This diner has been around for 30 years; it looks new because it was remodeled two years ago. Broiled haddock was very good. Veg Barley soup was pretty good and it was served warm. Salad bar had fresh spring mix, red onion, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, bell pepper, and radishes. Coleslaw looked like it was homemade and it was good. Boiled baby carrots were overcooked. I went to the Valley View Diner on my way home to New Jersey and I have to say the food was great, I got breakfast and I ordered a wrap with bacon, egg and cheese that came with home fries. The home fries were crispy and very well cooked, and the wrap was meaty and delicious. I also ordered a coffee which came piping hot and was delicious. The waitress was nice and the service was great, the menu was small and simple and it was a nice change from a large menu with tons of options to pick from. The whole place looked nice and the photos on the wall really matched the aesthetic, overall a great experience. Will definitely be coming back read more

I would have given this a 1 star, but the waitress was very friendly. I saw center cut boneless porkchops on the menu, but was told by the waitress that they were actually bone in chops, which she said were very good. Also ordered cabbage & noodles and baby carrots. The chops were so dry and tasteless that you could have used them for shoe leather. The baby carrots came to the table with no butter ( none on the table either ) just boiled carrots in a small bowl. The hostess came to the table and asked how the food was. I answered, " you really want to know? They had to be the worst chops I ever had!" She had no answer and just walked away. The friend I was with asked me to go with him and was embarrassed by my experience. #1, if they don't carry boneless center cut chops, take them off the menu. #2. If you don't want to know how the food is, don't ask the question! read more

This place has been recently renovated. Same family ownership which they take great pride. Staff were very attentive and food was very good. Went twice for breakfast on a visit to family near by. Everyone had a different omelette and everyone was very satisfied. Would go back again when in area. This is your average joe schmoe diner. A little closer to Nazareth than Bethlehem on 191, it's only about 7 minutes north of 22. I've been stuck in a lunch rut (albeit a very delicious one) and decided to try someplace new. I took a seat at the counter and the owner brought me a menu. One lady took my drink order, and then my waitress stopped by a few minutes later to take my order. I normally start a new diner off with a roasted turkey sandwich but felt like trying something different. I went with the grilled ham & cheese. Now, if you like salt & grease on overload, you'll probably like this sandwich. I'm a butter & salt kind of girl but this was a bit much for me. You want enough butter on the sandwich that it browns up nicely, but you don't want to feel like you have a stick of butter in your stomach afterwards. And the ham was super salty. I ate a little over half before I was worried for my arteries (I like to save my overintake for food I love) and called it a day. It was served with a generous serving of chips & a very crisp pickle (I just LOVE pickles!). Service was fine but a bit cold. This definitely felt like the kind of place that is full of regulars and that I was an "outsider." Not unusual for several diners in the area, but it still drives me nuts. Oh, and they need a bathroom upgrade. Only 1 of the 2 stalls in the ladies' room was working, and it was barely working. 4.62 for the sandwich, chips & pickle + tip. read more

The breakfast is very good and affordable. The coffee is actually really good for a diner. My family always gets good service and good food.

I've been going to Valley View Diner for years and have always been very pleased with the quality and quantity of the food and with the level of service. Most recently was in for dinner with two of my grandchildren, both of which are picky eaters, everyone was happy with everything we had. I would recommend trying out Valley View Diner when you are in the area and looking for a good reasonably priced meal. read more

This is my dad's go-to place when we grab a quick breakfast. The staff is friendly, service quick, food good! This is one of those places where you find the locals, which means it has to be good or they wouldn't keep coming back. The place is clean, not a huge place, but comfortable and quaint. Finally got a chance to go here for breakfast. Packed parking lot but surprised to get seated right away. Host (owner?) had menus in his hand for us right as we walked in the door and wasted not a second in showing us to a table. Service was great and food was great, too. Was hoping they'd be cheaper, but prices were standard. One order - "hungry man's breakfast" = 3 pancakes, 2 eggs, bacon, small OJ AND coffee for $8. Other order - pork roll, egg, and cheese on roll, hash browns, size of bacon AND large OJ. Our bill after tax was $19 and change. For the feast we had, I'd say that was a good price. AND, I asked the owner for change of a larger bill for tip (paid on credit, though) and he was honest and gave me an extra bill back that I accidentally gave him. Thank you!
