First time going here. I was surprised at how big inside it actually was. The atmosphere was quiet and cozy. The wait staff was extremely nice. The service was very good. The food was alright. I got the Mexican omelette which was on their special menu but actually on their main menu it was the chorizo omelette. The toast was good, French toast as well. The coffee was diner coffee nothing to shake a stick at, now their OJ was great. It was fresh squeezed and very flavorful. I will say check it out. I was there with friends several days ago, and I was delighted to see Matzo Ball Soup on the menu, which I absolutely love, and I was very pleased with Riverside Diner's version. I also had the Turkey Club sandwich which I loved as they make it with fresh roasted turkey and not that roasted turkey lunch meat that so many eating establishments use these days. The Turkey Club was delicious. The atmosphere of the diner was congenial, the place was very clean, even the men's room. Our waitress was very pleasant and helpful and came to our table several times to see if we needed anything. My friends and I are planning to have lunch there soon and I am very much looking forward to it! read more

Went once, and that was enough. We both had omellets. They did not look, or taste like real eggs. Theu were either put of a box, or they were diluted with something, and extremly fluffy. Fantastic diner!! We came in with a group of 17 (called ahead) and Jess, our incredible waitress, and her daughter just killed it. SO nice, funny, sweet with the kids. It was our first time there. Heard a lot of good things about it. The service was excellent. Nice warm feeling inside. The food was not so good. My husband ordered pasta vodka I had a bacon cheeseburger with an onion ring on it and a different kind of sauce. Both were no good and old. The next day my husband got sick. They did a very good job. Some definite foodie attention being paid in the kitchen. Salad was fresh and blue cheese dressing was real. Gyro plate and especially the tzaziki sauce was garlicky and delicious. We had the guacamole side as an appetizer. It seemed slow coming out, but I think that's because they made it fresh and fried fresh tortillas chips. Very well done. As of 1/18/25 they are saying they'll be serving alcohol sometime soon. read more

So glad this new owner is taking a chance. Went during lunch time every seat was taken. The waitress were polite knowledgeable and provided great service. Loved that this place offers a soup with most entrées! It's rare to find a place that INCLUDES soup with anything but a more expensive "specials" menu. Service is average - nothing to write home about. I had the French dip sandwich. The meat was VERY tough and was cooked until quite dry. Thankfully they gave a good sized container of aus jus to dunk it in otherwise I couldn't have gotten it down. I definitely wouldn't order it again. My husband had the chicken gyro. He said it was ok but again -- nothing to write home about. We were hoping that new owners might have made a difference but that didn't seem to be the case. There were 4 of us for breakfast this morning. The service was impeccable; the nonstop refillable coffee was a plus for my husband. All the food was cooked perfectly; my friend ordered a broccoli & cheese omelette which was filled with nice sized broccoli pieces. I had eggs benedict which I order quite often. This was the best I have had across the US! The eggs, ham & English muffin were cooked perfectly for me; the ham was heated on the griddle so it had some crisp edges. The egg yolks were soft & the muffin was cooked through without being burnt. The best part was the hollandaise sauce. It was thick, creamy & flavorful; not salty like many others I have had. Tried this new diner and was very disappointed. First of all there were dinner specials listed on the Door and when we asked the waitress she said There were no specials. We asked questions about the menu and waitresses didn't know. So then we got our order.Now to find out the chef doesn't know the menu either as the dish was missing bacon as stated on The menu . Furthermore the girls were hanging out at the counter, laughing and giggling but doing nothing. We will not be returning to this restaurant read more
