My daughter goes to KU and this is next door, her and I like to go to diners and this was our first time there. The owner was extremely nice and offered many substitutions in case you wanted something different eg. sides etc. food was fast, nice clean diner, friendly staff. Soups are also very good! We will be back!

The food was so flavorful my mouth was very happy! The service was friendly attentive, fast timely fashion. Food came out steaming hot, coffee tasted like coffee, everything in this diner should stay exactly the way it is. Home setting and home atmosphere. Will definitely visit again. And make sure you get that scrapple!! Cooked perfect:))

Service was unacceptable. Took 20 minutes from being seated to get drinks. Food ordered was wings (7) in each order of 2 and what was supposedly supposed to be a cobb salad. Cobb salad with no tomatoes, cucumbers, blue cheese crumbles, just a big ole pile of iceberg lettuce with some spinach mixed through topped with rubber like chicken slices and a egg sliced for $13.99. Coffee was not refilled we had to keep asking for everything. Last time here as it's a shame the quality has went down drastically. Nothing like some good ole black wing bones, overpriced lettuce $70 later with no compensate for poor quality foods, and service.

    Down the runway.

I was disappointed that the airport was closed, but that doesn't mean the food here wasn't super good. I got here early as I was going down the street to look at at car. Since I had never been here I asked for a recommendation and was told to get this huge breakfast. This is one of the first times I couldn't finish my meal. It was very yummy and I can't believe I got all this for less than $9. I was very happy with the service, and the bathrooms were even super clean. I would gladly come back.

A good old school roadside diner. Good breakfasts, conveniently located to the farmers market/reningers.

The shop is quaint but not crowded, with some outdoor seating. We decided quickly on an iced latte and an iced chai. I wanted to nibble and my husband took to a breakfast sandwich. Service was quick (10 minutes), but prepared thoughtfully. We bought some sticker merch and enjoyed the cute surroundings as we waited. The drinks were pleasing- not too espresso forward and not too milky. Just tasty and enjoyable. The lemonade macaroon was fun with the gummy peach ring, however didn't have forward flavor. The bite was there, crisp and fluffy and at least not super sweet. A good nibble offering. My husband enjoyed his bacon, egg and cheese bagel sandwich. Fresh, clean and flavorful- especially the Asiago bagel it was on. A little funk to the cheese in that Asiago, which was great! The service staff was kind and actually brought us each item as it was prepared rather than our having to stand near the counter. All and all this will be a happy Welcome to the Neighborhood spot for us!!!

The portions were large and reasonably priced, and tasted very fresh and flavorful. The menu provides multiple options and a nice variety of which will certainly make you want to come back to try something new and different. My one daughter loved the pizza which was made with care and consideration for her allergies. It was larger than she expected and she was able to take half home for another satisfying meal. My other daughter stated she semi-enjoyed the shepherds pie, which had large chunks of beef in it. She liked the texture but felt that the gravy was a bit too much/something was off. She did state she preferred the shepherds pie she got from Hershey Harvest better, but this was still good. I loved my crab cake, broccoli, and onion rings. I thought the food was excellently prepared and flavorful. My only complaint was I got too full and couldn't eat it all. I would certainly order it again. The atmosphere is casual and has an average noise level. I appreciate the spacious dining area which gives ample room for guests to not feel rushed or claustrophobic. It was clean and well maintained. The bathroom was also clean, well maintained, and well stocked. My plan is to certainly return in the future and try some other items on the menu. (There were quite a number of items which caught our eyes and made it difficult to choose.)

The atmosphere, so cute with interesting history. The saloon is a bit small but nice. The bar had approximately 12 seats but they also have four or five high tops in the room. We sat at one of the high tops because the bar was full when we got there. They have a few tv's throughout the bar. The ladies bathroom could use to be updated but it certainly is horrible. The dining room area seemed a little underwhelming. That said there were a lot of people dining so people must like it. My husband and I prefer cozy pub areas. Our bartender greeted us immediately. Even though his bar was full he came right over, said hello, cleaned our table, set the table, and brought our drinks. That was a great start. He was very attentive. If you've read any of my other reviews, you will notice the theme...great service is so super important to me. This place did not disappoint. We ordered Jim Beam and Diets doubles, they were definitely stiff pours which was perfect. My husband ordered the Prime Rib Haus (beef sandwich) with hand cut fries. He cleaned his plate. That said, he said that could've given him more au jus. No problem there, he could've asked for more if he needed it. He also mentioned that he felt the beef had a bit of a frozen taste. The reason he thought that is because they only make prime rib Friday and Saturday. He didn't think he got the fresh prime rib, perhaps it was last weekend's frozen leftover. He would order something different next time. I ordered the Filet Mignon burger. I really enjoyed my burger. The caramelized onions and mushrooms were yummy. The burger was cooked perfectly. The hand cut fries were very good. My only issue was they were called peppercorn Parmesan fries. I assumed they would have peppercorn Parmesan sprinkled on them. They actually had a peppercorn Parmesan dressing drizzled over them. I would get regular fries next time. So...overall we had a very nice experience. We will definitely be back. I would recommend checking them out. Thank you Bowers Hotel for a lovely evening!

Bowers is famous for its hot pepper fest, but the hotel remains true to local Pennsylvania Dutch fare. It's quaint, historic and has the best homemade desserts. After our first meal there my partner asked if I was interested in dessert. I said, I was craving something coconut. He laughed and said they won't have anything like that. Well they had 3, coconut pie, coconut cake and coconut pudding which was delicious and more like cake. That sealed the deal for me, so here we are back again. I started with a cocktail which is rare for me. The Brandy Daisy was delightfully refreshing. I had the special grilled cheese. A spectacular creation starting with brioche, spread with pesto, layered with ham, bacon, cheddar, lettuce and tomato. I declined the egg which would have been too much for me. The house made chips were thick and crisp and seasoned really well. Partner had the schnitzel (I got his salad). The mashed potatoes were oddly brown. But quite delicious as was the veal, I had to taste both. We were fat and happy so we had to take dessert to go. Coconut walnut cake was moist and delicious packed with all the goodies. Buttercream iced 3 layer chocolate reminded me of my Pop Pop's. It was late, there were only 2 other tables so we had all the attention we needed. Starting to notice a growing disparity between cost and quality. This was a fine meal for the price, nearly equal to the one the night before which cost twice as much. So I included the bill
