Came here on a Saturday at 4pm (when they open) I made reservations a week beforehand because I've been there once before a year ago I and it was packed and you needed reservations. We took the hour long drive thru the small towns of NJ. Once we got there we waited in our car a few minutes because the wind was unreal outside band was very cold. There were people outside waiting to be the first to get in but we jumped out of the car with a minute to spare and was ushered in with the waiting crowd. Place is an old relic of a place nice bar but not much seating if your coming with a big party def call at least a few weeks in advance. There was a sign when we walked in that our time dining will be limited to 90 minutes for tables up to 6 over 6 you get to stay 120 minutes. We were seated at a basic table definitely no frills as basic as you can get. I ordered a cocktail the Cupid... it was strong and delish. My son had a craft beer and he enjoyed it. We were greeted very warmly and fast by our waitress since we basically knew what we wanted it was simple to order. It seems they go from who they've seated 1st then served drinks too then over to take the order so one table after the other and when the food comes out it's like that too like all at once. I got the Wolfe Cub 8oz medium with Garlic Butter with a baked potato side of butter and sour cream. Husband & son both got the Loki Cut 24oz (one medium rare with the Garlic Butter & with the dirty mashed potatoes & one medium with the a sweet potato with cinnamon butter) I wish I took a video of when our dishes came out. I've never been so impressed in my life. Sizzling meat that had everyone around us turning their heads (ours came out first of the people that were around us because we didn't order any appetizers or salad. My husband's and son's steak was so thick and perfectly cooked that it took my breath away it was that thick with a perfect char on it. Mine was definitely smaller and I could only eat half but it was the best steak I've ever had up till now. My son and husband also agree with me. My husband was able to polish his off plus his sweet potato, I don'ti know how he did it but he did. My son ate half and all of his dirty mashed potatoes. We both bought our left overs home and my son re heated his yesterday in a pan and said it was just as tender and flavorful as when it was fresh. My husband will be having mine tonight since he's been eyeing it since we bought it home. If you are looking for an absolute genuine steakhouse and are not pretentious about being in a regular restaurant this place is for you. You don't have to dress up just come for the food! For us to travel over an hour out of the way just to eat is not like us but like I said we went once before and my husband wanted to return so bad. I wish I lived closer I'd be broke but in steak heaven. I feel the prices for the steaks are very fair and they get you with the drinks and all the add ons ($6.00 for a scoop of garlic butter on top of the steak but so worth it.) They have an extensive menu and I would love to try other items but it's the steaks that pull you in. Overall an A+ in my opinion and we will be back to enjoy once again.

We started with escargot that was delicious. We had steaks that were cooked to perfection, and the side of garlic shrimp was awesome. Service was good. Great spot where you would not expect!

    Tiramisu, delicious.

What a great dining experience! The staff, the menu selections, and the food we ordered were ALL Fantastic! We started with the escargot, frog legs, French onion soup, and Caesar salad. Then we got the rack of lamb and NY strip. We finished with the tiramisu. The drinks were also perfect. Definitely a great place!

The food was great and so was the service. I loved the ambiance of a small tavern when the world was young. I will be back.

I'm not sure about the great reviews here but maybe it's because there is almost no where else to go in the area. I met a friend here on a Friday night and they had line at the door when they opened. They said they had no seating so we sat at the bar which was fine. Service was ok. I wasn't impressed by the food though. My London broil was super chewy. I almost didn't eat. The mashed potatoes were good and asparagus a little tough. I was still hungry after dinner. The waitress said they had crème brûlée cheesecake which sounded interesting so I got that. It was definitely pumpkin. It was good, a little too sweet but it definitely wasn't what she said it was. I'd skip this place if you can find somewhere else to go.

Recently moved to the area and people kept recommending Red Wolfe. Went last night and Red Wolfe did not disappoint. The staff were very friendly (& very busy) and made you feel welcome. We ordered a strip steak and filet mignon both were cooked to perfection. A little divey, but not in a bad way at. We can't wait to go back!

From the moment we made our reservation, the staff went above and beyond to make our evening special, asking if it was a special occasion and greeting us with a personalized note on our table and flutes of champagne upon being seated. The ambience was perfection, cozy yet spacious, with a warm fireplace, perfect lighting, and comfortable seating that made us feel relaxed and pampered. Our server, CJ, was absolutely top-notch, attentive without being intrusive, and added so much to our experience. We were treated to complimentary potato wedges as a taster, and I had the best Moscow Mule I've had in over a year--setting the perfect tone for the evening. We started with the bacon mac and cheese, perfectly savory and indulgent. For our main courses, my husband enjoyed a New York Strip, and I had the crabcake with fries. I also ordered the maple sriracha Brussels sprouts with bacon, which were out of this world. The portion sizes were generous, making it easy to take home leftovers for a second helping the next day. Dessert was the bread pudding with caramel butter topping, a decadent finish that left us completely satisfied, and the dark chocolate sea salt frogs that came with our bill were such a thoughtful, personalized touch; little details like that make memories. As parents of three, nights out are rare, and indulgence like this is even rarer. This was truly a night to remember. Even as a local for 19 years, I'm embarrassed it took us this long to visit, but I can now say with confidence...we will be back. Bravo to the entire kitchen staff and CJ for making our anniversary unforgettable. If you're looking for a restaurant that goes above and beyond, this is it!

As an out of towner who has access to amazing cuisine options in my area this restaurant gets three stars and that's being nice. When you walk in it's like a motel entrance. Literally it has all the tourist pamphlets lining the entrance to the hostess stand which doubles as the front desk of the hotel. It's not welcoming and feels cheap. To get to the restaurant you walk down a narrow long bar area where plenty of locals (I'm assuming) were enjoying happy hour. Loud and unwelcoming imho. We were seated in a two top which is super close to another two top. When I requested a booth in leu of the table (every booth was empty) the hostess said they were all reserved. Noting during our entire dining experience there were empty booths. Felt a little shady. Server was very sweet and great personality but unfortunately was not very fast. Every time she finally came back to the table she was apologizing for taking so long. She had other tables but wasn't in the weeds that we could see (in my youth I worked both as a server and hostess). The homemade bread we were looking forward to wasn't fresh and it was lacking taste as was the dipping oil. Adding salt and pepper helped the oil dip. Even though we were both hungry we didn't eat all the bread. That's a problem. We ordered clams as an appetizer. Again, tasteless needed salt, no flavor otherwise. For dinner, I ordered a seafood trio with Brussel sprouts. My husband ordered a fillet cooked, medium with a baked potato. The crabcake lacked flavor had way too much filling tasted like it came from Cisco. After a second bite, I would not eat anymore. The shrimp was ho hum and the lobster not that great either. My husband's steak was very bland no flavor in the meat even though it was cooked to temperature with a slight char on the outside. Because of the slow service and lack of flavor in the food we just wanted to check and get out of there as quickly as possible. What a bust for over $200.

Once you enter through the store, there is a sign to wait to be seated. The place has a nice and bright rustic vibe to it. I really liked the decor and table setup. Even the napkins had a rustic vibe. Started off with the potato scoop ($16) which was my fave item. The potato was shaped like the Fritos scoop chip, and the cheese dip that came with it had chunks of cheese in a melted cheese sauce. For my main, got the pulled pork sandwich ($16), which came in a pretzel knot bun and creamy slaw. It was solid meal and very filling. Other mains ordered were the roast beef "pho" style sandwich ($16) which I had a bite of and it was good and not what I expected thinking roast beef. Roast turkey ($16) was warm and also tasty. Each of the mains came with a side of potato salad. I will be back to try the sloppy Joe and their dinner meals. I ordered the shrimp and lobster chowder ($6) while my husband got the 6oz Flo's filet. My soup was very hot, but had no evidence of any lobster and only a scant amount of the dime-sized baby shrimp. Not a lot of flavor, sadly. My husband's filet, baked potato and Caesar salad were very good. I got a beer, which came fine. My hubby's drink (as he said 'a Black Russian, more vodka than Kaluha') first came with cream as a White Russian. They took it back, but brought a Black Russian with so much Kaluha that it was way too sweet and dark. They tried a third time and finally got it right! So, while we had a few issues, the staff was all friendly. The bar had to be cleaned off when we got there, even though there was only one person there, but they did it without our asking. They did their best to make things right.

I want to start by saying our server was a nice man and helpful, and the restaurant is perfect for a dinner setting but was maybe a bit dark for a lunch. I wouldn't say they were slow per se, but definitely nowhere near as busy as dinner time. So my girlfriend got a chicken sandwich and was able to choose a loaded baked potato as her side and it was $9. I got a half pound cheeseburger and I went with a house salad for my side and it was $10. They brought the loaf of bread you normally get before dinner meals as well. With drinks I believe the bill was like $25. If that wasn't reason enough to be excited...the food was quite good. Like far better than I expected. My burger was cooked to the proper temp and I had it with lettuce, tomato, onions, and pickles. It was juicy enough (medium rare) that I did not add any condiments. The vegetables for the salad were all fresh and the dressing tasted good, but next time around I will ask for the dressing on the side...it just felt like a lot of dressing. I stole a bite of my girlfriends chicken sandwich as well and I honestly think it may have been even better than the burger. This whole meal was a serious win. Absolutely Didn't Suck!
