Stopped by this little pub after visiting a nearby shrine. Service was a bit slow but the waiter was so nice and accommodating! Prices are more than reasonable - honestly shocked at how affordable everything was for what you get. Stopped in cause my usual place is closed on mondays. Was really full and they made a table for our party of 6. They have a normal menu and I ordered the Blackened chicken Caesar salad and a water. Took a while to get the food, we were behind a huge party and a big party. Food came and was good. Nice piece of chicken over a normal Caesar salad. They came by regularly with tea refills and I asked for more water. No water refill ever came. I'm sure they just forgot Not bad but not great read more

Great place. Was recommended by a friend. Tonight was quiet despite $5 martini menu!!! First, our waitress Sophia was a doll! Very attentive and sweet. We had the pretzel sticks (cheese sauce was AMAZING). French onion soup, stuffed flounder, and broiled mixed seafood. First, I lived in France for many years and my dad is "off the boat" from France. So I rarely like anyone's French Onion Soup. This was delicious. A real homemade soup - no boullion The seafood was delicious. And the chocolate cake was good and moist. Highly recommend this place. Just took my husband out for his birthday. Everything was excellent fast service reasonable drinks and delicious food. I had the seafood combo and my husband had flounder plus we had the cheesecake for dessert which was fabulous! The waitress with red hair was terrific and we will definitely be back. read more

Love this place! The owners are very friendly, food is great! New seasonal menus are a nice addition. We go here a lot and most of my ratings are 5 star. Tonight though, it was less than stellar service. Barmaid, ( possibly new?) Gave my husband prime rib which he ordered but not the 12 oz special. It was much larger and more expensive. She asked me if I wanted chips or fries with my fish tacos, but I got neither. After enjoying a higher alcohol beer by southern tier, I wanted something lower alcohol for my second beer so ordered the neshaminy creek which was 4.5% abv. She gave me saucony creek which was 10%! . So three strikes!! But as I said we usually have great service and it's close by so we will continue to patronize this restaurant. I decided to give this place a try for a birthday dinner after not being in there in a few years. (Not for any bad reason). I cannot have been more pleased with it. The server, a young lady with dark hair & red highlights in the front, (Sorry I forgot her name) was very friendly, nice & came back several times to check on us. I wish I could remember her name to thank her specifically. I ordered the fried chicken parm sandwich. It was very good. Everyone that was with me enjoyed their food. The owner also came by to check on us as well. Prices were average for the area. Overall I would say this place was better than other similar establishments in the area. Mediocre food. Ordered the chicken parm. It was flavorless and not worth eating, scrapped off the cheese and left the rest. We also ordered a cheesesteak, there was no cheese in the cheesesteak? I really hate leaving one star, but I'll lay it all out. Half our food was good, and half was bad. The good: cheese fries app, cheesesteak, and wife's salad. The bad: deep fried pickle appetizer wrapped in bacon had cooked bacon on the outside layer but RAW on the inside layer. My filet tips were very bland, and homemade chicken parm was very dry and over cooked (hint: parm is supposed to be pounded thin then breaded and cooked, not a whole chicken breast breaded and cooked, that's what dries it out). But the real reason we won't be back and why it gets 1 star is because of all the borderline dishonest "upsells". 1)My wife was told it was $5 martini night, and was given 3 vodka options (all top shelf), she chose one and was charged $3 on top of the $5, meaning it was really $8 martini night. 2) waitress asked if we wanted chips or fries with two meals, not mentioning any upcharge, etc. We found out on the bill fries were extra. 3) waitress listed the dressings available for salad, and I only learned when I got the bill blue cheese was an extra charge. Small place, good friendly service, very accommodating. Not real busy, don't know why. It actually has good food. I usually get salmon, wings and burgers. Some platters can be pricy but you can go reasonable. Never had a bad meal there. Only downfall, Parking is a challenge. Not bad if there is no ball game up the street but the lot is small and tight. read more

Ah, the old Main Street Pub... We live a few blocks away, and we've been here a couple of times... I like it just fine, my wife does not care for it and the kids are a split decision as well. The good news is -- it is what you'd expect from a local pub. Decent food, decent beer, TVs, cheap prices, good specials... I like the cheesesteak and burger options. The bad news is -- it is what you'd expect from a local pub. Dark, loud, sometimes has funny smells, parking is a pain... All in all, it's not a bad place. Worth going to -- but the inevitable comparison to the Bally Hotel lingers... and it doesn't really stack up to the Bally Hotel for beer and food selection. BUT the burgers here are better than the Bally Hotel, so there is that... want a good, fast, reasonably priced burger? The Main Street Pub is the place to go! read more

Great find! Steamers were amazing with plenty of melted butter. Chicken fingers are homemade! Would've liked a little bit thinner cut but wouldn't trade for fake chicken.. husband had the special lobster rolls. TWO huge homemade lobster rolls with true New England split rolls buttered and toasted. Mark the owner was so kind! We look forward to returning. Came here after work last Friday and was met by the rudest bartender I have ever encountered. I understand I have never been here before and she was clearly more interested in her friends at the bar, but I was confused how blatantly rude she was for no reason. I was going to grab a sandwich, but decided not to. Maybe she has a problem with men, maybe she's just a miserable person, either way, I will not stop back here. We came on burger night where they have burgers with unlimited toppings and fries for $6. The fries are fresh cut and the burger is huge! The toppings are great choices too. We used to love this place. Not sure if we will ever go there again. The service was good, but the food was far less than what we normally expected. They sat us in a room (alone at our request as it was my birthday). Then they sat a family right next to us with 3 kids. although there was an empty room and another room (not closed) but not being used either due to the amount of guests I assume. The waitress that waited on the other table was obnoxiously LOUD. We could barely hear ourselves talk. I ordered a steak and asked for med/rare. It came out well with no pink and had absolutely no taste at all. My husband got beef tips that were so full of gristle he was unable to eat them. My first drink was great, but the next one seemed to not have the top quality alcohol I had gotten with the first one - how do you even question that with a bar full or people in the next room? Their sign out front advertized having the best corn beef and cabbage in town so I thought that sounded pretty good since it was during the St. Patrick's holiday. Unfortunately I fell for that very misleading statement. The whole meal was very tasteless, but the worst was the corned beef which was thin slices instead of the usual thick slices and it had more fat and grizzle than meat. So the bar advertises that its open until 2am on a Saturday. But it locks it doors before 1am. Why?? Not even sure this is legal. You are a bar why would you not allow anybody in after 1am. My husband had beef tips with sautéed mushrooms and had to spit out gristle. Seating situation, table of 14 elderly men and women. Very loud. And behind us an elderly couple with their little ratty looking DOG. Not a well behaved dog either!!! Isn't this a health code issue!!! Ate at this resturaunt on Friday February 12th during lent as the sign advertised seafood. This was a miserable experience. The stuffed flounder was uncooked and had to send back to finish cooking. It was served with a side which I chose a baked sweet potato. It arrived cold. My husbands entree was shrimp fettuccini Alfredo. It was also cold but worst yet that the shrimp had avery unpleasant taste to them. We sent that back to the kitchen and was replaced by plain fettuccine Alfredo. My husband had a few bites, said it was cold so requested a to go container. Had a bad smell that I immediately was aware of carrying it out. Next day, I opened up container and smelled raunchy. The cream was bad.Threw the container in the trash. This was out first and last visit to this establishment. I give it zero stars. read more

This was one of the worst meals I have ever had! I ordered flounder stuffed with crabmeat. It was served cold and the fish taste was very strong. I also ordered steamed clams. I strongly disagree with the previous review. My family and I have eaten here many times and the food is always excellent. If there ever is any problem, the staff is very accomodating and we always leave happy. I have had the clams and flounder and both were very good.
