My wife and I were in town for the Christmas Market and decided to take a stroll in downtown Bethlehem. Billy's is located a few blocks from Main Street but easily accessible. Coming from New Jersey, the diner capital of the world, Billy's surpassed our expectations. We visited on a busy Saturday during lunchtime and had to wait 15 minutes for a table. It was worth it. My wife ordered Yanna's omelette and I ordered the vegan pancakes topped with strawberries and bananas with a side of sausage. My wife loved her omelette. Lots of spinach and feta cheese. Huge portion of potatoes on the side. My vegan pancakes were made with Almond milk. You have the option of ordering how many pancakes you want to eat. Based upon advice from our waitress, she suggested two since they were big. Good choice. Of course, we had coffee to wash it all down. As coffee snobs, the coffee was very good. The service was excellent and friendly. The prices were very reasonable. Believe it not, this is the first diner I have been to that offered vegan pancakes. For people with dairy issues, this is a great thing. The restrooms were clean which probably tells you the kitchen is clean. I've been to this diner several times now and never had a bad experience. The food is unique and delicious and service is always fantastic. My most recent visit I ordered Huevos Rancheros. It consists of grilled corn tortillas topped with refried beans, chorizo sausage, and Monterey Jack & cheddar cheese. It's accompanied with over-medium eggs, smashed avocado, and classic papas. I could have did without the beans, but other than that this dish was a winner. My favorite item on the menu is still the Sriracha Bowl. The tortilla bowl is filled with classic papas, pork carnitas, scrambled eggs, bacon, diced tomatoes, Monterey Jack & cheddar cheese, guacamole, jalapeños, scallion, and sriracha. Ordered through Uber Eats, and everything arrived on time and well-packaged. I tried Pano's Omelette, which was good but nothing particularly special -- tasty, just not overly memorable. The portion size could definitely be a bit bigger for the price, but the food quality itself was solid and fresh. Incredible. We just happened to see this driving through town, and we're very glad we did. All three in the party loved our food and ate every last bite. The San Marino Eggs Benedict got rave reviews. The kids grilled cheese was great. And the burger was cooked to perfection. Overall, I would give this place between three and four stars. I think service was five out of five, menu selection was five out of five, but flavor was three out of five. Although it's called a diner, I was pleasantly surprised to see a semi upscale interior, at least among the booth seats. Very friendly and communicative staff. Some street parking available, but nothing directly reserved for the restaurant. A good place to go if you're looking for something to it the breakfast/brunch scratch, but unfortunately, the flavors left a decent amount to be desired. Personally, I wish that there were more vegan options as I was not exactly in the mood for pancakes or something sweet. Maybe it's my stomach upset talking after eating eggs for the first time in a long time, but the texture with the cheeses and sauce was no bueno for me. My friend loved the hollandaise sauce, though. Different strokes for different folks I suppose. If someone asked me out for brunch, I'd try a different place first, but I wouldn't be opposed to coming back here altogether. Again, very nice staff, just not the most satisfying of breakfasts. The Greek coffee was a little bit gritty, which is possibly by design, but I really loved the dirty chai. I really enjoy the friendly and welcoming ambiance, with attentive service staffs who are always there to help you. The dining experience highlights the freshness of their omelette dish; notably the thick and fluffy toast and perfectly crispy yet tender hash browns, subtly enhanced with butter and onion! Last I saw, this please was shut down.....I'm actually shocked it's still open. This place gives true meaning to the word AVERAGE. Been here a couple of times.....last time I went to this place was back in 2017. Summer of '17 if I'm not mistaken. Was headed out of town and was there for a bite to eat before a 5 hour drive. Hostess seated me and my dining companion and we waited.....waited again then waited some more - I'm talking like 20 minutes...... Our waitress came and said, "sorry, we had a large party and we're short-staffed". Went to Billies Dinner last week for the first time and will not return. I ordered pancakes that comes with their own Vanilla Bean Syrup which turned out to be VERY VERY sweet. Best tasting burger in a long time They were two very thin patties with lettuce , tomato, onions. We got the special sauce on the side. My husband said it was to die for. It included thin, crispy, and tasty French fries. The service was outstanding. They were very knowledgeable about the menu and so friendly. The set up was warm and inviting. Manager came over and accused us of what? Lying that we never got two slices? What we were hallucinating? She said they only ever serve one slice. Sorry wrong my husband always gets two. Then she wanted names of waitresses serving us two! This is trivial but we were insulted at her accusation. Then she proceeded to tell us how she has bee. Manager for 3 years and its only one slice. We were in town to see family and on our last day decided to go walking around historic Bethlehem. Yelp skills helped me find this place and oh my! How have I been to Bethlehem for all the years in my life and JUST FOUND THIS PLACE?!? The people here are so freakin' cute and the food is so so so so good.
