Love this place! All American style food with great quality ice cream and milkshakes. The ice cream cones are big and you get a multiple choice of special cones. 50+ options of milkshakes! The food is all made to order with love, and the staff are hard working. Lots of seating for 2's and 4's with huge windows for natural light. We stumbled upon Humpty Juniors on the way back home from Bushkill falls and had to pull over because it looked so cute. The service was prompt and friendly and you can tell all the food is made with thought and care. I even saw that they put bun stamps on the top of the burgers. All of the foot was delicious! The French fries were hand cut and extremely fresh. We sat outside and ate under shady tree and there were a lot of options to sit including Adirondack chairs with a table in between them. We finished our meal with milkshakes and ice cream and everyone was very satisfied - especially my toddler! Oh - and the price point was amazing! Honestly the best hotdog I've had in a decade. We were in a road trip to the Poconos when our carpool was feeling famished after a bout of traffic. Looking for a quick bite we stumbled upon Humpty Juniors and were glad we did. Great selection of dogs, ice cream and sides. Seriously there's about 40 kinds of shakes to chose from. This place is a hidden gem in an unexpected location; well not hidden, but right on the main road. I walked up to the window and decided on a burger with fries and a milkshake. There are so many ways that one could describe Humpty Juniors. Retro, old school, fast food shack, throwback 50's drive-in without the curb service and tons of others. I like to think of this place as a super friendly, family food palace that has all the things that you are craving. Everytime I go here I feel welcomed like a member of the family. The staff is cheerful without being sugary sweet. The atmosphere gives off summer vibes even in the dead of winter (one of my favorite seasons to go here as it puts me in a good mood regardless of how cold it is out). I feel transported as if I have stepped back in time to a place that makes all the comfort food I love and the bonus is that they do it all really well. Everything tastes very fresh and the flavors (and combination of flavors) evoke nostalgia without being gimmicky. And don't get me started on the ice cream. If you have room left after all the goodies you will want to eat here, treat yourself to any one of the 50+ Shakes, Ice Cream Flavors, Sundaes and more. I've driven by this joint since I was a child and never stopped in, but finally decided to take the detour and my GOODNESS what a great decision that was. I'm a sucker for shakes and fries and man, Humpty Jr does it right. I got a large Black and Tan Shake (salted caramel with chocolate ice cream) and a burger that came with a bag of delicious, hand-cut fries. All of it was so reasonably priced! In the area visiting my kids at camp, saw all the great reviews and thought why not. Walked into this cute retro diner looking restaurant. We ordered at the register from their great board and the food was quickly brought out to our table. My kids enjoyed their buffalo wings and my grass fed burger was good also. Their fries could be better. I don't like them soggy. Also I wasn't asked how I like my burger, so it ended up medium which is not my fave but it was fine. After visiting the Lakota Wolf Reserve today with my Cub Scout pack, we went to Humpty Jr's. We had found it online and it was 15 mins away. We had preordered the food for the scouts and additional family members order at the window. Even though they were busy with our orders and others, the wait wasn't bad. The kids food was already cooking when we got there so they got to eat right away. Nice place to visit with a lot of food choices and many milkshake varieties and flavors. It's like visiting an old fashion drive-up restaurant (sorry, no car-hops). Food was hot and tasty. Portions were good sized and all enjoyed their meal. If I had one thing to say bad is I didn't get exactly what the menu said I should get. I ordered the Jersey Tots. Everything they said comes on it was correct but they didn't put it on tots; they were on curly fries. Still good but not what I ordered or expected. I have said this in past reviews, if you run out of an item and substitute l, you need to tell the customer so they can make that choice! I'm currently on a specific diet and planned my meal by calorie intake based on the items listed in that dish on the menu. Curly fries have more calories than tots for some reason. Although good, crispy tots would have made the meal ideal. If on Rt. 42 in Columbia, NJ, stop here. Yes, Hot Dog Johnny's (a NJ landmark and a must stop) is about 5 miles down the road in Buttzville but is just dogs, fries, birch beer and ice cold buttermilk (yuck!!!) where here you can get about anything you want. read more

Ordered the Humpty Burger and they were nice enough to substitute Onion Rings for the French Fries included with the order. I was the only person outside, a few folks inside, the order came out fast in five minutes. The burger was tasty and not messy although I was expecting lettuce on the burger, it is an add-on for an additional charge. The onion rings were also tasty, I could actually taste the flavor of the batter so the oil in the fryer must have been fresh. So happy that we found this spot! It's the perfect spot to stop in on our way out on Route 80 to Upstate NY. The milkshakes are AMAZING, and there are so many different flavors. I would recommend the fluffer nutter milkshake or the S'mores' milkshake. The red velvet milkshake was a little too sweet for my tastes. The food is yummy too, although I would recommend calling your order ahead because their kitchen does close early (around 7:15). read more
