I had a nice experience when going here the other day. I had mixed emotions because I heard a rumor that it was not so good. Well they were wrong. It was not too busy and very clean. The pancakes were really good. Some of the best I have had in a while. It was nice cozy and very modern looking. The waitress was very courteous and nice. Looking forward to going back soon.

Food was good. Food quality was good. Service was good. Ambiance is amazing. I love how clean and inviting it is. Very sleek and modern. BUT the thing that stops me (and many people that I know) from making this place a regular spot is: it's too expensive. The prices are high to begin with and there's an up charge for almost anything. Most things you would expect to come with fries come with "chips" and you have to pay $3 extra on top of the high prices to get fries. (Also as someone who is extremely critical of French fry quality they weren't even that good. I'm very picky with French fries. It's not that anything was necessarily wrong with them. They were just "battered fries".) If your meal comes with soup and salad and you want to upgrade to French onion it's $3 extra and if you want a Caesar salad it's $2 extra. So if you get a chicken fingers basket for 19.99 and the 2 add ons for $5, that's $25. Travel less than a mile down the highway and there's 2 all you can eat places that range from 14.99-26.99 (depending on day and time) but for arguments sake let's say dinner time. So it would cost 1.99 more to go to an all you can eat. Guess which one I'm going to? The diner is very nice. But I don't wanna pay for your renovation! ‍ Someone had to say it. I'll drive to Easton for the better value. Bottom line: you'll enjoy the food, atmosphere and staff but you won't feel like your buck got you as far as it would anywhere else. I wouldn't mind the elevated prices if this were a fine dining experience but it's not. It's just a diner.

Chicken cordon bleu (leftovers at home) I added the tomatoes!

Food & service both very good. I got the chicken cordon bleu (it's not coated in flour, so a yes for a low carb lifestyle). It comes with side salad & soup - gave the soup (pepper pot) to my granddaughter (again.... Carbs) also came with a side salad was fresh & crispy. I only have a picture of my leftover chicken reheated in the air fryer at home, and I added some tomatoes & broccoli. Just as good reheated! Kids had burger, omelette & we all had a taste of Boston cream cake.... All delicious!

Brand new and renovated inside! Everything inside appeared fresh and clean. My grandma loves this place and they have something for everyone! All of the food was served fresh and piping hot. They have great deals! Their mini dinner meals come with a soup AND a salad. All the staff was friendly and accommodating. Would stop by this place on a future visit to Jersey.

Food was okay, nothing special. Nice new decor and clean inside & out. Service was good and coffee quickly served. Prices were high for what you get. For breakfast two people should expect to pay $30.+

Good diner experience. Good service. The vintage exterior has been maintained nicely.

A very old school diner from the outside. I thought the coffee was very good. My breakfast was really good. The sausage Gray Benedict was full of flavor and completely action packed! My home fries were crisp, as requested. Unfortunately my pancakes were cold. My traveling associate explained to me his sausage gravy with biscuits and eggs was room temperature at best. Service also wasn't impressive. It took a long period of time to simply get coffee. They did seem short staffed. Food was great! Service fell short. I do recommend this place for a very good meal, and hopefully, service can get some help.

Don't order a cheeseburger and fries because it is terrible! They couldn't cook it right , but poor quality. Bad tasting.

I have been coming to this diner for years. I have truly enjoyed coming here when visiting family…read morenearby, quite literally every time we come to town. The past few times we came over the past few years it seemed "off", but this time...I'm just sad. But before I get into the food thing, I want to address the service. We had to wait a few minutes for someone to wait on us at the bar since no one was attending it, but once they knew we were there, they checked on us, and it was good. So please don't get upset, it just may take someone a minute to see you there. The table service was impeccable, seriously wonderful table service...he didn't miss a beat. Now for the food: I suppose it depends on what you order, or maybe it's hit or miss these days? My Pastrami Reuben had super thick slices that were tough, making it hard to chew, and had no flavor. Members of my party had a chicken BLT and a burger, and both were ok flavor-wise, but very dry, making them hard to get through. Just taking a little bite of their sandwiches was enough for me. However, another member had flatbread, and it was fine. Fries were served cold and had zero flavor. We've had the same flavorless and tough food experiences the past few times we have eaten here over the past few years. The presentation is good, but once it hits the lips, mouth, and teeth, you get the real story. The beer is always cold though! The prices are fair, and the atmosphere is unique, although the toy train near the ceiling doesn't seem to be working anymore. Although I didn't get dessert this time, the desserts are normally good. There is more than ample parking, and depending on how you drive here, it can be a little tricky getting to. Follow the GPS if you aren't from around here. This diner is supposed to be the best 24-hour diner, and I'm not sure why. Again, service was wonderful, but if the food isn't always good or flavorful, then why? And for me as a customer, presentation is nice, but I care about the flavor and texture, otherwise...why bother?

I am typically satisfied with every food choice when ordering at Clinton Station Diner…read more Service was excellent, but I was disappointed in the chili con carne. It was very salty, no beans, no tomatoes. My Party Melt, always a hit, was cooked to perfection alongside the fresh-cut, homemade fries. Next time, I'll stick to the favorites that I know I will like. This one-off doesn't stop me from returning to this casual comfort diner.
