We stopped in this past Sunday 5/3/26. We sat downstairs. The restaurant was semi-full. The waitress took about 15 minutes to get to our table. She took our drink and food order rt away. The drinks came out shortly after. There was a table of three that sat down shortly after us. After about 1 hour and 15 minutes the table that sat after us questioned waitress on the food order. She explained that they got slammed a brunch but would check on her ticket. She returned and said your the second ticket. So I assumed we were the first ticked. NO, 5 minutes later their food came out. Another 5 minutes later my mother asked the waitress how long for our food. Her response "WHEN it's DONE. I must have gasped at this cuz then she turned to me and continued with"WELL do you want it half done. 10 minutes later 2 entrees came out. They were have done when the other 2 entrees finally arrived.0 for service. Food average. Waitress was the rudest person I have encountered ever!! read more

Last visit there was a disappointment. The food is OK but price is not concurrent with the quality.

Excellent, friendly service, hardly had to wait for our meals maybe 5-10 minutes! Cheesesteaks were filled with quality meat. Then soda drinks did not taste like city water and were perfect. read more

This is a rustic inn with a beautiful fireplace & interesting architecture. The service is exceptional. A different menu daily for lunch & dinner. The salads are huge. I really liked that there were 3 choices out of 6 choices with smaller dishes to sample. My favorite is a chicken cordon blu in a wrap. It is in the lunch menu. It's large enough to accommodate a party for Christmas parties or celebrations. I would highly recommend this restaurant. read more

This was my first time here while we were visiting family with my fiancée. I would recommend to call ahead and make a reservation on a saturday night because we initially tried to go but there was a 40 min wait. That's our own fault. We went back on Sunday night and we were able to be sat right away. It is the perfect mix of PA pub bar and homestyled cooking. Everything everyone had was "clean plated." And we had to make room for the dessert pierogies! Never had anything like it and they had multiple flavors! We all shared the blueberry and apple pierogies which was served with ice cream. Mother's Day. Running about 15 minutes late for a 12pm reservation...because, ya know...3 KIDS. I kid you not at 12:09 I get THE RUDEST VOICEMAIL from a female for not being there. It's one thing to call and check- but nine minute late. Ok... 12:13 when I pulled in the parking lot and Helene's the message- you bet your butt we are going to spend our money elsewhere. my wife and I have been driving past this place for years and never stopped in. today we decided to go with our adult son. what a mistake on our part not to have done this sooner! fantastic appetizers and great food. Our waitress was great bringing us samples of their home made sauces!so many home made options! The house chips were wonderful and my cheesesteak was perfection! My wife even got a home made Tandy cake dessert which did not take her long to devour! The staff is friendly and the food is very good. Priced reasonable. I had fish and chips and while good, the batter dipped fillets were a little too hard and crunchy for me. But you get that with batter that's deep fried. I also had a cheesesteak the last time i was here and it was fantastic! read more

Just ok. Menu was fairly unexciting- nothing you can't make at home for a fraction of the price. I can't really understand while they are always packed. We had wings that came out swimming in grease- not appetizing at all. Maybe it was just the flavor we ordered? Other food was so-so and the regulars (they all knew each other) were not very welcoming new comers. No worries- lots of other places to go. read more

Disappointed with the way overcooked food was handled. My daughter's chicken fingers were overcooked, hard to bite, rubbery chicken. This was mentioned to a woman that was helping bring the food to our table, not the server, I was told if the chicken was overcooked it would be burnt. Also my burger was ordered medium and it was cooked well done. I told the server I didn't want her to take it back to the kitchen but to please tell them in the kitchen. I'm disappointed that no one came back to see if my daughter even ate her chicken and no one from the kitchen or manager said anything about my overcooked burger. Server was sweet and attentive but disappointed how two complaints in one visit were not handled. Won't be going back. read more

If I was able to get a bloody Mary right before closing the girl would have gotten at least a 90 dollar tip.. . My boyfriend never tipped less than 90.... she said no, she was sorry.....yeah she's 100$ sorry, and the next bill she tries to pay she could have had more money...2 minutes to make one, 2 minutes to drink one...4minutes of time for 100$ tip...do the math Angel..... there were a bunch of guys drinking at the bar when you shut me down....hmmmmm .... how much did they tip you? Seriously overrated. I don't know where the great reviews come from because it was a complete joke when we went. The place is run like a sorority house. The bartender was high as a kite and proud of it. She spent more time talking to another girl working and on her phone than taking care of people at the bar. Food wasn't bad but wasn't hot either and it was far overpriced for what we got. Turkey was thick sliced lunch meat with salty gravy. My kids school lunches are better. Hubs cheesesteak was sad too. Should probably only use a 6 inch roll for the meat you get. What a waste read more

I have lived near the Berlinsville Hotel for more than 20 years, but in the recent months have noticed a lot of cars in the parking lot, so I finally stumbled in. Glad I did. Great wings, great burgers and an outstanding French Dip Sandwich! Plus they make their own potato chips which is like an unadvertised extra! Their fried are great, but I actually prefer the chips! Food comes out hot and fast and the staff is polite and friendly. Just what I need in a local eatery. Been back a few times already and haven't been disappointed yet! My husband and I just had dinner here for the first time. Very cute atmosphere. The food was amazing and our server Stephanie was fabulous. She was extremely friendly and was really on top of every table. We had the A1 burger and black and white cheesesteak. Highly recommend the A1 burger.
