Food that's absolutely a must order include the hummus platter, with extraordinary fresh bread. and the baklava. Both are epic! I had the lunch special, which was lamb kebabs with white rice. Lamb was ok but not remarkably spiced nor that tender. But it was good. The rice was a bit mushy and there was little to no dressing on the salad nor the red cabbage on the dish. Would have loved to have had something more like rice pilaf. Requested some white yogurt dressing on the side and this brought it together. I don't think one can judge a place based on the lunch special so I will definitely be returning to try more of their entrées that they're known for. We came by here during our trip to Allentown. No regrets and we loved the ambience, the service was warm & welcoming, and of course the food homely & tasty. We got the kebab platters. Wife got the Turkish meatball with Chicken Adana. I got the Lamb Chops with gyro. Side order of Hummus with Turkish bread. For dessert we got plenty of their Turkish Delights all of them were devoured with their Turkish coffee. PS. 4 stars...Was visiting Easton Pennsylvania and Anatolian kitchen was recommended as a simple restaurant with good Turkish food. The restaurant is open very simple, has a take out area in the front. It's a good size space and there was no wait on a Saturday evening. The service and food was good although it did not compare to other Turkish restaurants in New York. Everyone was polite, service was good, we were not rushed, prices were fair and they did put their own spin on a few dishes. They are great for families and offer breakfast, lunch and dinner. There are many choices on the menu for all your meal choices. For breakfast you can have eggs, pancakes, Belgian waffles, juices, coffee, teas, potatoes and much more. They offer salads, sandwiches, wraps and you can probably have them make you whatever you want in a variety of combinations. There were three of us and we shared the falafel balls, and the pan fried liver as appetizers. They were good but not the best they had. For entrees we had the baby lamb chops, the mixed grill and the chicken Shish kebab. The mixed grill and chicken shish kebab were very good. The portions were a good size. The lamb chops were just "ok" the quality and flavor were not up to par. I had the bulgar wheat instead of rice and that was excellent. I would recommend them for a nice, relaxed meal. read more

I absolutely love this restaurant. It is easily one of my must go to places whenever I am in Bethlehem. My family and I got our food to go this time, which was not as good as eating it fresh at the restaurant, but it still really holds up! We got the Chicken Shish Kabob and Lamb Shish Kabob lunch specials. The meat is all so soft and flavorful. I love lamb and theirs is one that I especially always love to get. On our way back, we stopped by this Turkish restaurant for lunch. From the outside, it seems like a huge place. They have an amazing lunch menu and I got the gyro (lamb and beef) platter $13 which comes with rice and green salad. In the rice, they put chickpeas which is a nice cool touch. My wife got the shish kebab platter lunch special for $15. The meat on our plates are moist and soft and definitely not laid in grease. Everything tasted very clean and we cleaned our plates. For dessert, my wife purchased a few Turkish delight and many of them are GF. The customer service at this place is fabulous. Definite recommend and the place is super clean. read more

Went with my Aunt Uncle and my 4 cousins. The food was amazing out of this world everything is made fresh to order. All there deserts and breads are fresh made every day. Best Turkish tea and coffee I have since I have been in service. I highly recommend the service is fast and friendly and we were not rushed. A few points to benefit those who care: 1) The food can be salty, but you can ask them to limit salt for some items. 2) Getting the check at the end can be slow. I will say, a lot of it was nostalgic for me as I used to work at a Mediterranean place a decade ago but I can also say the food tasted very authentic. I had their hummus and their mixed grill plate. Worst Turkish food I've eaten except for a place taken over by Indians. I don't know who they have cooking in the kitchen but none of this is right. Our meat was incredibly over-salted and the staff didn't offer an exchange. Cucumbers in salad were soft and some herbs were dried instead of fresh. I REALLY belive the salad is more than a day old and past is prime. Sigara Boregi was not just feta and it was in thin filo dough instead of traditional wrapper. They've taken every shortcut and provided low-level service. They didn't check on us and I had to wave them over. Finally, we sat in a booth. You could feel the metal spring/wires through this. For this price, you can get MUCH better fare, service & ambiance. I implore you not to waste your money. Also we went on a Saturday night during Ramadan. I grabbed the mixed grill plate and the veggie dumplings. The mixed grill came with rice, pita bread abd salad. It was fresh and delicious. The dumplings were covered with yogurt. They were good and I'm glad I tried them. I don't eat a lot of dumplings so I had no expectations. The order same with a small side salad, but I don't know if it was part of grilled meat dish or part of the dumplings dish. The service was quick and professional. Upon entering, the restaurant has the feel of a cavernous cafeteria. It is open and bare feeling with booths against the far wall. Our first course was babaganoush and it arrived with a fantastic crispy bread. My husband ordered chicken kebab. It arrived with a small salad and bulgur. His chicken was tender and delicious and the salad and bulgur were tasty. I ordered the vegetarian Turkish dumpling with yogurt. Although it was supposed to contain vegetables, it was small pasta pieces, swimming in oil and covered in yogurt. I thought it was awful. The dumpling seemed overcooked and it was all too greasy to even eat.After serving us, our waitress never came over to see how everything was. She sat at a table with some other women and ignored us until she brought the check. We won't be returning. read more

I love Anatolian Kitchen as a lunch spot, and not so much as a dinner spot. For basically the same meals, the jump in price seems very high for what you get. Went several times. For lunch, had had Gyros, their meat pies (there is a $5 one not to be missed), great Lemon / lentil soup, salads and hummus. All reasonably priced. For dinner has the combos, and honestly felt a bit ripped off from the shish kabob / lamb chop combo as well as the Turkish Meatball combo. The Turkish meatball especially was burnt and seemed like a frozen burger which was formed into small patties and charcoaled beyond taste. At $20-$25 a combo, they could throw more rice on the plate to fill it up. We actually left kind of hungry. Staff is very pleasant and they are very respectful and don't bring the check until you ask for it (it's not very clear, but you can end up sitting for 15 minutes waiting for it unless you tell someone). I'll stick to the lunch entrees and tell you to go try them. You'd have to twist my arm to get dinner again. read more

The ambiance is very cold. And the booth we sat down in I sunk down into so bad! It must have been a booth from the fifties or something! So I was deduced to feeling like a damn toddler sitting there! lol but no seriously it was bad! The service was cold as well. No smiles. No check-in on the food. Had to ask for takeaway items. We both got gyros but for some reason it took like 25 mins to get them? Which is odd to me considering Johnnys spit them out in two seconds. The gyros were standard. The meat could be cut much thinner. And the tziki needed a zip or kick. The chicken soup with bread was wonderful. The bread was perfect. I think if I ordered here I would just order out next time. I was so excited to learn that this restaurant was located approximately 30 min away from my house and that driving to North Jersey for Turkish food might not be my only option anymore. We started with the mezze platter and the shepherds salad (çoban salatası). The mezze were very tasty and were served with warm authentic Turkish bread. The salad tasted fresh, not like it sat around in the fridge all day. This is extremely important for a dish like this that has very simple ingredients. For our main meal we got the Meat Lover's Pide (Karışık Pide) and Lamacun, both of which were very well made and extremely flavorful. We also got the Iskender Kebab, the dish by which I judge all Turkish restaurants. In this case, they fell short for me. While the meat tasted ok, and most people wouldn't know what they are missing, I could tell that it was processed/packaged pre-made meat and not freshly made and carved onsite. I'm wondering if this was because it was early in the day and they save the good stuff for the busy dinner service. It was also served very plainly. I expected and would have appreciated a charred hot green pepper and some tomatoes at least along with my Iskender. These are very common accompaniments. The pilav that it was served with was also very underwhelming. I hope they will improve on this dish as it's a favorite of mine usually. The interior isn't fancy at all and is maybe even a little sparse. However, they have authentic Turkish music playing in the background and pictures and paintings of all things Turkish. The service was attentive and pleasant and I enjoyed the overall vibe. We're looking forward to returning with our children soon to try the Manti, Mercemek çorbası and other main entrees. read more
