Everything !!!!!! the time to wait for your food was an hour was definitely uncalled for I don't care if it's homestyle or not at least had a common courtesy to let us know that there was an hour wait and we would've left which we left anyway. People leaving do to no food arriving. We paid for drinks to be kind & left. Never will return! 1 cook, seriously! We watched 2 wrong orders brought to a table & the customers accepted them anyway so they could eat something & get out already, sad! 1 waitress, seriously! 1 bus person barely had anything to do. Unprofessional, disorganized & frustrating experience. Called cafe to complain to manager who turns out to be the one & only cook as well. Rude & Ranting about lunch rush & losing customers. Wowza so good. This local favorite has a great feel despite being in a strip mall. They have a good breakfast and lunch menu. The prices are reasonable. The fruit salad is melon free! The service is prompt and friendly. We have to come back to try lunch sometime! read more

The chef/server...one person for the first hour and she was spectacular! I had the patty melt (egg, cheese and sausage on toasted rye) and my wife had the French toast. Both were outstanding. Leisurely breakfast, where we enjoyed the food and conversation over 45-50 minutes. Don't expect a fast-food experience. Breakfast as it's meant to be to enjoy a relaxing and tasty meal. Found a hidden gem of a restaurant. Stopped here for breakfast. The waitress was wonderful and food was cooked to order by just one woman. The food was very good and worth the wait!! I ordered their version of the eggs Benedict and my husband got a French omelette. If I ordered this again I probably would skip the tomato. My husband enjoyed his omelette and Rye toast. I don't know who this guy, "Art," is, but he has a very nice little café going on Route 378 in the Wydnor section of Bethlehem, PA. Not much to look at from the outside, sitting in the middle of a nondescript strip center, but once inside, the joint is pretty cool - French style open kitchen, half slate wall separating it from the dining area, half dozen tables and three hightops for hungry customers to chow down. Menu is somewhat limited, but what we tried from the Breakfast Sandwich List, and the French Style Toast, were way better than average. The sausage, egg & cheese on Portuguese roll was fresh, hot, melty and delicious, with the roll holding up its end of the deal with a nice crisp shell and soft innards. As for the Frenchy, its thick-sliced baguette was dipped in a very good egg/vanilla/sugar mix and grilled the right amount of time to allow edges to caramelize without burning. With a bit of butter and the house syrup (not maple), it was a sweet dish, but not uberly so. We were both satisfied, and the helpful friendly service made for a very pleasant morning repast. The coffee was also hot and strong, at $2.50 for a bottomless mug. The house was humming this Friday morn, and it was easy to see why. Art has a good thing going on. read more

I ate at The ART Cafe in person last week. Very well set up for COVID. Tables spaced out, no condiments on the tables, paper menu's, hand sanitizer available and a room ventilating fan to keep the air flowing! The food was fantastic! My friend and I had the black bean soup. It had a little kick to it, Just enough to give it some nice flavor! I had the asparagus quiche and it was very tasty, very nice crust. You could get beans or red potatoes with it. I had the beans and they were cooked just right. My friend had the Fall Apple walnut /cranberry salad with chicken. It was a very generous portion. My friend could not eat it all and took a doggy bag home. The dressing was to "die for" she said. We both got a piece of wild berry pie to take home for dessert. When I did have it later it was packed berry's and a great crust! I would highly recommend the ART. read more

My family has tried this place 4 times. We keep trying because we want to like this place and have read all the positive reviews. However, after 4 straight terrible experiences I'm giving up. The service is really, really slow and at times rude and dismissive. The food is ok at best but really overpriced and takes FOREVER. The last time my wife went with my daughter and had to leave because the service was so slow. The server was completely unapologetic and seemed burdened by the entire experience. When she got the vibe that my wife was going to pay for their drinks and leave she basically rushed them out the door. We are not high maintenance or difficult to please patrons but this place has consistently disappointed. Love the concept but really poor execution. read more
