But I'm glad that I ate Waffle House at what I perceive to be the right time: after 10PM. Having never ordered here, I have seen some YouTube videos on some epic meals. I decided for a Jalapeno Cheesesteak Hashbrown Bowl with sausage gravy, and since I am at the House of Waffle --- a half regular/half chocolate chip waffle as well. Nadia couldn't have been any nicer! I told her it was my first time, and she was so gracious and kind. A few hiccups but she corrected her course quickly. Quick shoutout to Eli the hashbrown jedi. I was sitting in a booth and in about 6-7 minutes, he made at least 8-10 rounds of crispy golden mounds for everyone in the establishment, and each hashbrown looked just as good as the previous. He's a pro. I recall visiting some Waffle Houses in Lancaster and even Ohio, and I didn't like the ambiance; however, this one is clean! At least at 10PM on a Thursday it was clean and staffed with excellent workers. My food was so delicious. That hashbrown bowl came with two servings of potatoes, eggs scrambled perfectly, and that thick sausage gravy to make everything into one delicious bite. I wanted a spicy kick --- and they topped it off with grill jalapenos? What magic is this?? Oh, now onto the waffle --- not too thick and not too thin. Perfect consistency. Typically a purist, but I appreciated the half chocolate chip experiment. 5/5. 10/10. I'm so glad Nadia, Eli, and Waffle House - Bethlehem was my first impression of this business. I loves me some waffle House. Usually, they are down in the south. So when I found that there was one this far north, I was there. Unfortunately, I forgot to write my servers name down, but she was very friendly, very helpful, and she checked in on me periodically. Waffle House is famously open 24/7. And in fact, FEMA uses what they call a "waffle House scale Green (Open, Full Menu): Minimal to no structural damage. The area has power and the community's infrastructure is largely intact.... Yellow (Open, Limited Menu): Moderate infrastructure disruptions. The restaurant is operating on backup generator power or has low food supplies.... Red (Closed): Severe damage. This indicates catastrophic conditions, massive power outages, unsafe roads, or structural damage to the restaurant itself The restaurant has a nice "diner vibe" on the inside. Are you gonna be getting Michelin star cuisine ? Of course not. Are you gonna be getting delicious, good old-fashioned stick to your ribs American food? You're darn right..... They have a decent sized menu, but I decided to go with the basics. A "firework waffle, two eggs, and hashbrowns. The great thing about the hashbrowns, is you can add to them, with an absolutely amazing number of combinations. I had mine smothered. (with sautéed onion.), covered (with cheese,) diced (with tomatoes", and. Capped , (with mushroom.). These are not your normal restaurant hashbrowns they use high-quality dehydrated, hashbrowns, which rehydrated on site. The cheese was American cheese, which was perfect for the hash brown and the onions, tomatoes, and mushrooms provided a nice "pop" of flavor, to counteract the richness of the cheese As it says in their name, their specialty is the waffle. It was crispy. Flavorful, and rich. instead of milk, they use half-and-half, and they have a special proprietary waffle mix, that is made for waffle House, and waffle House only. I could definitely taste the quality of the waffle. The "firework candy", on top was fun, and the sweetness did not overtake the waffle. they played very well with each other. There was also a small dollop of whipped cream on the top Their coffee is great, and my eggs were absolutely perfect. The prices are extremely reasonable, and they also offer a military/veterans discount. I wish they were in California. The fact that they are not makes it such a treat. Arriving at 2 AM and waiting for other large parties to finish their tables, my group of 6 were seated within 15 minutes. The food ordered was delivered within 10 minutes of our order placement. Server and chef were very fast and on detail with our order. Considering the limited staff, I would recommend coming back to a good Waffle House here. Additionally, the firework waffle was impressive. While using the same simple waffle, the popping sweets blended into the waffle quickly and elevated taste. read more

Not like waffle houses in the south!!Stopped in at 5 o'clock on a Tuesday night , only one other table and two people sitting at the bar . Ordered two bacon deluxe cheeseburger platters with hashbrowns and 1 All-Star breakfast meal. Service was slow and unfriendly staff. No bacon on the bacon deluxe cheeseburgers. Food was cold and took forever. Nothing was brought out together. Too many other places to eat in the Bethlehem area to waste your time going to this place. Food was not great. The Texas patty melt was just a burger with 2 slices of cheese that was not melted. The bread was thick wonder bread. The blueberry waffle over cooked. The bacon was burnt. The sweet tea not so sweet. The hash brown was the only good food. Service was very slow even though it wasn't crowded. Ambiance- place was clean, the staff weren't friendly. A but disappointed because we drove 1 1/2 hrs thinking we would get the same experience as the waffle houses down south. Stopped in with my family. The wait wasn't long at all, maybe 8min before we were seating and ordering food. The food was tasty, delivered relatively quickly. The prices are always good. Staff was very pleasant. The only con was it could have been cleaner. I saw tops of tables that looked mostly clean but dirty napkins and forks and food on the floor underneath. Utensils needed a good wiping as well before using them. I didn't go into the bathroom. Preferred to wait until I got home based on what I saw. read more

I rarely review chain restaurants in general but wanted to do so here. Walking in this morning, the place was packed but the long wasn't terribly long at all. We were seated at the counter and I ordered 2 eggs with hash brown and toast for $6. Nothing fancy about this other than it hit the spot without overeating. Their hash browns are made fresh on the spot and very light. My son ordered the ham and cheese hash brown bowl and my wife ordered the bacon and cheese version of it. They both enjoyed their meal. Really really really cannot recommend this place enough. We were on a long drive back from a wedding in Allentown and decided to stop here and get breakfast on our way back to NYC. This place did not disappoint at all! Charming old skool diner layout with the booths situated right next to where the griddle bar is. The coffee was good, the food tasted superb and authentically like it was homemade. What topped it off is the staff were probably the most friendliest and attentive folks I've ever had the pleasure of being served by at a chain restaurant. Keep it up Waffle House! read more

Stopped here on the way back from a gig since we haven't had Waffle House in ages and we had someone with us who had never eaten there. This place at noon on a Sunday was BUSY. The wait was about 20 minutes, no big deal- well except for this one rude man- The young hostess was doing her best to please everyone and seat everyone quickly. Between her bussing the tables, wiping them down, seating people and keeping parties in order she had a lot to do, and was working very hard. One rude man actually came down on her for not clearing a table fast enough- He actually pulled her manager over and complained that she wasn't clearing tables fast enough. Seriously? This girl has been running around like crazy doing her absolute best with a full packed restaurant and about 20 additional people waiting to be seated and you have the absolute GALL to complain to her manager that she wasn't clearing tables (and not even a table you were to be seated at) fast enough for you? The girl looked defeated. Props to her manager who put the guy in his place in a very professional manner- and didn't reprimand the hostess. There aren't many Waffle Houses in this area and because of this expect a wait. Seating is pretty limited (especially with COVID restrictions still in place. The staff at this location is super friendly and always on top of things. Food is just as you'd expect and prices are excellent. read more

Whew ... so as a family of frequent travelers my sister had an urge for Waffle House . We did a quick Google search and seen this place was only an 1 1/2 ride away so we decided to go . When we arrived I noticed that there was NO PPE or protective measures for the guest , everything was super close together but after driving for a hour and some I was not leaving lol . The waitress we had was a little rude and rushed us I ordered a pecan waffle .. from the outside everything was good but as soon as I cut it open a big disgusting piece of hair popped out to say hello i told the waitress and she changed the waffle out. We drove four hours just to come here for nostalgia. For some reason, this waffle house is not as good as any of the other waffle houses we have ever had. The waffles were undercooked, even though we requested them to be slightly more cooked. There are a lot of good things missing off of the menu, and the service is very very slow. Not to mention the server forgot a dish that we ordered and by the time we received our order we had already waited so long we didn't bother requesting For the missing dish. Having have Waffle House for a while. It was always my go to place when I used to be on the road, too bad PA is the closest one in East Coast. The food are always great. The pork chop is a must have. I always order the pork chop and egg, with raisin bread. Yum yum. I like their grits too although didn't order this time. They made grits with butter. It taste really good if you eat with a little salt and black pepper (that's how I like it). The coffee is regular, taste ok; not strong enough for my taste.
