there my experience wasn't bad with him or his staff but I expect that's a front. As much as I love the food I like to be fully transparent in my reviews and I will not be supporting his establishment in the future. There are several all lives matter, support the blue, trump 2020, and posts bashing protesters. Do with it what you want.

    Stuffed Hashbrowns are AMAZING!!!

My husband I tried this place for the first time and we're not disappointed. The food is amazing and everyone was really nice & friendly. My husband and I got the stuffed hashbrowns and it was absolutely amazing. This if definitely our new favorite spot. We will be bringing our kids here next time we're in the area.

I went to Letterman's for breakfast while I was in town for work. Let me start by saying the portions are HUGE! I ordered the combo #5 which. I thought it was going to be a standard, 2 eggs, a slice of toast, some hash with 2 slices of bacon. Boy was I wrong! Food was great, service was good--But beware, PPE and social distance isn't not a thing inside the diner. It's small with a few tables against the wall and bar seating directly across. I sat far away from other customers but the diner quickly filled up, customer came in and sat right next to me on both sides. No one was wearing a mask at the diner either except me so just keep that in mind.

Great place. Stopped here in 2010 on my way to JFK for my trip to Israel. I am having a Kraków omlette.

This is one of the best breakfast books. Kutztown is on the way from HARRISBURG to NYC. I stopped there years ago by chance. Last time I ate there it was just as good as I remembered. Today, on the way to Long Island I have every intention to stop there again.

The food was not good and the service was worse. I highly advise again going here. There are much better places around.

We enjoyed not feeling rushed but still being served in a prompt and courteous manner. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming which sets the stage for a good meal. The food has been consistently very good as well. This was the second time within the span of a month or so we've stopped here. Both times, those in our party selected different menu options and have been pleased with their choices. The portions, prices, and quality are all very good and encourage future visits. While the floors could use some sweeping, the place is otherwise quite nice. Prices do have a service fee attached if you choose to use a credit card/debit card as payment in lieu of cash. They do seem to encourage people to pay via cash and do have an ATM on site. (Which to me defeats the purpose if ATMs have fees attached too...) I would suggest giving this place a try. It is a great option to sit back and enjoy your meal. We were able to comfortably chat without having to compete with noise- the first time there was 6 of us, this time just 2 of us. It is a family friendly atmosphere and I would have no hesitation bringing children.

The owner or manager was on site and he was working the room, making sure guests were all comfortable. I had ham steak with pineapple and it was really good. Something my husband I never had was lettuce with hot bacon dressing. Sounded too good not to ty and glad we did. Husband had the Amish Pot Pie and practically licked the bowl clean. They also serve Breakfast all day which I kept debating. If this wasnt 2 hours away this would be our go to diner

The bartender, Ronny, has great service, fun, inviting, remembers his customers, and always ensures you have what you need. I have tried both their breakfast and lunch and have not been disappointed. For this specific visit, I was here for dinner visiting Ronny and I ordered their Broiled Stuffed Trio. Seafood stuffed Icelandic haddock, mushrooms, and shrimp. The fish was moist and flakey, the shrimp tender, and the mushrooms plump and juicy. The seafood filling they used tasted like a mix between a crabcake and crab dip. There was too much for my taste on the shrimp and mushrooms, so I scraped some off and reserved it to eat later as a snack with ritz crackers. The meal also came with the soup and salad bar where there were a variety of soups to chose from, and everything in the salad bar was fresh and crisp. Currently rated at a 7.2 on my Beli, I enjoy this place for the food and budget friendly meals, but also for the excellent service that Ronny always provides.

The ladies were great about finding out ingredients. I got to meet the owner! He's a great guy, too. Just an overall warm, welcoming, relaxing place. They're close to motels and hotels, so there are people from all over stopping by, and there are lots of regulars who are hooked. You can tell why. You feel like it's another era. I went in with high expectations based on previous reviews of the food, but unfortunately, the experience did not live up to them. The side of hash browns were frozen patties that can easily be purchased at any supermarket, and the "creamed chipped beef" was actually made with ham rather than beef. For the prices charged, the quality was disappointing. I ordered the Country Mix, which was quite tasty, but one good meal out of three is not enough for us to return. Sadly, we will not be back.

The homefries were fresh real potatoes (not frozen), the ham was great and the house sausage was excellent. Our waitress kept the coffee coming and a member of our party ordered fresh cut fries which were also delicious. There were six of us and our bill was $45.
