We visited The Flying Egg on a Saturday, shortly before closing. We had an opposite experience than some of these reviews. Our table was reserved in the back of the restaurant and we liked that so we could easily talk. Our server was very kind and knowledgeable of the menu. My friends ordered egg dishes that looked amazing and came out hot. I am vegan and gluten free and she went back to the kitchen to speak with them about modifying my food. They had tofu and I got a tofu scramble. I felt it would be kind of light, so I also ordered an oatmeal. The oatmeal came out with fruit on it and looked delicious. I loved my food as well! We had no issues. We had excellent service and hot food. we are coming back for the holiday season to visit the Christkindlmarkt and we will be returning for brunch again! read more

Came on a very late Thursday morning - it was quiet in the restaurant. I tried the Huevos Rancheros and would give it a 7 out of 10 (I didn't realize there would be minimal meat in it). The placement of the black beans & fried eggs kind of made it impossible to turn the meal items into a small taco (defeating the purpose of putting the soft taco on the plate). My husband had steak & eggs and a Bloody Mary (it was his bday meal outing) and he really enjoyed everything he got a lot. I would definitely come back but I would choose a different meal. read more

Why no 5 stars all the way I cannot understand. Located next door to the Bethlehem hotel in historic PA it is an awesome spot for a wonderful , filling breakfast/brunch. We sat outside on a crisp October morning enjoying the sun and view. We decided to be decadent and order their Irish coffee. Excellent! I chose the chorizo huevos Benedict. My husband had the huevos rancheros. Sadly I did not take a pic because it went fast. Even their home fries were exceptional. A must eat place. Will have a hard time not eating here in the morning. My wife and I visited The Flying Egg during our anniversary vacation in Bethlehem, and it was easily one of the best breakfast spots we've ever been to. We had seen the great reviews beforehand, and this place absolutely lived up to the hype. Amanda ordered pancakes, and let me tell you--she's a pancake critic, and even she said they were some of the best she's ever had. We also shared turkey bacon, which was perfectly cooked and delicious. The eggs were excellent as well. I went for the Short Rib Benedict, and it did not disappoint--the short ribs were plentiful and tender, the sauce was flavorful, and the home fries... oh my goodness, the home fries were outstanding. The drinks were just as impressive. We tried the breakfast margarita, pumpkin spice martini, rumchata hot chocolate, and Bloody Mary, and every single one was 10/10. Boozy in the best way--flavorful without being overpowering. What really made the experience special, though, was the staff. Our server Alexis was incredibly attentive, kind, and thoughtful. She even surprised us with a little anniversary platter topped with fruit and whipped cream, which meant so much to us. Overall, The Flying Egg is a must-visit in Bethlehem. Came here a few weeks ago for breakfast before enjoying the Christkindlmarkt. Such a cute place! Food: the food was really really good. TFE Cobb was very tasty and generous with the toppings. The dressing was a whipped balsamic which is something I have never heard of but I really enjoyed. It's thicker than a vinaigrette so you don't need much of it. The sweet potato fries were also good and crispy but still fluffy on the inside. My only gripe is that extra dressing/dipping sauce costs extra, I hate when restaurants do that and I'm not sure it is all homemade (ranch and blue cheese). read more

We went at opening on a Saturday morning and were asked if we had reservations, which we did not, but we were seated immediately, even without them. Service was good. They have a vegan menu section with three items, two of which feature tofu. I ordered the tofu scramble. Or tried to. Our server came back to tell us they were out of tofu. I'm not sure I actually believe that; if the restaurant was missing a key ingredient, it would've been noted pre-service. And if it was true, they should've been better prepared. It's a good thing I'm not vegan. I ordered the smoked salmon toast, without onions, which of course they couldn't manage. It was filling though. Spiked coffee drinks were fine. Went here for breakfast and had no trouble getting a table. Everything with the service and food was great. It is a nice cozy little place next to Hotel Bethlehem. The big downside is somehow they ran out of tofu which is a big part of the Vegetarian breakfast. While we weren't there for the Moravian graduation ceremony, it is unfathomable that a restaurant would be out of a major food item. There is a lot that can be good here but it's clear they need better leadership to ensure they have major food items. read more

I heard about this brunch spot a while ago and vowed to try it whenever I'm in the area again. At first, I was a little worried because I was told it's a small space that gets busy quickly, especially for wknd brunch (which makes sense). So it felt like a gamble. Thankfully, we did not have to wait too long to be seated for 2 people. I had the cinnamon roll french toast with house made icing, which was the best part. The icing was the perfect contrast to the sweet and smooth texture of the french toast. Each bite melted w/icing melted in your mouth like butter. Perhaps more of a breakfast 'dessert' if you will. 10/10 nonetheless. A little syrup if preferable, but not mandatory. Excellent dish! My friend ordered the Lox Rocks benedict. I sampled it and it looks more appealing than it tastes. It could be the overly salted smoked salmon, but i do understand that that's the risk you take w/that. Still, it wasn't a complementary combo. The basil hollandaise had a good flavor, which surprised me. Great service. Our server was polite, attentive, and informed about the menu. This place has always been my go to spot for breakfast in Bethlehem! You can dine indoor or you can dine outdoors. I always prefer to dine outdoor because I feel like I'm in a hallmark movie. You have the brick street and you're next to hotel Bethlehem. How much better can it get. The inside is very chic, you feel like you're in Paris! Everyone has always been so friendly and you're always greeted with a smile They have a wide range of mimosas but I chose to get just a regular mimosa but I do highly recommend their mango mimosa! One of my favorite brunch places. The wait can be long so we try to get there early then wonder around until our table it ready.

Giving this two stars just because everyone else said their meals tasted alright. While it's in a great location, and there's a decent amount of seating, we all ordered either omelets or sandwiches (which take five mins to make) but had to wait about 50 mins for our food to come out while it wasn't even that crowded. At the same time throughout the entire meal the service never asked us if we wanted refills, and there were dozens of dead fruit flies stuck to the walls. Really would not recommend going to this place, and I do hope management reads this so they can begin to improve both the cleanliness of their establishment and the quality of their service. read more

Overall experience was just OK. The service was good and our server was very pleasant and friendly. She brought our 2 coffees and waters right away. We ordered the Greek omelette and the South of the Boarder Benedict soon after but waited over 30 minutes till our food arrived. Right before getting our food we were told that they were out of English muffins so we had to substitute toast on the Benedict. The food was good tasting and nice flavors. The overall prices for the food were good but coffee at $3.25 a cup is pretty expensive. $37 plus tip for 2 breakfasts and 2 coffees. I'll let you decide if it was worth it......I would give it a 3.75 out of 5 so I'll have to round up to a 4. read more

First of all, our waitress was wonderful! Food was delicious! My whole group loved the food, I had the huevos rancheros and ate the whole thing! Mimosas were great! Sat on the patio and it was a lovely aesthetic! The GF says that the bathroom smells amazing and it was a 10/10 public bathroom experience. She is picky, so that's a pretty impressive bathroom. They don't seem to have a lot of room for parties bigger than 4, so it was a little cramped, but everything else was great! read more

Terrible experience. Do not go here. It's the type of restaurant that charges expensive prices purely because of its location on main street. It is below average food for above average prices. My girlfriend and I placed an order for pickup on a Sunday morning and it ended up ruining our morning. We arrived 20 minutes after placing the order, just to be told that we must wait an additional 15-20 minutes. On top of that we were charged $50 for very very below average food that came out cold and took forever. We asked for two iced caramel and lavender lattes, and we were given two watered down ice *coffees (not lattes) and half of each cup was filled with flavored syrup. We got the classic eggs benedict that turned out cold and bland, and completely let us down. We also added a pancake which also came out cold and damp, it was terrible. And finally we got the three meat platter which was the only redeemable plate we got. But all that for 50 dollars is crazy and I would've been very happy paying that if the food was someone good but it wasn't. Don't go here. read more

I've been here twice in the last month. Both times without reservations and with a half hour wait quoted to us on arrival. On the first visit (Saturday morning), the place was packed and it only took 5 minutes to get a table. On the second visit (Monday morning), there were several open tables and they made us wait twenty plus minutes to be seated. Meanwhile I was holding my two year old since there is no where to stand and wait. On the first visit I had the juevos rancheros and my husband had the three meat skillet. Everything was satisfactory including the service. The food was tasty. On the second visit, I had the apple and honey ricotta toast and it was not satisfying and also barely had any ricotta and no taste of honey. Lots of apple and cold bread. I would not recommend this to anyone. My daughter enjoyed her berry pancakes and it looked nice and fluffy and my friend enjoyed her eggs benny. Coffee/service was slow. We only got 1 refill despite saying "let's just get hot coffee so we can get refills" in front of the waitress and our cups sat empty most of the time.
