My Americano was delicious. Loved the flavor. The cup dissolves easily though, so I had coffee leaking a bit, would go again though!

Wow, this is the cutest little coffee shop tucked into Kutztown. The parking is super easy and…read moreshares a lot with a small store beside it. I was greeted by a super sweet guy. You scan the menu from the QR code. There is a TON to pick from. We decided to go with the special Easter flight of 4 different small 4oz drinks. I was so excited to try them. i forgot to snap a photo. Unfortunately, they were out of peanut butter, so I didn't get that one. The guy working made up his own blackberry chocolate it was okay. I would have loved to try the peanut butter. We loved the coconut and caramel, and we weren't a huge fan of butter creme or blackberry creation. All in all, this place was super cozy, super cute, and drinks were yummmmmmmy. I can't wait to go back and try another fun drink and some fun toasts they offer. I'm looking forward too, to trying a cinnamon bun flight they are getting.

Being a huge fan of local I normally go way out of my way to find a local coffee shop when I…read moretravel. I often pass Starbucks and Dunkin' to buy, support and try local. My recent trip to Lyons, PA was no different. Options in this area are extremely limited so I was super excited to see not only a coffee shop but a local coffee roaster too. I found the shop using Waze, zero cars in the parking lot so don't think they are closed. It's kind of a cluttered, small storefront and you can see things are going on in the back. If you follow my reviews you'll know I am an iced coffee snob. If you don't follow me...do it now! I ordered my classic, large iced coffee, black. The gentleman that prepared my drink was very nice. He quickly made my drink and I was on my way. A little about the coffee..holy liquid cocaine Batman... This is the strongest coffee I've had in my life. I had to water this stuff down to a ration of about one part coffee and four parts water. If you're in the area, stop by and buy local.

Fireside Cafe - Look at that creamy bed of slaw. Mmmm!

However, the main reason I find myself continually coming back to Fireside is simply to enjoy the impeccable outdoor furnishings and the creative, cozy nature-inspired interior space. Whether I'm plugging away at work, meeting friends, grabbing a quick bite to eat, or simply having me-time, there's a number of comfortable seating sections to choose from. Check out the pictures below. The service is overall decent; the staff greeting and hospitality can use some improvement, and the staff knowledge should be more consistent. On a more recent trip, I realized I came on a day that Skip's chicken sandwiches were being sold - hooray (available Thurs-Sat only)! This sandwich has been on my bucket list since I started coming to Fireside months ago, and it was surprisingly better than I expected, considering its coffee shop food. I ordered the sandwich with "some heat". The chicken was juicy and perfectly fried with a well-seasoned coating on top of a bed of creamy slaw and thick pickle slices, all on a nicely toasted brioche bun. It came with a sweet-chili-mayo "Comeback" sauce which I asked for on the side. The Comeback sauce was a good accompaniment to the sandwich, but it was missing a little something, and the bun could have been thicker to hold the chicken from sliding out; overall, I highly recommend trying the juicy chicken sandwich from Fireside and checking out the neat spot! Also, try their Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso....better than Starbucks! Cheerrs!

The outdoor space is what drew us here. A must with little kids. I could have a date with my…read morehusband with the kids there. The outdoor ambiance was so relaxing and it was so comfortable. The food was good, but it seemed the staff were confused with orders and the meals seemed small and not as good as other places. What makes this place worth the trip is their outdoor setting. We will definitely come back and give them another try.
