The service is great and the food ALWAYS hits the spot. It smal but quite functional.

Probably the best bang for you buck breakfast wise in town. Cheaper and roomier than the Meadowbrook Diner and not as crowded, cleaner and slightly cheaper than the Chestnuthill Star Diner. Parking up front was plentiful, but they have a service garage and an equipment rental place on each side of them so sometimes the entrances can be tight. They have plenty of table seats and a small bar with diner stools. We sat at a quad by the window. The staff was friendly, great with kids and kept the coffee topped off. They only gave us breakfast menus, but they had all the standards you'd expect. I ordered eggs sunny side up, hash browns, bacon and rye toast. They made a Mickey Mouse pancake for my youngest, eggs and a bagel for the other and a large waffle for my wife. The eggs were on the small side, but delicious, hash browns were crispy, greasy and good. I can't complain it was a comforting meal. The kids were happy and my wife's waffle was enough for a second meal the next morning. The coffee was a tasty typical roasted diner coffee. We had a good family experience here and would return. Food is tasty, service is good and prices are competitive. We enjoy the atmosphere. Often "men's" groups use the place for meeting before or after events or for monthly meetings. They are almost always a plus to the atmosphere - you get a nice "family" or "community" feeling. The only negative is their parking lot. The auto business next store seems to park cars they are working on there. A few times we went to other restaurants thinking West End was crowded. And even now that we know, it can be annoying trying to get a spot. I wish they could do something about that. Husband and I came back for breakfast for the first time in awhile... We were greeted like we were part of the family, which made us feel good. My husband ordered 2 over medium eggs, home fries, bacon and toast and I had my regular there which is there waffle asked to be cooked well done, covered with extra whipped cream and bananas. Amazing place great customer service great food and it's not expensive would recommend

My friend & I stopped here for lunch today. It was our visit. It was FANTASTIC!! We both had Chicken Croquettes and they were the best I've ever had! They were HUGE, tasty and not alot of fillers. We both chose mashed potatoes and filling for our and they were equally delicious! The portions were also huge, enough for leftovers later! The price was great for the amount of food we got! And last but certainly not least, our server John was AWESOME!! He was so pleasant and personable! He was attentive to us and our requests. We joked with him about cranberry sauce and he brought some right out for us! Besides the excellent food, John made our experience even better! Not too much to say really... I was pretty hungry and in the area... found this place on here.. so we went in. The menu said homemade soup, and I'm a big soup fan. Since I generally don't like to order breakfast after 11 am because it's usually not very good at most places that late, I decided to try the soup. They had 'cheeseburger soup' as one of the options, and the one I went with. Before I go further... let me tell you that there was no hurry in this place. No hurry to bring a menu, no hurry to take your order, and no hurry to bring it out. For the size of the place and how not busy they were, I couldn't see any excuse to be so slow. Back to the food. So I ordered the soup and french fries. I was thinking it would be a delicious version of a cheeseburger, with a side of FF. The soup was barely manageable, and painfully disappointing. Since they have redone the place there are new people working . They deliver the food and spend the rest of the time talking behind the counter .. they don't even come back to see if you would like more coffee or even if everything is ok. I wouldn't go back there never again to eat. The food was less than mediocre it was just horrible. Didn't even leave a tip that is how bad the customer service, food and bathrooms were and usually I will leave a tip even if it mediocre. The waitress had horrible attitudes with a crying baby there for the entire time. I understand not everyone can afford babysitter but at least apologize and don't carry the baby the same time you are carrying customer's food. That is just plain rude and disrespectful when the baby is sick and could possible sneeze or cough on customers food. Thanks to YELP we found this awesome diner on our way to white water rafting in Pennsylvania. It's a small diner with a lot of personality! And it's owned by an Egyptian family!! We were seated quickly and our waitress, Barbara, came right over with hot coffee. The coffee was fresh. The prices are unbelievable here. In New Jersey an omelet is two times the price. I got the West End Benedict which is two pouched eggs on an English muffin with cheddar, bacon, and tomato. I didn't want the bacon or hollandaise sauce so I asked if I could get spinach instead of bacon and the sauce on the side. The waitress had no problem with my request. It also comes with homefries. I got my homefries well done with onions. Sooo good. Three of my friends got omelets, their homefries well done with onions and my other friend got 2 eggs scrambled with sausage links. They all raved about the food. For five of us to eat breakfast with coffee and juice included it came out to be $42. WHAT! For the amount and quality of food you can't beat it. In Jerz for five people to eat breakfast it would easily be over $100 at any diner... probably more. If you're ever in the area stop here! You will not be disappointed!!! read more

The food is just ok if you stick with a breakfast item. Beyond that you are taking your chances ordering anything else. They have a huge house fly problem. There were hundreds of flies buzzing around landing on us, our table and on our plates. It was disgusting. When I mentioned it, I was told "Yeah, we know. The cook leaves the back door open and that's why all of the flies are in the restaurant. Customers complain but he still does it." There is also 1 waitress with a terrible attitude and personality. She has a resting b*tch face and acts like you, the customer, are disturbing her. There have been times she just stares at her phone ignoring customers coming in to eat and customers who are waiting to pay their check. I would choose another diner if at all possible. read more

Stopped here on way to friends house for Breakfast. Okay we were a bit put off by the Trump Store next door lol but hey that's not their fault . Unlike many we are a bit paranoid about masks and social distancing so we were thrilled when we saw every other table blocked and all staff wearing masks. So glad we went here . Food was great. Just what you want for a big country breakfast. Service was fast and excellent and cheerful. We really felt like we stumbled onto a real find. Thankfully I'm not allergic to seafood because I ordered chicken croquettes and they gave me one crab cake and one croquette and when I questioned it they told me it was impossible because they came from the same bag!
