My partner had a sausage omelette for lunch, and it was so tasty. I had the chipotle & avocado chicken ciabatta (with tots) and it was the BEST SANDWICH I EVER HAD!!! Husband and stopped by to get breakfast before I was going for a medical procedure. Service was fast and friendly. We both ordered the napoleon dynamite , which is Texas French toast, with layers of fresh strawberries , bananas, and for the sweet tooth, Nutella and drizzled with a berry sauce. Stopped in on a Friday afternoon during a weekend trip after it was recommended by my hotel, and this ended up being an A+ experience. I opted to sit at the bar, and the hostess was great about making sure I was comfortable there before bringing me over. I was taken care of by Andre, who struck that perfect balance--attentive and friendly without being over the top. I ordered a fruity beer (more on the tart side, though I wish I remembered the name!) along with a buffalo chicken wrap (fries included), and both hit the spot. The menu here is extensive, so there's really something for everyone, which makes it easy to see why this place can get busy. One of my favorite parts of the visit was the atmosphere. Wheel of Fortune was on the TV, and every so often one of the cooks would pop out of the kitchen, glance up, and try to solve the puzzle. We didn't interact beyond a quick nod and smile, but it gave the whole place a relaxed, fun, and very human feel. From what I understand, I was there at a good time because there can be a wait (and reservations may be needed), but everything about my visit felt easy and well-paced. Diner 248 is so packed during peak times, I wonder why they don't take reservations. Katie took care of my girlfriend and me after the hostess had placed us in the crowded side of the restaurant because the crew was cleaning the other end before closing. (Overall, the establishment is clean but it's a bit crowded by the bar. The place is well-lit.) Katie is wonderful, fun, and kind and guided us through both food and drink. My girlfriend had a fun, seasonal cocktail and I enjoyed my dirty olive vodka martini with blue cheese stuffed olives. We began with their nachos, which we agreed were some of the best we've had. (We chose to have ours meat free and it was still amazing.) My girlfriend loved her grilled chicken over rice with broccoli. The chicken was tender and delicious and the rice buttery and yummy. I had crab stuffed flounder, which was fantastic even though the flounder was slightly over-cooked. For dessert, we shared the banana cake. Katie was kind enough to give us a corner piece -- which seemed like it could feed five! We loved it and had much for the next day. We will definitely return. read more

Came here very hungry after driving 8hours from Michigan. The chicken parm was excellent fried nicely and a great portion for the price. The side of spaghetti with sauce was very good a solid sauce. My wife and mother n law shared the salmon and crab cakes and they both cleaned their plates. My son really enjoyed his ugly goat burger devoured every bite. The only downside for use was the kids spaghetti and meatballs, the dish lacked sauce but this was easily fixed as I had plenty and gave him some. As good as the meal was overall, the desserts took center stage. The banana cream bread was outstanding reminded me of a carrot cake and banana bread fusion, also of the three desserts we ordered the biggest portion by far. The chocolate peanut butter pie was very good although the waitress said of the three we ordered that was the only one not made in house. The warm berry compote was very good as well you can not go wrong with any of these three desserts. The service was very good and would definitely frequent this place if I was a local. read more

Love this diner. It is your typical diner that you would expect to find in Pennsylvania/New Jersey. Large on the inside and still lots of people wanting to get in. This place is hopping! Been here twice now and both times my food was great. This most recent time I had the salmon with salad. The salmon was seasoned and cooked perfectly. I really enjoyed the salad which actually had veggies on it. So hard to find these days! It had tomatoes, cucumbers, and carrots. Service was great. Food was delivered fast. Our server checked in on us without being annoying. Will happily eat here again. read more

Can't give it 5 but definitely more then 4. This is a diner. This is not a fancy place to eat but it is very very busy especially on Saturday morning, so use Yelp to get on the waiting list. It helps. Fare is typical American diner with eggs, sausage, and potatoes for breakfast and burgers and sandwiches for lunch but don't bash it 'til you try it. I can't say that food was 3* Michelin presentation but it was tasty and if my daughter cleans her plate I'd say that it is a place one might want to visit given a chance. Service was excellent too and given how busy the place was (I mean waiting list for a diner. That was the 1st for me) I can see why it gets the reviews it gets. Also I would highly recommend French Onion Soup, not exactly diner but damn good! read more

I came back to Diner 248 and this time, I really enjoyed my meal! I ordered the wings and bacon cheddar fries and it was an easy 10/10. The wings were flavorful and cooked just right, and the fries were loaded--crispy, cheesy, and just the right amount of indulgent. The service was great once again--friendly and attentive, which definitely added to the experience. This visit sealed the deal for me. Local high quality diner. Interior is what you'd expect for a diner and well maintained. Breakfast omelettes are very good. Dinner entrees are also very good, especially the salmon which has been cooked perfectly 3 out of 4 times and even the 4th time was only slightly overcooked. Beet salad is also very good and the wings were excellent. Servers have always been super nice and properly attentive. Finally the beer menu has a great selection of local microbrews and the martinis are always well made. Prices are high than you'd expect for a diner but for the quality it's good. read more

My husband and I went last night for date night. We had a nice server, Katy. We ordered wings for the first time and they were so good (chipotle ranch) and both of us got dinner meals. Was there with my family for a birthday party about a month ago. The waitress we had was Shania i believe. I'm a person who enjoys a good time. So when I was joking with this waitress. My daughter later was informing that it seemed to her she was being unprofessional with her attitude to me. After a a few drinks and some explicit instructions to her on paying my drink tab separately from the diner party. I gave this waitress (Shania) a $20 tip. You know what this snotty little twat didn't even say thank you. I purposely gave her that tip to see if she was going to show some gratitude or even be appreciative of it. Well as you all can see if she would've said those two simple words of gratitude "THANK YOU"! I wouldn't be writing this. I'd suggest she needs some retraining or maybe just a different line of work. read more

I love this place, and have been here many times. Always had good service and the food is amazing. Only complaints I have is this last time I was there 2 days ago, me and my sister felt completely rushed by our waitress. Every time she came over, it's like she was trying to get away as fast as possible. We asked for boxes and they never came. And then she didn't ask us if we even wanted dessert, she just handed over the check. Weird experience but I will still definitely be back! read more

The restaurant was nice, home feel. Bunches of youth as staff. Seated quickly and drink order was fast. Our orders were Boar's Head French drip with fries and Chicken/Broccoli Alfredo Pasta. Decided to grab food before we hit the road, picked a spot where they have a little of everything, a diner. I got a turkey club, it was good! They used regular sandwich turkey and I got a side of fries. My friend got a tuna club and they enjoyed it, tuna is a hit or miss type of food. I recommend !! Everything could improve. The food was served cool. That was for two hot entrees'. They do not include soup or salad with meals. That is highly unusual for a diner, typically you get both. I had a small child portion of Broccoli with my "meal". All of the food was cool, sent back to warm it, came back Luke warm. We dine out 3-5 times a week all over the greater Easton area. Years ago we had been disappointed with 248 Diner and so thought we'd try again now. SO disappointing. No comparison to Nazareth Diner or Key City Diner. With so many good options in the region, this will not be a repeat. For those maybe wanting a burger maybe it's fine. We won't try again for anything tho. For those with a more discerning palette , this would not be a good choice. read more

i have always rated 248 at 5 stars, however, big mistake taking the pork chops off the menu. also, pepper pot is awful. you do not use green peppers as ingredient. it is called pepper pot because the "pepper" is black pepper. the chef should know that. you lost a star. read more

We stopped in early Friday evening and the place was already incredibly busy. Despite most tables having guests, the waitress didn't seem rushed and food came out quickly. We had the Alice fries and the chicken croquettes. The fries were amazing and had so much cheese! The chicken croquettes were tasty and hit the spot since nobody serves them where we live. If we are in the area again, I'd go for a burger because they looked great. The inside doesn't have the traditional diner feel to it. We've had some really good soup here like chicken with wild rice & mushroom, chicken & orzo, Maryland seafood chowder, and stuffed pepper soups were all very good. We've also had cajun chicken soup, chicken fajita soup, pepper pot soup and corn chowder. Brother liked french onion soup, which was nicely browned. We both enjoyed salad with housemade balsamic vinaigrette. Housemade crab cakes were browned and they were good. They were served with broccoli & housemade mashed potatoes, which were both very good. Grilled marinated chicken breast was nicely charred, giving it really good flavor. Rice that came with chicken was good. Meal came with a little chutney, which was sweet and gave good flavor to broccoli and rice. Steamed broccoli had vibrant green color. LWe also had Mexican favorites like chicken quesadilla, Mexican rice and black beans. Bang bang shrimp tacos contained nicely grilled shrimp, jalapeno slaw, avocado and spicy bang bang sauce. Have to get more of those next time. Grilled chicken breast with honey mustard sauce was also very good. Brother enjoyed Lone Star Chicken meal. Crispy Chicken Melt sandwich contained fried chicken. I'll start off by saying Kevin K is a phenomenal server! (Now that we have addressed that) We have driven by Diner 248 multiple times on our way to Wegman's and Target and always see the parking lot packed! We were lucky enough to squeeze in when it wasn't so packed last night! My wife was really in the mood for chocolate chip pancakes, I don't question it I just try to solve it! We were promptly seated and wowed at how nice the inside and how much space there is! {Sad news for my wife was that they didn't serve breakfast items at dinner just dinner! } Kevin came over as if he knew we were already ready! We ordered our drinks and put in an order of the appetizer of the Mozzarella Sticks. My wife ordered the Shrimp Pasta, sauce on side and I got the 248 backyard barbecue! Which comes with ribs, French friends and 5 bone in wings! Me being the spice fanatic I am I got the hottest sauce, Inferno! He tried to let me know it was pretty hot but I said I got this! Drinks came very quickly and our Mozzetta sticks came out right after! They were good, just wish the cheese on the inside was a bit more melted, but that's just me being picky; they had a great taste none the less! Food came out and mannnn everything looked so good! I could smell the heat coming off the wings. Luckily there was no one next to us because it was about to get messy on my side of the table! The wings did have a kick, reminded me of a form of Carolina reaper sauce, not vinergary but had a great flavor, but the heat crept up on you! The ribs had a great flavor and great taste!
