My family and I came here and everything was very delicious . You can definitely tell that everything was homemade and very tasty. We waited until there was a booth since there were a lot of us. I decided to get the grilled chicken gyro and the Greek salad it was very delicious. I pretty much ate everything. I didn't have any leftovers. I also got the cup of chicken noodles, and that was really good . My husband got the cup of chili and the cheese burger. My husband said a cup of chili was okay, but the cheeseburger was very delicious. Other than that, I would highly suggest going here and checking them out. read more

A small town establishment with really great food. Never had a bad experience here and the food has always been great! They have a great breakfast menu with Omlettes, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, just to name a few. I always enjoy the Omlettes where my kids stick to the pancakes. Staff is always friendly and service is excellent. Portions are decent and price is right. My coffee cup was filled when empty. What more can you ask for. Not in the mood for breakfast, theynl have tasty lunch menus as well. If you lucky, you can grab a window seat. Pretty sure the river is the Peaquest, There is a small waterfall where the ducks often congregate. Definitely a great place to visit as you are passing through parts of rural New Jersey and almost makes you feel as though you are back in time.. A must stop whenever we are in the area. read more

Traveling through Jersey, looking for a place for lunch. Found Uncle Buck's. The nice Young lady says find a seat. Comes over takes our drink order, the first thing you notice this is filled with local regulars. You step back in time. It's such a wonderful atmosphere, having people talking and asking how the family, as first timers you get the friendly look from all the regulars and everyone goes back to business. Ordered a turkey bacon club and a roast beef club. You again travel back, a fully packed sandwich of roast beef, bacon (perfectly cooked) lettuce and mayonnaise on toasted white bread. The turkey club was just as packed full. Something you don't get in some of the bigger places. Top everything off with a root beer soda and they give you a small bag of chips. Prices were on point. Nothing fancy and to wait for service is not a problem, because I would also spent time with my locals that frequent this place for a good number of years. The food is a hit or a miss, and you never know what you are going to get. Wait time varies of course based on the time of the day/if it's close to a holiday. Most of the waitresses are unpleasant and spend more time talking to customers they know than they do on actually waiting on customers. Prices aren't bad, but again, the food can either be good or bad and you never know what you are going to get. I've ordered several times for take out/pick up and the food has been mediocre and I'm usually missing at least one item. I have tried to give this location multiple chances because it used to be amazing years ago but it clearly is not going to turn around soon. Don't waste your time here! read more

I was looking for a classic New Jersey diner before leaving the state. I decided to try this place and was pleasantly surprised. I ordered one of the daily specials, the chopped sirloin steak with mashed potatoes and gravy, which also came with soup and a drink. Everything tasted great and the service was excellent! Anarchy reigns. No hostess to organize the "line" at the door...people waiting in line for seats were routinely jumped by local latecomers. Okay, I'm an alien in this burg, so I'll keep my mouth shut and wait my turn. Once seated, ordering and service were good, and the food was average diner breakfast quality. Then, waiting at the register to pay, the oblivious counter help ignored one woman who had been waiting to pay for a good five minutes while she chatted with people at the counter. There was a man waiting to pay his tab next, and as soon as she had taken the previous patron's money, she blew right past him to engage in conversation with two women who had blown past us on line earlier and had seated themselves. When she finally got back behind the register and took his money, she ignored me standing in front of her waiting to pay my bill and reached out to take money from the woman she'd just finished gossiping with. That was the last straw. I said, "excuse me if I'm not okay with having someone cut the line on me twice in the same visit. Would you please take my money?" To which she replied, "somebody must be having a bad day!" "No, I was having a nice day before I got here, and I expect I'll continue to have a nice day once I'm out of here." Had a great meal once we found it! A group of us was out riding when someone suggested that we try Uncle Bucks. A small place set on a picturesque street, we were greeted warmly when we walked in. Joy, our waitress was knowledgeable, funny, friendly, and accommodating. Everything here is home made, from the delicious cream of cauliflower soup, to the tasty corn fritter pancakes. I had the chicken Philly sandwich and an order of onion rings. The sandwich was perfectly cooked, with a perfect combination of chicken, cheese, onions, and peppers. My wife had an omelet which she truly enjoyed. I can't wait to go back and try some of the other dishes on the menu! read more

Uncle Buck's Diner reminds me of when I was younger and our parents took us to the diner on the weekend for breakfast or lunch.
