Hanover eatery has changed. Hours are now open until 3, buy if you go in at 2:30 they say they are closed. Customers are confused. If they are open until 3 then be open, if they want to leave at 3 then they should close earlier instead if greeting customers with we are closed when the signage says differently. I guess we are not important. Very disappointed. Go somewhere that greets you with a smile. read more

It's hard to eat here because it closes at 3 pm, so usually by the time you think of it, it's already closed. I stopped by for breakfast. The parking was pretty full, but I still got a booth to myself inside. I got the western omelette, a coffee, and a side of bacon. Everything was a little smaller than I expected. Acceptable, but the quality seemed just a little more on the "margarine" side of things. The meal came to $13.25. I planned to leave $3 for a tip. Then as I approached the register I mentally raised it to $3.75, to make a round number for the total. When I tapped my card, the lowest tip the machine recommended was $5. We spent 4+ days at the Surestay Best Western last week for our IWAGS Irish Wolfhound annual Specialty. Their Foundry restaurant and NoName bar were closed due to staffing shortages. We took most of our meals at the Hanover Eatery and we were thrilled to have found this place. They have a terrific menu asdortment for breakfast. Lunch and dinner. The food and drinks - coffee! - were delicious and well served and equally well presented. The waitstaff went out of their way to insure everybody had exactly what they ordered and needed to.enjoy their meal. They seemed to genuinely smile and enjoy pleasing their customers. I was pleasantly surprised by this place. They are under new ownership. The new owners did a great job with the interior. The previous owners did not put a lot into the place that looked like a common diner. I'm from California and I come to this area once in a while for work. I had breakfast this morning and ordered the chip beef over toast with potatoes. It was just like the SOS I had in the military. It's was amazing. Came back for dinner. Started with crab stuffed mushrooms, 3 in the order. Good size and very tasty. Had ravioli soup. The serving was small but delicious. My main course was crab stuffed Haddock. A fresh water fish. This came with peas and carrots. I will be in town for 3 days. I will definitely return for more. Price is fare and the portions are just right. read more

My husband and I stopped in for breakfast twice during a recent trip to Bethlehem. That's how much we liked this place! :) Both times, we received super fast, friendly service (even while they were busy) and the food was great. I had french toast the first visit, and it was thick cut and cooked perfectly. The Mediterranean omelet on the second visit also did not disappoint - olives, mozzarella, peppers, yum! My husband enjoyed the pancakes and Monte Cristo sandwich (with the aforementioned yummy French toast). The prices were reasonable too. A real family pleaser! I highly recommend the hamburgers! The burgers are a nice size and really good. We have tried several different ones from the menu, all worth getting again! The fries are good, nothing special but good. Lunch/Dinner- Along with the hamburgers we have tried 2 different wraps, they were both very good, nice size. We also had a couple different Panini's on our visits which were also very good. Breakfast- First let me say, the coffee is very good! We are picky about coffee and theirs was better than most diners. I had eggs benedict, they were good, hash browns were under done. My son had some large breakfast with eggs, scrapple hash browns and pancakes. He was very pleased, and full. I also had a Greek omelet on another visit, it was good, a bit small but good. My hubby had a hamburger...what can I say, they are really good. My daughter wanted a waffle, it was way over priced for what it was and the fruit topping which was extra put the price way over the top. Although she liked it, she won't be getting that again. Staff is always friendly and service is swift. Prices are very reasonable. Lots of options to choose from on the menu, and added perk is that they are BYOB! Only thing that could make it better is if they had cold glasses for beer/wine, usually the cups you get are fresh out of the dishwasher so they warm up your beverage. Consistently good food served quickly, especially for breakfast, however waffles stop at 11:00 am. Greek Salad with chicken is outstanding, worth going just for that! How disappointing...don't know how this place got such great reviews but I could barely give it 2 Stars. Ordered the vegetable stuffed chicken breast and not sure the cook knows how to even use salt. Very very bland and chicken was overcooked. Baked potato was a...very small baked potato. Nothing to write home about. And the Oreo cake...filling was good but the cake itself tasted old and was dry. My friend got hot cakes and said they were pretty good. Servers were very nice! Oh and my plate that the chicken was served on was all chipped on the side....please step up the flavor and buy some new plates! read more
