My wife and I visited The Flying Egg during our anniversary vacation in Bethlehem, and it was easily one of the best breakfast spots we've ever been to. We had seen the great reviews beforehand, and this place absolutely lived up to the hype. Amanda ordered pancakes, and let me tell you--she's a pancake critic, and even she said they were some of the best she's ever had. We also shared turkey bacon, which was perfectly cooked and delicious. The eggs were excellent as well. I went for the Short Rib Benedict, and it did not disappoint--the short ribs were plentiful and tender, the sauce was flavorful, and the home fries... oh my goodness, the home fries were outstanding. The drinks were just as impressive. We tried the breakfast margarita, pumpkin spice martini, rumchata hot chocolate, and Bloody Mary, and every single one was 10/10. Boozy in the best way--flavorful without being overpowering. What really made the experience special, though, was the staff. Our server Alexis was incredibly attentive, kind, and thoughtful. She even surprised us with a little anniversary platter topped with fruit and whipped cream, which meant so much to us. Overall, The Flying Egg is a must-visit in Bethlehem. Between the amazing food, creative drinks, and warm hospitality, we couldn't have asked for a better way to celebrate. If I'm ever in Bethlehem again, I'll definitely be back!

Came here a few weeks ago for breakfast before enjoying the Christkindlmarkt. Such a cute place! Food: the food was really really good. My wife got a salmon Benedict I believe which I really enjoyed and I got a waffle with caramelized apples, which was delightful. Aesthetic: trendy breakfast spot with really cool lights in the back coming out of mugs. Service: service was OK at best, girl seemed bothered to be helping us, but it was a very busy Saturday.

TFE Cobb

TFE Cobb was very tasty and generous with the toppings. The dressing was a whipped balsamic which is something I have never heard of but I really enjoyed. It's thicker than a vinaigrette so you don't need much of it. The sweet potato fries were also good and crispy but still fluffy on the inside. My only gripe is that extra dressing/dipping sauce costs extra, I hate when restaurants do that and I'm not sure it is all homemade (ranch and blue cheese).

The Flying Egg is very cute and I was excited to check it out. We went at opening on a Saturday morning and were asked if we had reservations, which we did not, but we were seated immediately, even without them. Service was good. They have a vegan menu section with three items, two of which feature tofu. I ordered the tofu scramble. Or tried to. Our server came back to tell us they were out of tofu. I'm not sure I actually believe that; if the restaurant was missing a key ingredient, it would've been noted pre-service. And if it was true, they should've been better prepared. It's a good thing I'm not vegan. I ordered the smoked salmon toast, without onions, which of course they couldn't manage. It was filling though. Spiked coffee drinks were fine. I'd not return, which is too bad, given the overall vibe, location, and service.

Went here for breakfast and had no trouble getting a table. Everything with the service and food was great. It is a nice cozy little place next to Hotel Bethlehem. The big downside is somehow they ran out of tofu which is a big part of the Vegetarian breakfast. While we weren't there for the Moravian graduation ceremony, it is unfathomable that a restaurant would be out of a major food item. There is a lot that can be good here but it's clear they need better leadership to ensure they have major food items.

We walked in on a Saturday morning. They sat us down right away. You have to make a reservation the day before they don't take reservations day of. They do accept walk-ins, but it's very busy on weekends. Server was nice but very very very slow. Food was decent. Fair priced. Good chill average breakfast spot in Bethlehem.

Lox Rocks benedict (basil hollandaise best part)

I heard about this brunch spot a while ago and vowed to try it whenever I'm in the area again. At first, I was a little worried because I was told it's a small space that gets busy quickly, especially for wknd brunch (which makes sense). So it felt like a gamble. Thankfully, we did not have to wait too long to be seated for 2 people. I had the cinnamon roll french toast with house made icing, which was the best part. The icing was the perfect contrast to the sweet and smooth texture of the french toast. Each bite melted w/icing melted in your mouth like butter. Perhaps more of a breakfast 'dessert' if you will. 10/10 nonetheless. A little syrup if preferable, but not mandatory. Excellent dish! My friend ordered the Lox Rocks benedict. I sampled it and it looks more appealing than it tastes. It could be the overly salted smoked salmon, but i do understand that that's the risk you take w/that. Still, it wasn't a complementary combo. The basil hollandaise had a good flavor, which surprised me. Great service. Our server was polite, attentive, and informed about the menu. The only downside is the food took a really long time to come out. I'd come again, maybe a different weekday and try other menu items.

Absolutely wonderful service. Delicious food made from scratch. I got an eggy avocado toast (came with a nice salad) and my bff got JERSEY (pork roll egg on Kaiser) 2 OJs. Cute restaurant decor. I enjoy it here every time

This place has always been my go to spot for breakfast in Bethlehem! You can dine indoor or you can dine outdoors. I always prefer to dine outdoor because I feel like I'm in a hallmark movie. You have the brick street and you're next to hotel Bethlehem. How much better can it get. The inside is very chic, you feel like you're in Paris! Everyone has always been so friendly and you're always greeted with a smile They have a wide range of mimosas but I chose to get just a regular mimosa but I do highly recommend their mango mimosa! They're always made to perfection. This time I made my own omelet. I put chorizo, onion, pepper, and cheese inside. The choriza today was absolutely amazing it was so tasty. I also got a side of avocado to put spread on my toast and it also comes with home fries which are really good. This place is just always a go to when it comes to breakfast

Avocado toast added an extra egg

Very friendly waitress. Had a great Avocado toast. Added an extra egg. Cool restaurant. Will def return.

burnt pork roll . Did not eat any of it .

Went there for the first time and will never go back . The server was horrible she might of checked on us total of three times . My food was cold when it came out and the server didn't check on us for 15 min after at that point I was already annoyed . The pork roll on my sandwich was so burnt you could not even tell there was cheese on it . over priced breakfast because of location . never going back

Lox benedict and very expensive fruit plate for what it actually was.

Terrible service, bland food. Eggs arrived cold, no silverware on the table so food got colder. Overpriced. Skip this place.

One of my favorite brunch places. The wait can be long so we try to get there early then wonder around until our table it ready.

Quick, decent breakfast. Was pretty chill at 9:30am on Saturday. Espresso was not good at all, but orange juice tasted fresh squeezed!

We were seated right away in an open format atmosphere with the best balance of light and dark. The bar across from us looked fantastic. What we noticed right from the start is how well the staff works with and for each other to bring guests the best dining experience possible. Maddie was our server. She was kind, professional, patient, and knowledgable about both food and drink on a grand scale. Her recommendations were stellar. I had a refreshing gin and basil martini as well as their beef carpaccio, which was absolutely fantastic. My girlfriend started with their beef stew, which was thick and satisfying. It was so delicious, she almost canceled her entree to have more. She went with the home cooking route and indulged in their meatloaf with green beans and mashed potatoes. Although she loved that as well, half had to come home with her, which made for an excellent lunch the next day. I went with the raw of it all and got their spectacular tuna tartare with asparagus, radish, and rice. Usually, the tuna is cut into strips but this tremendous block of gorgeous fish knocked me out. Absolutely fantastic from presentation to flavor. For dessert, we got their brownie with ice cream and this was all upper level in taste and texture. I would be shocked if their ice cream hadn't been made in-house. We loved our first experience with Apollo and we look forward to our next visit, which is hopefully sooner than later.

Thank goodness we planned some flexibility after the meal before our show started. But the real downer of the meal was Alison. Our server had such an attitude... while the food was pretty good, she was not. The place was also too loud and had no vibe. The bar crowd spilled into the seat area and looked messy. Wouldn't go back.

**Restaurant Review: Thyme Brunch**…read more I knew I wouldn't be disappointed at **Thyme Brunch**, and once again, it exceeded every expectation. My best friend was visiting from Arizona, and since he'd never experienced this gem before, I couldn't wait to share it with him. From the moment we arrived, the staff's warmth and attentiveness set the tone for a perfect meal. Their friendly recommendations made our celebration of friendship even more memorable. We took their advice and ordered the **Shrimp & Grits** and the **Pork Belly Hash**--both were phenomenal. The shrimp were perfectly cooked, tender, and flavorful, while the grits had an incredible zing that left me wishing I knew the secret ingredient. The pork belly in the hash was generous and rich, and we even added an extra egg so we could each have one--definitely worth it! And then there's the **view**. We were lucky enough to get a corner window seat overlooking the fall foliage and the dramatic incoming storm clouds--it was absolutely breathtaking. Between the food, the view, and the impeccable service, it was an unforgettable dining experience. I regularly drive 30-45 minutes to eat here, and it's always worth every mile. I've never been disappointed. Even my niece still talks about the **burrata**, saying it was the best she's ever had--and that was four years ago! Thyme continues to be one of my favorite spots--consistently excellent, beautifully presented, and always made with care. *Chef's kiss!*

I'd heard mixed reviews going in, but aside from the parking, there wasn't a single thing to complain about. I kicked things off with crispy chicken dumplings, perfectly fried and served with a sweet-and-salty soy yuzu sauce, along with rich, pillowy pumpkin gnocchi. For my entree, I went with the pasta of the day, fettuccine in a garlic-horseradish cream sauce with mushrooms, Swiss chard, and tender beef tips. My friend went with the savory short ribs, served alongside a golden Irish cheddar potato cake, roasted root vegetables, and crispy shallots. We wrapped things up with the salted caramel apple cheesecake and tiramisu for a sweet finish. Our server was attentive throughout our meal, and the hosts sent us off with a friendly farewell.

The quiche was packed with broccoli, cheddar, and bacon, a classic combo that never disappoints. The sandwich was layered with eggs, spinach, roasted peppers, mushrooms, mozzarella, and Cooper cheese, all tucked into perfectly grilled multi-grain bread. The blinis were crisp on the outside, light and fluffy inside, and topped with sour cream. For those unfamiliar, blinis are small, tender pancakes traditionally made with yeasted batter. I'm from New York, and my sister moved to Pennsylvania, so she introduced me to this spot. Now every single time I visit her, I somehow end up right back here because the food is just that good. They used to have a second location that closed, but honestly, it doesn't even matter because this one was always my favorite, the food here is on another level. We always start with the Brussels sprouts, the fried green tomatoes, or the hush puppies. You simply cannot go wrong with any of them. The appetizers are always hot, fresh, and packed with flavor. And then there's the mac and cheese... absolutely to die for. Even the children's mac and cheese is ridiculously good. Creamy, cheesy, comforting, exactly how mac and cheese should be. Their salads deserve their own shoutout too. The goat cheese salad with pickled eggs is perfection, and the Caesar with cornbread croutons? Genius. It's the kind of detail you don't expect but end up craving every time you think about it. But of course, the real star of the entire place is the cornbread. Truly heavenly. They serve it warm, and the whipped butter melts right into it, it's honestly dangerous how good it is. I could eat the entire dish by myself without hesitation. The service is always great, quick, friendly, and welcoming. It's one of those places where the vibes feel just as good as the food tastes. On weekends, it does get packed, so making a reservation is probably a smart idea. All in all, I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant. The food, the atmosphere, the consistency, everything hits. Once seated, our server was the only bright spot of the night, he was amazing and clearly doing everything he could. Appetizers came out quickly and were good: the cornbread was delicious and the cauliflower app was solid. Then everything fell apart. We waited over an hour and fifteen minutes for our entrees, even though the restaurant had basically emptied out by then. When the food finally arrived, some dishes were cold and others were dried out from sitting under a heat lamp. For a place charging these prices, this is unacceptable. What made the experience worse was management's complete lack of accountability. The GM never came over to apologize, acknowledge the delay, or offer any form of compensation, nothing, despite us being patient, polite, and spending over $400. At that price point, basic service recovery should not be optional. This was a frustrating and disappointing experience from start to finish. There's clearly a reason reservations were easy to get during the height of the Christmas season. We will not be returning.
