Pernil Benedict
Jeff R.

We finally got to Sibris Restaurant just east of downtown Bethlehem for brunch . The outdoor seating on East Broad & High Streets is what you would expect: a table that did not wobble on the sidewalk, good umbrella shade, dog friendly attentive service; good enough for us! The Pernil Eggs Benedict was excellent! The pork was rich, flavorful, and plenty moist. The addition of avocado was a great touch. The eggs were poached to absolute perfection (see photo). The home fries were crisp on the outside and warm and fluffy in the inside. Perfect cook! I will mention that they lacked any flavor or seasoning. I added salt and pepper at the table which was fine. I ordered onions in my homefries and they were barely cooked, and still crunchy. I don't mind that, as I love onions , but I could see folks taking issue with that. Steph had the breakfast burrito loaded with chorizo and cheese. I do love that they took extra effort and grilled the burrito a touch to bind all the filling. It was so filling she brought half home. Rufus had four perfectly executed Sunny side up eggs, as you can see the cook in the eggs was top notch. They honored what I asked for specifically, with some sliced cucumber for him as well. I am pleased they did accommodate my pup with the added veggies and heavily iced water -- He did bring his own bowl. The food was great and it was an excellent value. The staff was terrific, and we also had a good time chatting with the other patrons at the corner of High and E. Broad. The Father's Day vibe was certainly evident here today. One of my favorite days of the year, where people are just simply so kind to each other. We will certainly be back! The value is terrific, considering the breakfast place two blocks to the west would charge you twice the price for what we ordered. #rushieeats

Sibri's Carne Asado

Sibris has a menu that will satisfy any customer's preference. Breakfast, lunch or dinner. I was never disappointed with anything I have decided to order. Before heading to a meeting on Thursday night, I stopped at Sirbi's for dinner. As always, I enjoyed my "Sibris Carne Asado" dinner. Grilled NY strip steak, rice and homemade guacamole. Every mouthful of the steak was juicy, tender, full of flavor and grilled to perfection! The homemade guacamole was outstanding. The onions, tomatoes, cilantro pepper, lime gave the guacamole a mixtures of flavors that danced in my mouth. Always a simple but appealing presentations with every meal. Carmen is alway very hospitable, attentive and makes you feel right at home. Sibri's, moderately priced, bistro-like simple little resturant is the best kept secret on East Broad Street in Bethlehem, PA.

I read somewhere that this place was renovated. But that's hard to believe??!! Came here based on reviews. I was a bit disappointed by the service and the food. It wasn't what we had hoped for, but the servers were nice at least. They had ample seating inside and outside. If you ask for a lunch menu, they will give it to you. They also have specials too. I got the special that wasn't on the menu. It was steak with 2 eggs anyway you would like it and others. The price was good, it wasn't expensive.

Enjoy...great French toast

French Dip Sandwich

First time having Sibris and I ordered takeout on 11/16. The quality of food was poor and overpriced. The French dip looked like it would give me food poisoning so I threw it out without evening tasting it. It baffles me that whoever slapped my meal together believes it was even remotely close to acceptable. I will never use their services again!

We were seated right away in an open format atmosphere with the best balance of light and dark. The bar across from us looked fantastic. What we noticed right from the start is how well the staff works with and for each other to bring guests the best dining experience possible. Maddie was our server. She was kind, professional, patient, and knowledgable about both food and drink on a grand scale. Her recommendations were stellar. I had a refreshing gin and basil martini as well as their beef carpaccio, which was absolutely fantastic. My girlfriend started with their beef stew, which was thick and satisfying. It was so delicious, she almost canceled her entree to have more. She went with the home cooking route and indulged in their meatloaf with green beans and mashed potatoes. Although she loved that as well, half had to come home with her, which made for an excellent lunch the next day. I went with the raw of it all and got their spectacular tuna tartare with asparagus, radish, and rice. Usually, the tuna is cut into strips but this tremendous block of gorgeous fish knocked me out. Absolutely fantastic from presentation to flavor. For dessert, we got their brownie with ice cream and this was all upper level in taste and texture. I would be shocked if their ice cream hadn't been made in-house. We loved our first experience with Apollo and we look forward to our next visit, which is hopefully sooner than later.

Thank goodness we planned some flexibility after the meal before our show started. But the real downer of the meal was Alison. Our server had such an attitude... while the food was pretty good, she was not. The place was also too loud and had no vibe. The bar crowd spilled into the seat area and looked messy. Wouldn't go back.

Service was great, our waitress was very attentive and friendly. For apps we did the pirogies which were some of the best I've ever had, the red wine sauce was amazing!, as well as the shoulder lean which was good. For an entree, I did the Jimmy Pesto wrap. Good flavor and massive portion, but the chicken was very dry. Husband got the What's the Dilla, which was great and again a massive portion. We also enjoyed most our cocktails.

My buddy and I stopped in around 2PM and had the whole place to ourselves. I started with Fatman Scoop; Hoss pierogies, cooper sharp, shaved ribeye, red wine demi glaze, caramelized onions, and one over easy egg. Absolutely amazing! I then moved onto the Angry Birds. They were served wet, crispy, and delicious. The hot-n-honey sauce packed quite the punch. Last but not least, The Feast of St. Eugene; seasoned ribeye, caramelized onions, Gruyère, Egypt Star Bakery French bread, au jus, and horseradish aioli. The roll was fresh, the meat was tender, and the au jus and horseradish aioli complimented it perfectly. Top tier! The Wooden Match has Indoor and outdoor seating. I mentioned this and was told that's because many of the same craftsmen worked on this place too. Made me feel smart! If you go. Do yourself a favor and walk around a bit. The food was very tasty I think it is the only restaurant I've been in locally that didn't use excessive amounts of salt. A big plus. The mixed drinks were interesting and reasonably strong. I usually quaff mine down fairly rapidly, savoring the buzz during dinner and still safely driving home after. I had potato soup, which was very good, and Ming had Beet Carpaccio, which was thinly sliced seared root veggies with seasoning. I only had a bite because she wanted it all! Then came dinner. I had the ribeye, which was done so that it was seared one the outside to keep the flavor in and red (while being cooked thru, not an easy feat) and it's was flavored but not overly salty, were unusual. I ordered my usual Worcestershire sauce to clean off the extra salt, but hardly used any. Ming had the crab cake, which was the only negative of the meal. While not overtired or salty, there was a bit of a fishy smell. Not terrible, but off putting. Luckily for me, I don't like crab anyway so I didn't have any. The desserts were good, with a tasty chocolate cake and a peach cobbler that was good but could have had a bit of peach goo to moisten it a bit. The prices were very competitive considering the venue AND the quality of the food. The bar was hopping too because it looked like a great place to hang out with friends!

Update on Nov 30, 2025…read more We have once again stayed at this beautiful place and am in awe with their attention to details and the lovely holiday decor. We stayed in the premier king with soaking tub room and everything is described to perfection from the spacious bathroom with the soaking tub to the separate get ready changing room. The overall room and establishment decor is one thing, but what elevates this establishment are the personal human connections with the attentive staffs. A huge shoutout to both Sundiata and Lou for their graciousness and hospitality skills. They along with the restaurant bartender tonight, Ashlynn, continue to make us feel like a home away from home. Having been here a few times and been to their restaurant, we highly recommend this place to both locals and visitors.

I'm from New York, and my sister moved to Pennsylvania, so she introduced me to this spot. Now every single time I visit her, I somehow end up right back here because the food is just that good. They used to have a second location that closed, but honestly, it doesn't even matter because this one was always my favorite, the food here is on another level. We always start with the Brussels sprouts, the fried green tomatoes, or the hush puppies. You simply cannot go wrong with any of them. The appetizers are always hot, fresh, and packed with flavor. And then there's the mac and cheese... absolutely to die for. Even the children's mac and cheese is ridiculously good. Creamy, cheesy, comforting, exactly how mac and cheese should be. Their salads deserve their own shoutout too. The goat cheese salad with pickled eggs is perfection, and the Caesar with cornbread croutons? Genius. It's the kind of detail you don't expect but end up craving every time you think about it. But of course, the real star of the entire place is the cornbread. Truly heavenly. They serve it warm, and the whipped butter melts right into it, it's honestly dangerous how good it is. I could eat the entire dish by myself without hesitation. The service is always great, quick, friendly, and welcoming. It's one of those places where the vibes feel just as good as the food tastes. On weekends, it does get packed, so making a reservation is probably a smart idea. All in all, I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant. The food, the atmosphere, the consistency, everything hits. I will always come back whenever I'm in the area, and yes... mostly because the cornbread is truly that good.

First time I visited was for lunch. As soon as I saw the menu, I knew I needed to order the Wild Scotch Egg (difficult to find). I also had the half portion of Fish and Chips. The Wild Scotch Egg consisted of hard boiled egg and sausage, which was panko fried, sitting on Guinness fondue and crisp arugula, topped with Parmesan crisps. I really enjoyed this. The outer breading was light and satisfyingly crispy, while the egg and sausage interior was expertly cooked, tender and well seasoned. Cheesy fondue sauce was rich and creamy. Parmesan crisp was a nice, tasty touch. The beer battered Fish and Chips were also yummy. Fish was succulent, perfectly flaky and flavorful, while the Steak Fries were wonderfully crunchy, full of true potato taste. I knew I needed to return in order to try the Sticky Toffee Pudding, one of my all time favorite desserts. This was served warm, with Earl Grey tea date sponge cake, paired with sweet sticky toffee sauce and clotted cream. So deliciously mouthwatering and decadent! Service was good.
