It's a great spot but you may want to call and make a reservation. Tonight we had the lobster bisque which was spicy so know that. Our pizza choice was the 1787 that was topped with ricotta, mushrooms, Italian sausage on top of a red sauce. We asked for more sauce on the side. As the young kids say, "it was banging". Great food and even better service! We came in as a party of three adults and five kids, and Ashley was our server. She did a fantastic job. She helped keep our little ones entertained with crayons and coloring sheets while making us feel completely welcome. Some places make large families feel like a burden, but Joey B's was the exact opposite. The food was excellent--we started with a wood-fired pizza to share, and I ordered the Inferno fried chicken sandwich, which was outstanding. From start to finish, everything exceeded expectations. We were just passing through after golfing and saw their online reviews - this place did not disappoint. We sat in the front bar area it was super cute, We got the French onion & lobster bisque to start. Both were soooo amazing. I got a the inferno burger (siracha ranch, pepper jack cheese, and onion rings and bacon on it. Was not spicy which was perfect I didn't want it to be haha, it was soo perfect. Burger was cooked perfectly the way I asked! Also the boardwalk fries were amazing! My husband got the California cheesesteak - said it was great!! We are from Philly area so it was a risk, but perfectly done!! The waitress was super nice as well. She was quick and kind, and everything came out in a perfect time. Ambiance (3/5): There a couple of parking spaces at the front of the establishment. The front inside is a bit tight with only 3 booths and a couple of bar seats. Luckily, we were able to be seated (in separate parties) at 5pm in their back patio. The back dining has several tables and bar seating. Bathrooms are located in the indoor section. It felt like a decked out cabin with a pizza oven nested between the bar. Service (3/5): We were seated at the bar which proved impossible to get dining service. The wait staff had to be called behind the bar to take our orders. Once the dinner wave settled down, the bartenders had some breathing time to get cozy and friendly with us. Food: Valentine's Day special: Lobster Bisque (5/5): The soup had a nice creaminess to it and punches of spicy Cajun seasoning. There were about 3 chucks of lobster in the soup. I would have eaten the whole thing if I wasn't trying to save some space for the main course! Rueben Sandwich (5/5): Probably one of the best Rueben's I've ever had!! The sliced meat was flavored well and not too salty. The ratio of ingredients of cheese, corned beef to slaw was great. I asked for the French fries well-done and they were indeed cooked with a nice crisp! 74 (?) Burger (4/5): Everything about the burger was delicious included the sauce and the meat patty. However, the bun was absolutely abysmal--it was too thick, dry, and consumed the burger's bite. Yes, the bun was able to handle the hefty size of the burger but took away from the otherwise amazing dish. If the other burgers use the same bun, DEAR CHEF PLEASE RECONSIDER THE BUN. I was eyeing my neighbors' sangria flights with the sugar-rimmed glasses. My friend got one with cotton candy but it turned out to be much too sweet and even too thick of sugar once the cotton candy melted. It became undrinkable. read more

THIS place...... as the kids say these days: it's "mid"! (they seriously say that. It's either MID or it's FIRE. I can't understand half of what they're saying, but I do know "mid" is not good). From 2017 until 2020-ish me and my girlfriend took it upon ourselves to visit as many restaurants in the Lehigh Valley and it's surrounding areas. We would get a recommendation from friends about places to go and THIS place was mentioned several times. So.... we go. Gotta tell you.....MID. We went back in 2018/2019....I only decided to write my review now because this restaurant came up on my feed and I remembered how average this place was yet it had such a great reputation. We go there, wait patiently and then a table opened up for us..... right when we were about to be seated, some LOCAL judge came in with his wife....they asked us if we could be patient because this dude was a "judge"! I laughed my a$$ off because the guy is a judge.... that's it. I said, "sure....no worries". He wasn't in movies.....he wasn't a sports hero returning home.....he didn't save the community from its awful implosion of its major employer decades ago.....no.... zero celebrity at all....just a local judge. I'm laughing now while typing because it was so ludicrous. My girlfriend had some choice words while he was walking by that I'm sure he decided to ignore, but I was fine. If the local judge needed special treatment then so be it. Food was marginal at best. Couldn't even tell you what I ate, but it was so bland that I cannot even recall what either of us ordered. I DO remember that the local judge thinks he's some kind of pimp or something....which should concern the citizens of that town (potential corruption?). This region seriously has very few places to eat and the places that ARE open are MID (thanks, kids. I'm hip now). I give it two stars for being able to persevere throughout COVID with average food. Again.... nothing special about this place. UPDATE oh.... THIS is going to be fun. Just read some reviews and I see how the manager/owner dude is a smarta$$ in his responses. Let's hope he's in the mood to respond. Just for clarification: I wrote my review PRIOR to realizing Chip has a chip on his shoulders. What THOSE men have in common: humility. The LAST thing they would do is bump anyone in line. They would have thanked the host/hostess for the gesture but would have respectfully declined. I'm thinking of a man that has a building named after him....never in a million years would he have done that - especially not with a smug satisfied smirk like judge -dude. For the record, I wasn't offended - I felt horrible for him because it was THAT pathetic. My experience has taught me that weak people need SOMETHING to make them feel special (ironically enough, that was pointed out to me by a child. The wisdom of youth...so pure). So....you WON'T be seeing me in the next 7/8 years or EVER. Not because of our back & forth...but because my experience was bland. Wasn't worth the effort. There was nothing specific about my visit that made me want to return and my visit WAS IN YOUR CHAMPIONSHIP YEAR!!! I know me not returning saddens you (we all know you don't care). You come across as a bad boss. One of those never wrong tyrants that should never have power - ever. You take pride in running a tight ship and are probably an authoritarian with many enemies along with broken relationships.... and all you have to show for it is carbon county business of the year circa 2018/19. I usually don't write reviews however I felt like this was needed. This is my third time at Joey B's. The first time it was beyond amazing, I got the crab fries and the build your own burger. Everything was delicious. Second time I got the nachos, absolutely amazing and got to take more than half of it home. However, when I went in today there was maybe 3 people maximum inside. We were asked if we had a reservation and we said we did not. So, instead of sitting inside we had to sit in the back dining. It was nice back there and it had a fire going but it was still chilly. I ordered the same burger but with loaded fries. I'm not sure what happened today, maybe just an off day, but it didn't taste the best. The fries are in a smaller portion than last time which was definitely disappointing, the burger was alright but wouldn't say the best. The waitress was nice, but when our food came out the man sort of tossed it down instead of setting it down nicely? Like I said maybe it was an off day but it was just disappointing. :( UPDATE: Thank you for the response. I get it, I'm an 18 year old who also started recently food running, but I'm pretty sure everyone knows how to set a plate down nicely. It's common courtesy. I just want to clarify, my review was about my most recent experience, not the past ones. Good service should be consistent, not dependent on who's running food that day. Instead of questioning whether I really enjoyed my past visits, maybe focus on why this one wasn't up to your usual standards. I offered honest feedback, not an attack. We love coming to this place. The indoor patio is a great spot. The appetizers were awesome. We got the Buffalo shrimp with mild sauce, boneless wings with sirracha ranch which had a great amount of meat, and their home made pierogies. We then shared Wood Fired Pizzas; Firefly Cheesesteak (a bit soggyish, but definitely good) and The Keystone with garlic added (not our favorite, but fresh and packed with toppings). This is a little hidden gem in a small town!! We went to the world's largest general store, and I looked up places nearby with drinks. The drink flight pictures sucked me right in!! I told my boyfriend we must go!! Parking, I thought, would be easier. However, I had to park about a block down for a Friday at noon it was a very busy area. We walked in, and the place was packed they actually asked if we had reservations, which we didn't. However, there was room at the bar, so we took a seat. So, as a side note, if you want to make sure you get a table, make a reservation. It was a very popular place!! We got handed a huge fun drink menu and the food menu, even though we weren't getting food. I flipped thru, and the menu looked amazing!! The locals sitting beside me said , "Hands down, I must try the pregioes," so I will try them next time! Told the bartender was there for a drink flight, she said they changed WEEKLY!! I couldn't believe it, I picked my four, and wow, they did not disappoint!! My boyfriend got a Peppermint hot drink, which was also so good. The girl that made up the drinks was very nice! The environment here was awesome. We sat in the 'outside' area which was heated and actually inside. The server and staff was very friendly and helpful with recommendations. I am fascinated that there are some gems in the middle of nowhere and this is one of them. It's not quite a sportsbar but has a family feel to it. We came here after snowboarding and we didnt have a reservation so we put ourselves on the waitlist and eventually got the text. The main host was very nice and the servers were extremely helpful as well. We went with the fish and chips the lobster bisque and the shrimp tacos. The bisque tasted great and while the meat in there wasn't exactly all real lobster it tasted good and felt meaty. The fish and chips were solid and we upgraded to the onion rings which were fried well. The shrimp tacos were about average but we definitely weren't complaining. The host also gave my son a nice ring pop and explained to us the history as well. We'll definitely be back here on our next trip. read more

I could write a review every single week for Joey B. My husband and I eat here each Friday or Saturday and always have an delicious experience. We love the wide range of their specials--both the food and drinks. They experiment with different types of foods and cultures for their weekly selections-I really enjoy reading through the descriptions. We have had lots of the specials over the years, and they never disappoint. These cooks are incredibly creative and talented. My husband has tried many of the wood-fired pizzas and raves about each one. They are his favorites! I have had different things over the years including pizzas, wraps, sandwiches, burgers, appetizers, chicken parm, chicken fingers, and many of the sides. I enjoy mixing it up each week. I get very excited each time the food runners bring out our meals! Every bite is amazing. The mixed drinks are phenomenal. It is tough to choose! No matter which I pick, I am completely satisfied. I have tried so many--martinis, mules, sangrias, the list goes on. These change frequently each month and the names reflect the season or contain pop culture references. Last night, I had an incredible Apple Pie A La Mode drink--wow! The mix of ingredients are the best I've ever had. The drinks at Joey B taste better than anywhere else. Then there's the staff--everyone is so friendly. That matters to my husband and I. We encounter lots of surly people in a week, so this is a welcome respite. We love talking to each person--food runners, servers, bartenders, owners, etc. They remember our preferences, greet us with smiles, make jokes about our tastes, and check on our table lots of times. I give this place 3 1/2 stars. They were able to seat our party of 9 in a matter of minutes. We just got a bit wet walking to the back area (have to go outside for a few feet). The back area was really cool with a super cool bar area. Looks like a cool place to hang out. My friend had the caesar salad which she loved and was huge. We had loaded chicken nachos which come with shredded chicken. Unfortunately it got to us cold so it was hard to pull the cheese and chicken apart. So that was OK. Probably wouldn't order it again. I had the margarita pizza which was huge and very tasty. It was enough for two people. Hubby had the mushroom burger which he loved. The fries were tasty. We were seated near the back door and had the hot air blower blowing directly on three of us. They probably should point it up more. It was uncomfortable each time it clicked on.
