A coworker is a Grind regular, so when we were looking for a place for lunch on our way to the outlets, I figured we'd give it a try. And it was an excellent choice! I had a SmashBurger and it was perfect... the right crunch, perfect amount of cheese, and the BBQ sauce was a nice touch. Hubs had the Grind signature burger. He was also pleased but felt it was a little dry. Our friends had the Grinder w/ chicken meatballs and arrabbiata sauce, the Meatball Bowl w/ beef over squash (said the squash was the best thing ever) w/ bacon Gouda, and the Italian Melt (delicious but rich!). Four of us had fries and they are absolutely the perfect fry - pure potato taste! There was also 2 bowls of loaded baked potato soup and 2 bourbon flights for us! Everything got 2 thumbs up. We had a great experience here! The service was great & quick. Everyone's food was delicious! We had a party of 6, so all food was not pictured, but there were no complaints. We appreciated that there were gluten free options for some of our family members in attendance. We also loved the drink menu -- there were lots to choose from, including specialty cocktails and a full bourbon list. The overall ambiance was rustic and relaxed. This was our first time eating at the grind. The restaurant has a very relaxed modern rustic atmosphere. We started out with the stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer. They were a little different than standard stuffed mushrooms. The mushrooms were in a marinara sauce with mozzarella cheese covering them. They tasted excellent lots of gooey cheese. For the main meal I had the chicken Caesar wrap with French fries. My wife had the Margherita fresco flat bread. Everything was excellent you can tell they use local fresh ingredients in their food. The French fries were exceptionally good probably the best fresh cut fries I ever had. The fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Our waitress did an excellent job checking in on us and keeping our drinks full. The grind also offers a bourbon tasting. We didn't try a flight of bourbon but maybe next time. I will definitely be stopping back in at the grind anytime I'm in the area. If you are ever in the area I would definitely give the grind a try you won't be disappointed! read more

We were going to go to a little place right across the street from the railroad . Someone in our party wanted breakfast. It's TOTALLY worth the few extra steps to The Grind. Nice menu selection. I got the California Chicken. My friend got the BLT. Other friend got strawberry toast and a side of applewood bacon. Choice of sourdough, brioche and wrap. We both got sourdough. Absolutely delicious. Sandwich was really fresh and hearty. The fries were fresh cut and crispy. Our server Vicky was very pleasant and helpful. Attentive and there was never a time when we had to ask for her to come over. The decor is so cute. A very modern rustic. The bathroom was definitely worth visiting. 1/11/25. We went here at our friends suggestion. The menu is very limited and I had a rough time trying to find something that appealed to me. I was torn between the Grind Burger, fried shrimp, and meatballs. The meatball customization options & sauces didn't appeal to me. I settled on the fried shrimp and they were delicious and crispy- very light tasty batter too. They were not greasy. The server told me that these are colossal shrimp and not frozen. She was 100% correct! I opted to switch out the fries for the Mac n cheese. Very delicious! No upcharge on that so I was happy. Our server was knowledgeable - but when she told us the specials- no prices were mentioned. She told us the specialty pasta - lobster ravioli- but again no prices. I thought that was odd. Our server was extremely knowledgeable on the food down to the ingredients and the cocktail menu. The desserts took longer than expected and our server acknowledged that. Something about a kitchen switch over- no biggie. Desserts were good- the chocolate mousse was phenomenal. The portion on the mousse was very generous. This was a true French dense chocolate mousse. I asked about it and the server knew how to answer my question. I've had very disappointing "chocolate mousse" in other restaurants that were a chocolate whipped cream. The Grind's chocolate mousse and my crème brûlée were top notch. I thought the carrot cake looked better than it tasted- the icing wasn't very sweet- I was glad I didn't choose that. Husband liked it though. I don't live in the area and this was only my second time here. Overall-I felt that the menu was expensive plus a lot of entrees seemed to be ala cart. Many items are not priced at all on the menu and have "market price"- I wouldn't bother to even ask. . . The quality of the food was excellent but overall I had a hard time trying to pick an appealing entree that was reasonable in price. The menu is very limited to me. I'm just not used to such fancified high end food. My shrimp was 19$ and I felt that was probably the best priced entree for what you got. I was not disappointed. The restaurant is bright, sleek and clean. I really liked seeing the lounge area. If you like drinks their cocktail list is extensive. Looks like they offer a nice variety of beers too if alcohol is your thing. One thing I thought was tacky was asking guests to tip the kitchen. This was found at the bottom of the menu. This tipping everyone is getting to be a little ridiculous in my opinion. If someone working in the kitchen wants to be tipped then be a server. Was happy to see that they expanded the sides with meatballs to more than just polenta. However, ordered the mushroom bisque from the soup du jour. we were not informed that it had bleu cheese in it, as that isn't a normal ingredient in mushroom soup. It was awful. I want to like this place but I just don't and it's been confirmed each time I try it. Today I went for brunch. coffee was bitter and terrible. Eggs Benedict had overcooked eggs, no runniness to them whatsoever, served over dry brioche with minimal hollandaise, with mediocre sausage patties as the meat. A side of cold, dry breakfast potatoes. Previously went for dinner and had the worst chicken I've ever had, like chewing on a rubber ball. I know other people who think this place is very good. This is an our second time eating here while staying in the area for the weekend. The food is very good. The calamari is easily some of the best I have had in a long time. Their marinara sauce needs a little help but the calamari was so tender and good it really doesn't need it. The lump crab cake wasn't Maryland crap cake food but very good. I had such a great experience when I went last year and I couldn't wait to go back. They specialized in meatballs and half of the menu was dedicated to those offerings but now it's treated as any other option, there's only one choice now. I'm not really sure if they changed management but that was the first red flag. We ordered the poutine; it was perfect last year but we found it a bit salty this time. We also got the cheese board, for whatever reason it was market price which I have never seen, and it was $31?! For that price I was expecting a huge board but it was pretty small compared to $20 boards that are way more aesthetically pleasing. I got the chicken meatball with the mushroom demi-glaze on asparagus and it was good, chicken was tender and seasoned well. I tried the bacon gouda mac and cheese and the sauce was incredible, interesting choice using rigatoni pasta. I also tried the duck entre and I was not a big fan, it was super tough and hard to eat. At the Grind the food is a lot more elevated than you would expect upon first inspection of the place. Things are done with the gourmet flare that you would not expect in such a small town; making Grind a destination with in Boyertown. Although the menu is fairly standard with some exceptions you will find some very unique treasures among their specials. The staff are very attentive and also nice here. I don't think I've had a less than excellent experience here. The restaurant is spacious inside and I have never felt crowded in and there is ample parking in the area. Every time I am in Boyertown I eat at the Grind. I have been quite charmed by Boyertown of late so I make every excuse to get out this way as often as I can. That means that I'll eat at the Grind more often in the future and I hope to see you there enjoying this establishment as well! read more

This place is amazing through and through! Everything we tried was so good, the service was top tier, and the atmosphere is so cozy and cute! They even have a lounge to enjoy drinks and appetizers, along with an area for large parties. This was my family's first time trying this place and we all agree that we can't wait to come back! We had the chicken bacon ranch flatbread to start, meatball bowls as entrees, and the carrot cake for dessert. All three were amazing! I found the farmhouse decor absolutely adorable! However, grind does not fit into just one category. It is a great spot for date night, great for families, great if you want casual fare, and great if you want top-of-the-line gourmet food. The meatballs seem to be their specialty and are really delicious, however, the crabcakes are to die for. And the risotto? It must be the same recipe they used in the movie "Date Night", because it was perfect! I'm actually really mad at anyone who has ever sold me anything and called it a crabcake before. I consider this to be my first crabcake. Oh! And the mussels! So good!! We finished up the evening with a divine chocolate mousse. Admittedly...went to their soft opening and was ok to mention. Last night, my boyfriend and I had dinner (as I am now reminiscing eating my leftovers ), and we had a wonderful time! In food and service. My Hunny being a bourbon drinker thought it so cool to have the flight option. Then to food-- We started with the Asparagus-Prosciutto Cigars. They came out pretty plated and very tasty with the accompanied side sauce. Then we had the Seafood Manicotti and Beef Meatballs alone, with Bacon Gouda Sauce for he. And Shrimp with Risotto and Asparagus for me. One standout was absolutely the app and entrees temperature. PERFECT!!! Literally. Another mention and great taste profile was that they did not go scarce on spice. The risotto had life and spice and complemented the shrimp so well; asparagus perfectly cooked too! The Manicotti did not have a heavy sauce and tasted so much of seafood (confession.....even delicious in our eating the leftovers cold as a midnight snack ). And meatballs were of great cook. Pretty cool spot with a somewhat hipster vibe. We arrived and it was packed, but got cool spot right in the middle of the restaurant. Our server was great, very attentive and fun to talk to. We order basic drinks, vodka sodas, an ipa they had on tap. Everything was standard issue, no complaints on that front. Started off with the stuffed mushrooms, which really hit the spot. Great flavor profile and temperature. The steamed mussels had a flavorful broth, and the mussels were plentiful. We got 4 different meatball bowels in different preparations and they were all really good, but none of them really hit the "great" mark. The portions were a bit lacking on this front and I would recommend maybe 3 bowls for 2 people if you are going the meatball route, just so you really feel like you got the true experience. All in all it was a really good experience and I will be back. I recommend this restaurant for some nice comfort food, you wont be disappointed, but at the same time, it won't knock you socks off. read more

Honestly some of the best food we've had in a long time!!
